This is much more than an album to me, it’s like a movie, from the first to the last track, when I listen to something fully I close my eyes and listening to this album the first time with my eyes closed I felt I was in Compton, I felt like I knew everyone I was saying

‘Yo’. I felt like I was in the car with him and his bredrins. It’s telling you a story & I love the fact that he doesn’t only have different writing techniques but also recording techniques. To hear another artist do it’s remarkable. What is your favourite song on the album? Between ‘Money Tress’ and ‘Backseat Freestyle’.

My favourite book is by Ben Carson, a doctor from America. I’ve been reading his books since I was a little boy but when I was in jail, I read it and gained an understanding as a man. Sometimes you can do something as a kid and it doesn’t fully digest. Even though our stories are not similar I just took certain lessons.

He had a fight with his bredrin where he stabbed him but it didn’t pierce, instead it hit his belt and it made me realise although he was a doctor it could of went somewhere else. I also still read the Bible regularly and I like the series ‘Baby Father’

The show started with these 6 ft 5 tall glamazons miming to Pink and Katy Perry then suddenly I noticed these weird looking suits whispering into their sleeves. I spy this tiny women in a leather dress, her face all smeared with makeup and two sidekicks, faces all painted white. I’m like, “how nice, some people made an effort for the show!”. Then minileather-woman gets up and starts filming everyone on a tiny camera. And then it dawns on me...that tiny woman, the security guys, the weird posse- it’s Lady Gaga! ‘‘Every single Muslim watching this … On 7/7, you got away with killing and maiming British citizens … We will not tolerate it and the Islamic community will feel the full force of the English Defence League’’ The Former English Defence League leader Tommy Robinson, speaking to an anti-Islamic demonstration in Tower Hamlets, East London in September 2013.

On the 8th October, Tommy Robinson... announced that he was leaving the organisation that he co-founded due to concerns he has over the “dangers of far-right extremism”.-

glish e The E n agu D e fe n c e L e h e r e

Are thsety to ay?

The English Defence League has grabbed their fair share of the headlines throughout the year in this country. At the start of each news story regarding the Anti-Islamic party, we are used to hearing the name of one man who is regarded as the figurehead within the EDL, who not only causes controversy within the confines of a Television Studio and on the streets of the United Kingdom, but has gained notoriety in the past six months through the tragic death of British Army soldier Lee Rigby. Yes, we all know who Tommy Robinson is, but for how much longer will he be in the spotlight?

On the 8th October, Tommy Robinson (or Stephen YaxleyLennon to those who know him closest) announced that he was leaving the organisation that he co-founded due to the concerns he has over the ‘‘dangers of far-right extremism’’. The step-down of Robinson, who is firmly based in Luton, caused shockwaves throughout the party and amongst its supporters, with one Twitter user epitomising the views of its thousands– strong fan base. ‘‘Shocking! So the last man standing against Islamic radicalism has given up and ran away. You weren’t as brave as you claimed!’’ Robinson’s departure subsequently paved the way for many other instrumental figures to leave the party, including co-leader Kevin Carroll, who was regarded as Robinson’s ‘right-hand man’. Although the EDL released a statement hours later stating that the group ‘‘will not die because they’re walking away’’, a serious threat is posed towards the stability of the group, with many critics of the party feeling that their time is over.

When reading Robinson’s statement, or as others would call it ‘‘The news I have been waiting to hear for months’’ on the BBC News website, a number of questions emerged inside my head. The first one clearly challenges Robinson’s resolve, because if he has quit due to the dangers of far-right extremism, why did he even bother to co-found and lead a party that actively protests against far-right extremism? The second and more probing question that I asked myself was whether the English Defence League actually has a future without the man who single-handedly raised their profile from a weak, breakaway party of the BNP to a PR-fuelled mob of thousands that want to ‘cleanse’ their country of terrorism and radicalism. Are the EDL here to stay? With hints that Robinson may be about to form yet another breakaway party, with the emphasis on not organising street protests, this may compound the EDL even further into desolation. If we look back at the party which was once run by a man who owns a sunbed shop, we may be able to tell if they have a leg to stand on, or just two feet to run away with. The English Defence League was founded on the 27th June 2009. According to the party’s website, their creation was caused in reaction to ‘‘the shocking actions of a small group of Muslim extremists who, at a homecoming parade in Luton, openly mocked the

