Body Type Cheat Sheet Straight (Athletic)
Triangle (Pear)
Bust and hips are similar in width and a small defined waist. You also have slender neck, defined legs and arms. Your goal is to enhance your waist and maintain your athletic, amazing proportions. Avoid boxy items.
H i p s a re w i d e r i n comparison to your bust. You also have a nicely defined waist. Yo u h a v e l o v e l y feminine features such as your curvy hips and shapely legs. Look for tops with nipped or fitted waists to show off your figure.
Hourglass
Bust and hips are similar in width, but a more defined waist than a Straight body type. Your upper body is proportionate in length to your shapely legs. Avoid body items and allover bold prints that can hide your figure.
Inverted Triangle
Your upper body is wider than your hips. You possibly have broad shoulders and ample b u s t . Yo u l e g s a r e slender. Look for tops with scoop or v-neckline and tailored shirts that flare at bottom to add curves to your hips.

You have a larger waist than bust and hips, more bountiful curves than Oval. Your shoulders are narrow, you have slender lower arms and defined lower legs. Your goal is to create a waist and lengthen lower body. Avoid clingy fabrics that stick too close to the body. Look for empire waisted tops. Avoid super wide or tapered pants.
Similar to Triangle, but have a shapelier figure and appears shelf or stacked appearance. Look for tops that skim the midsection without adding volume. Avoid flare leg pants, instead opt for bootcut or trouser jeans in dark washes and simple back pockets. Look for skirts with clean lines such as Aline or pencil skirts.
Circle (Oval)
Your midsection is larger than your bust and hips. Hips are n a r ro w c o m p a re d t o y o u r shoulders. The goal is to tone down midsection and create a defined waist. Avoid baggy clothing. Look for wrap style tops with simple sleeve details. Look for mid-rise pants and skirts with rushing or gathering.
