Urban Design Project Year : 2016

“Sri-tahn community have long lives hisory. The community located on a hill adjacent to the city center of khonkaen. Now, this old and lively community is changing through time. The local became saperated from each other, an architecture character that used to identified vernacular is disapearing. The concept is to recreate the community identity to attract tourist into the city and develop the potential of sustainable and healthycommunity such as bicycle lanes, outdoor gym, religious square and Talad(shopping market).”

“Khonkaen City is Center of Education in Isan region, according to the research the city have the most number of schools, 62 tutor academies and the largest university of the country. As the city development project are on the way, Khonkaen would construct the LRT on Mitrapab street to connect TOD(Transit-Oriented Development) of the city. From the data, I decided to design the Education center where student from all over the region can come to study and learn or socialize and sports.”

Greatest East Asia War HISTORY MUSEUM

“The museum that exhibit about the history of World War II, typically about Pacific how Thailand become an allied to Japan Empire at that time and what happened to Bangkoknoi Old Train station as the project location due to its long history of the war bombed by the Allied and used to be the camp of Japanese trooper. Also, the train objective was to build the track from Thailand across Myanmar to attack the Allied in of the society at that time and to create a public space that connect the circulation from

Pacific war that occurred in Thailand. The exhibition present to Thai citizen during the time of the cruel war. I’ve selected war and the place is surrounded by a museum. The place was track was paid an important role because of Japan’s main India. The architecture was designed to reflect the separation from the plaza to the rooftop.”

The interior exhibition are divided into 2 separate ways.

“In 2017 , AP Thai x Fabrica have been co-operated on CSR project for scholarship students. They worked on designing a space and furniture for a small space condominium. Their purposed was to create a learning, creative, sharing and co-living space.

According to the Idea above, ApostrophyS re-created the space in front of the TCDC Building to create an activity that could connect people who visited BKKDW2018.”

“Bluescope is one of the most influential company in a manufacturer industry. Metal sheet is the material that every warehouse storage in Thailand or even around the world was built from. In the, Pavilion we design the architecture within the concept of “rice warehouse”. We recreated the form and detail of structure, material of sack and a color of the metal sheet.”

Our first idea was how could we create an art with zero waste material and less disturb a community. Second idea is how could we present Taladnoi Community in IF it changed through time. Then we selected 3 locations throughout the area and re-design the future overlaying on the actual architecture”

The world in this modern-day may seem like a place for one races, which is the human race. However the ecosystem consist of many different types of living organism supporting one another, the increasing population mean that more forest is being invaded to create houses and farmland instead. Many animals species have suffered from the birth of new city due to the fact that it is in their natural habit to migrate from one place to another, it is either they go through the city and exposes to risk and danger or take a new route. This force many animals and insects to change their natural habitat, which affects the ecosystem in a large area.

In this project, we introduce the concept of co-living where animal habitat is placed within man-made structure, the pieces are portrait as a shelter for the animal where they can rest safely on their journey. This will also increase the green area of the city acting as a bridge connecting other living organisms to human. The location of these structures maybe various some as design are a part of a city, some are placed in a more remote area. Though this benefits both sides, human can use these shelter to observe other animal and insect species, even for educational purpose. In the term of sustainability, the structure is a machine of living that can keep itself from running without needing power, making a city more sustain in the long term. The project may host various species but the monarch butterfly, sea turtle, and white stork bird are the three main species are chosen to be emphasis on the design. These three species are difference in most aspect but have one characteristic that connects all of them to the design that is their habit of long immigration habits and importance to the ecosystem. For example the monarch butterfly play a big role in pollinating flower and plants.

OIL RIG MARINE

The project is a renovation of an abandoned oil rig, once the area has run out resources these rigs are often left to deteriorate over time. The project offers to renovate the structure into a marine centre, without having to spend too much since most of the mainframe still remain. The underwater net like platform will be home to coral reef and marine life, while glass plates will be installed to the existing structure for observing marine life. Overlaying each net like platform on top of each other also help to The oil rigs can act as a shelter for migrating sea turtle to rest before continuing their long journey. The top platform is transformed by planting more trees making it into a new safe haven for bird immigrating.

BIRD-NEST TOWER

The structure is fuse as part of the city skyscraper, this mimics the benefits of a tree. One advantage that most birds have over it predator is their ability to nest high in the tree protecting themselves from any ground level predator. Birds are one of the most active species of animal in terms of migrating, for example, the white stork bird travel annually from Africa to Europe. The structure act as a tree since now a day there are not enough tree for birds to rest during their journey of immigration. In the future, there will be laws that state every building must have at least a safe green space for animals to stay.

TREELINE HIGHWAY

The structure has inspired from the monarch butterfly original habitat, every year thousand and thousand of monarch butterfly migrates from the north to the south during winter time toward warmer weather. Monarch butterfly main food are milkweed plant which greatly reduces due to the heavy agriculture, and because many big cities is in their migration path most butterfly did not survive this rough journey. In the future public transportation will be more popular and convenient there will be less construction of the highway. The project introduces a renovation of an abandoned highway rebuilding the top to be a green road which accessible to animals and insect. The animal may use this path to travel, rest, or even relocate in any area of this highway. Since it is a highway it is separated from the ground level which makes it less accessible to human but still available to other species.