“Even Nick Griffin, Chairman of the British Nationalist Party and most likely one of the most hated people in the country described Tommy Robinson and his men as ‘Goodhearted moronS’” sacrifices of our personnel without any fear.’’ While reading the EDL’s ‘‘mission statement’’, you get the impression that they attempt to retreat from biting off more than they can chew. With Islam being the second largest religion practised within the UK, and there currently being over two and a half million Muslims in England alone, the EDL try desperately not to further antagonise and isolate a group that they consider the enemy. Other policies from the Defence League include ‘Ensuring that the public get a balanced picture of Islam’ and ‘Working in solidarity with others around the world’. This is all well and good put it doesn’t particularly help in their effort to paint over the cracks of their real agenda and the bad reputation it is giving to Tommy Robinson.

From 2009 to early 2013, the English Defence League operated in very slim numbers, with their official Facebook page having only a few hundred supporters. There were very few incidents in terms of publicity, which stagnated the growth of the EDL. They needed an incident in which they could rally behind, and that the same time help gain awareness of their own political views. On 22nd May 2013, the English Defence League was presented with a golden opportunity which was to emerge from the wake of a tragic incident which perplexed British society.

PAGE 17

Private Lee Rigby, Drummer of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, was brutally murdered outside the Royal Artillery barracks in Woolwich, South-East London. Two men, now known as Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale were reprimanded for the attack. The attackers, who belong to the Islamic faith after once being Christians, brandished knives with their blood stained hands, and recorded their version of events immediately after fatally assaulting Rigby, with Adebolajo stating ‘‘The only reason that we have killed this man today, is because Muslims are dying daily because of British Soldiers.’’ Through the heartbreak and incomprehensible grieving suffered by the British public, the EDL attached themselves firmly to this incident. As well as their followers on social media networks, Robinson’s street protests began to gain in momentum. Speaking to Channel Four in a rally Birmingham in July 2013, Robinson made note of the Lee Rigby incident and the success the EDL has felt because of it. “Since Woolwich, in a terrible way, it gave people a platform to listen to what we were saying…it’s common sense what we stand for and everyone’s agreeing.” It wasn’t just that people were agreeing with Robinson’s point of view, they were actively taking to the streets, now in their thousands, clad in balaclavas and lager cans in their hands, clinging on to every word being prophesised from the mouth of Yaxley-Lennon. Although it seems through my writing that the English Defence League were the glorious and law abiding party that everyone loved, it is far from the truth. Nearly every politician, celebrity, journalist and important figure condemned the actions of the EDL, which has seen them leave a wake of destruction

and fear towards Muslims and the wider community. For example, on 27th May 2013, just five days after the death of Lee Rigby, it was reported that EDL league member Adam Rodgers had taken to Facebook to gather support in order to burn down a mosque in Hastings, East Sussex. This epitomises the inherent violence that is depicted within Tommy Robinson’s loyal supporters. Even Nick Griffin, Chairman of the British Nationalist Party and most likely one of the most hated people in the country described Tommy Robinson and his men as ‘‘Good-hearted morons’’. A back handed compliment it may be, but it altogether shows the real perception of the English Defence league, and the ultimate reason as to why Yaxley-Lennon finally relinquished his stranglehold over the EDL. Personally, I don’t think that the EDL are here to stay. Tommy Robinson was undoubtedly the beating heart of the right-wing organisation. Now that both Robinson and Kevin Carroll have said farewell to their band of merry thugs, there is no organisation, no one to take the reins of a political party that is desperate for guidance and direction. In the end, the majority of people who make up the EDL are predominately white, working-class men who make up only a fragment of the population, which David Cameron calls a ‘multicultural society’. This means that no major political group, not even the BNP will give political or financial support to a group that will cause more trouble than they’re worth. This looks like the end of the road for the English Defence League. Words by Fraser Simpson What’s your opinion on the EDL? Do you think they have a real future? #CUTTINGCOMMENT @ FraserJSimpson @TheCutMag

G N I E B S E O D T A H O ‘W T N A E M ENGLISYHOU?’ Emma, 17 Celebrating in the street when someone in the royal family gets married. Taymah, 19 Baked beans, tea and rain.

What does it mean to ‘defend Englishness’? In light of the EDL’s current campaign, we asked members of The Cut team whether Englishness was relevant to them, and what it meant to them as young Londoners in 2013.

