Working with my kiddos. Being an entrepreneurial family means inventing and implementing, together. I’m fortunate my kids seem to have “caught the bug” early. Part of my experience of being an entrepreneur has been learning how to deal with Failure. It isn’t a “happily ever after” story when running a business. In fact, the life of an entrepreneur is mostly about learning from mistakes (I’m a pro!, Ha!). Because some of my kiddos now also run small business ventures of their own, I’ve had the blessing of also watching my kiddos victories and experiencing their failures. Life can be a beautiful experience when we can embrace the failures with meaning and as an opportunity for growth. My mantra on this topic for several years now has been: To be “happy” in life, you need to be a good lemon(aide) maker! The “lemons” will always come in life, it’s how well you can use the “lemons” as a useful “ingredient” that makes the all difference. Go ahead, add a little sugar on those lemons and enjoy life!
