In April of this year, Nakhla was excitingly nominated as one of Katerva’s “Top 50 Finalists” out of a list of over 1,000 applicants worldwide. The Katerva Award is prominently known as the “Nobel Prize for Sustainability”, bringing together the world’s best innovative solutions for environmental sustainability. They cover 5 main categories: food & water, cities & mobility, energy & environment, health & wellbeing, education and human resources. The program supports projects that could possibly help to realize an increase in global prosperity and human welfare whilst decreasing our destructive influence on the planet. This is an exciting opportunity for Iraqi-based projects working any of the aforementioned fields. Big congratulations to Nakhla for reaching the Top 50! The Station Foundation wishes you the best of luck with the remainder of the program.