Leanne, 17 Embracing the culture; monarchy, armed forces etc., being a part of the UK - I prefer the term “British”, as I identify more with it; “English” seems to apply more to white people. Caira, 17 I don’t know if it’s a good thing or a bad thing but you’re not seen as fully English in England even if you were born here you’re more recognised for your ethnicity.

Ashanti, 17 Personally being English doesn’t mean anything to me because we live in a society where we are judged by the stereotypes we are given for example me being a black female teenager is expected to either be pregnant or an underachiever who is hopped up on drugs. Imani, 17 Many things, that you belong to a geographic area. Well I don’t know. Even if u go on holiday it ain’t the same cos u don’t belong there init. Nathaniel, 15 It means I have the rights to be here. Rayan, 20 Living in ENGLAND means that I have more rights here than I do most anywhere else in Europe. I can speak my mind and not get arrested (I hope).

Micheala, 18 I’d describe being English, as being nationalists, they are able to identify with the typical conventions of being an ‘English’ person. Kemar, 20 Being apart of something that’s not apart of you. People outside of Great Britain think only white people live in England. Derrick, 21 The accent is weird. Fraser, 22 To me, being English is to be part of a prestigious, historical and extremely creative and intellectual nation, but at the same time it is to constantly moan about the weather, to drink gallons of tea and to carry unrealistic expectations of the national football team. Nadia, 18 England to me means rain and a place for historical fascination, England changes it never stays the same but that the great thing

Nellie, 21 Being English doesn’t mean much to me, I feel more pride in the specific area I’m from; being from South London means more to me than being English. Gabriel, 19 To be English is to always have a great relationship with the staff at the local Kebab shop. If you don’t have that i’m not sure you can call yourself a proper Englishman. Paul, 18 I’d say being open to a multicultural society. Hannah, 21 England is my birth place and for the most part I am Proud of my origin. But no one really comes from england anymore. Kasim, 25 There should not be a singular explanation of ‘being English’ because it’s a sense of belonging, emotion, national

Nariscia, 17 It’s about Patriotism a shared sense of moral values. Emily, 18 Being English means to me its my home and in a way my way of life, nothing about blood or religion Aretha, 18 I personally don’t feel if you’re born in England you’re english. Being in England means you should accept the culture but on a whole, Nationality is taken too seriously. Kadeem, 16 It’s about living in the country, but that comes with accepting the culture of drinking tea. Interviews by Samiah Anderson

17-year-old Rainy Milo is mixing her own form of R&B from the suburbs of London. Fusing jazz instrumentals with soulful hip-hop beats, Milo’s sound reflects a surprisingly wide range of influences. “I’m a massive Britney fan!” she exclaims. “I was cleaning out my room the other day and found a little cassette tape of ‘I’m a Slave 4 U’, that was probably one of the first records I had.” Other artists such as N.E.R.D and The Fugees who have stripped away the boundaries of musical genre with their music have inspired Rainy’s new hybrid of sound. When I first met Rainy Milo we were in the middle of a heat wave, which in London means anything above 23 degrees. “Last night I was on the verge of switching hotels, this city just doesn’t understand air conditioning” Rainy’s manager declared as I gulped back another glass of lukewarm water. Rainy’s manager is American and used to the fierce gusts of artificial wind that greet you upon entering all buildings. Rainy appeared from the changing rooms sporting a full white tracksuit paired with an oriental style yellow jacket and bright purple fur trimmings. I stared blankly at her and thought to myself, ‘How on earth does she look good in that?’ She was a vision even in 24 degrees of blistering heat. “I’ve always been into fashion” Rainy insisted. “Mainly because of my mum” she continued.

Rainy’s mother was born in South America during the 1960’s and raised her in London within a home that echoed to the sounds of jazz and had cupboards filled with cute pinafore dresses. “My mum hasn’t thrown any of her clothes out since she was 18, she can’t bear to let things go. I sit on the cushions in my front room and they are rock hard because they are stuffed with clothes” I froze in awe. Not even Ikea could think of a more innovative system of storage. For Rainy, personal style clearly filters into her overall image as a musician, but she insists it’s still all about the music. Dropping out of the Brit School at age 16 to pursue a music career on her own, Rainy indeed has the soul of a superstar. “I left early because I wanted to do my own thing. We were all there to learn but I already knew how to write songs and I just felt it was something no one could really ever teach me.”

“…I was cleaning out my room the other day and found a little cassette tape of ‘I’m a Slave 4U …” Francisco hills you can find her in one of the Bay’s many sweet shops, crying over chocolate. “They have this chocolate which tastes exactly like apple pie, when I tasted it I couldn’t believe it, so I started to cry!” Blazing her way through a season on the European festival circuit, Rainy’s grand summer finale was a successful performance at London’s LoveBox. “I’d always wanted to go to LoveBox, so for the first time that I went for me to actually be a part of it was really nice.” Still in the midst of her teenage years, Rainy Milo has many ambitions “It would be cool if Tupac could have done a little verse on one of my tracks.” Sadly this might be the one ambition she could only achieve in hologram form. Look 1 Jacket by Marry Me Jimmy Paul,

“I just love English biscuits” I heard Rainy’s manager say from the other side of the room. “In America we call them cookies, you know. What are those ones Rainy’s mom gives us?” he asked the guy who arrived with Rainy. “Hob Nobs.” The guy replied. “Yeah they’re great” beamed the manager.

Well I’ve been doing this for quite some time, because I had a band before I went solo called Lorena B, and we’ve been together now for 4 years so it’s like ever since I remember myself I’ve been releasing music and performing and doing gigs and stuff so it feels kind of natural. But also the fact that I’m doing this all by myself now, its new but also kind of scary because you’re the only focus so it’s really rewarding.

I read an article about you, where they described your music as ‘panic pop and MIA- esque’ – how would you describe your sound? I don’t really know how to describe my music and I don’t really like to describe it either because I don’t like to categorise it. I really try to just do whatever I feel, it changes a lot. My first track was really slow and weird kind of vibe, lots of pitch shifting and stuff. And then I started doing lots of hip-hop, rap trap kind of things. Kind of just make music depending on how I feel.

How would you describe your personal style? I think my main thing is the fact that I really like to get inspired by new things all the time and you can feel it through my music and in my look. I like to change my appearance and my style and my vibe like each and every time. I think that you can mostly see it in my videos, and each one has a different vibe. I find it exciting for me, and when I was a little girl, which was a long time ago unfortunately, I looked up to singers and their style and the way they were reinventing their style, and right now I’m super inspired by Manga. If you had to pick someone to collaborate with, who would it be and why? I think it would be Hudson Mohawke, he is an amazing producer and he has done a few tracks with Azalea Banks and Lunis. Besides him I would really love to collaborate with Drake. www.adiulmansky.com,

Would you like to introduce yourself? Hello, I’m Adio and I go by the name Bipolar Sunshine. How did that name come about? It came about through a whirlwind of thought, nah I’m only joking I’m chatting shit. You know what it is, I was in another band before and I wanted something that allowed me to have scope of variety and didn’t put me into a specific genre or a specific state of ‘I need to write a song’ or ‘I need to do this’. What’s wrong with the name Adio? Adio is a great name. It’s a fabulous name. I want to save it for something else. I’m saving for another project. Like opening up a bakery? Woo! Maybe - Adio parties, pies, French bread, garlic bread – anything a bit unusual…I don’t

“I w an t fr ee ro am to do w hat I w ann a do…” know what I’m talking about, you’ve put me in that mood where we talk about any kind of crap and I just roll with it. I just wanted something that allowed me because I didn’t want to give off a singer/songwriter type of vibe so I can be as outrageous as I wanna be. So if you don’t want to be described as a singer/ songwriter, how would you like to be described? The guy. Just ‘that guy’. I want free roam to do what I wanna do, obviously everyone says that but I feel like with this name it gives me another lease of life of being able to go for something I wouldn’t have been able to do as my normal Adio. If I feel like talking about two rabbits then I can do that, I’m just bored of people saying

‘oh you need to do this?’ ‘or ‘you need to that’ (He proceeded to slide along the chair) You wouldn’t serenade someone with your songs? After a few drinks I’m that guy - I’m nice with it though I’m not a pest. I just like to have nice chat. What if she says she’s got a boyfriend? Nah you haven’t got a boyfriend. Prove it. Show me your Skype. Has that ever worked before? Yes, she was stupid. Nah, I’m joking. Bipolar Sunshine’s EP Drowning Butterflies is out now.

“ T he r e ’s a p lanet ur that ’s n o t in o that s o la r s y stem see .. . scientists can it ’s It ’s fa r o ut but X” called Planet Okay so what’s next for Banditsu? I’m working on a debut EP/tape, it’s called the Miseducation of Itsu after the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, the only thing that was inspired from her album was the school theme, you know? So far I’ve got Suli Breaks on it, he’s taking over the world right now, I’ve got The Worst Kidd obviously. I’m gonna work with Thaimatic so yeah it’s hard to explain but so far it’s sounding like an amalgamation of old and new.

S teale r fro m Planet X Hi, would you like to introduce yourself? Hello, my name is Banditsu aka Young Bandai aka the Flow Keeper. I just made up the Flow Keeper now. Do you want to make up any more names? Errrm, Phoenix Dark. Is there any explanation behind Phoenix Dark? No, I’m being random. It’s just Banditsu and Young Bandai, hello. Hi. You’ve recently released the video for your song The Italian Job? Yeah it’s featuring The Worst Kidd, produced by Oh’ Mobbs. It’s very futuristic and yeah, people are loving it right now. So does the music video re-enact anything from the film? In the video we do emulate parts of the film but not

the new one with Mark Wahlberg, the original one with Michael Caine. If you were going to go Italy and steal something what would you steal? Pizza. A singular pizza? No no sorry, okay a suit because they have the best tailored suits in Italy don’t they? If you’re stealing it there’s no time for it to be tailored. I don’t want to go to jail because then…well that wouldn’t be good and I couldn’t release music. Can you not release music in prison? Shyne did it, are you more grand than Shyne? …Yeah why not, I’ve heard his music it’s a bit um messy…I’m not here to talk about Shyne; I’m here to talk about Banditsu.

Can I assume you’re smart then from this school theme? Erm I’m not the greatest academically. It’s the miseducation because it’s the good and bad things I’ve learned. In that case what’s the 3rd planet in the solar system furthest from the sun? Errm….Planet X. Planet X doesn’t exist. It does exist! There’s a planet that’s not in our solar system that scientists can see thank you very much. It’s far out but it’s called Planet X. Google that. If I’m wrong then I feel silly but google it. I will google it. Google it please. www.shadowcloneitsu.tumblr.com/ www.youtube.com/user/banditsu @Banditsu _ Music @TheCutMag @#BUBBLIN

Introducing Shamz LeRoc, self confessed singer and part-time yardie. With a lot of new ventures ahead of her and an undeniable love for Chris Brown and cats, we decided to catch up with the sultry singer. What’s the reception to the Lazy Days video been like? It was actually pretty amazing, I was kinda blown away. I was a little bit scared thinking how are people gonna take this but it got really good coverage and people really liked. Is there any new material you’re due to release? Yeah the next song is Bus Route, that’s produced by Herdavim? It might come out at the end of the year but we’re looking at a video next year so from there thats kinda where Im taking it.

Is there anyone you’d have feature in the video, like Missy had Timbaland and Ginuwine, who would you have? Ahhh if I could get Chris Brown out of rehab. Chris Brown or just a hot ting, I don’t care hot tings holla at me. Chris Brown ‘Yo’ era or Chris Brown now? Chris Brown all the time, I’m gonna make t-shirts that say I support Chris Brown. He needs to know there’s a girl out here that really cares for him. There’s a girl in London that cares for him that is willing to have her tweets of love to him used in blogs [in reference to a screen shot of a tweet from Shamz Vlad.tv used in a story about cryptic tweets between Chris Brown and Karrueche]. The joke is that was so random, I tweet him all the time just as a joke, to make my friends laugh so I just think what’s the craziest thing I can

say to Chris Brown today? All of a sudden my friend hit me up and said have you seen this?’ and it’s funny because to this day, I think it’s been a week or two I still get people retweeting it. What other London Talent do you think we should be looking out for? I would say definitely look out for Baishe Kings. They’re gonna do amazing things, I feel like we haven’t really had a rap group like them especially from the UK. My girl, Purple Ferdinand, she’s got some really amazing material. Yeah, I’d say look out for more of Herdavim’s production because he raps too so yeah those three, I keep it in the family. See Lazy Days here: http://www.

Dench is getting a bit old now; do you have any new words? What! You think Dench is old? THAT’S SO RUDE! Sorry. I hear that you are launching a female line of your Dench clothing – can I have some free stuff? You think it’s old, so no – you can pay. “Could you call me a Yardie?” “Yeah I could call you a Yardie, you’re a British Yardie.”

If Judi Dench asked you out what would you say? HELL YEAH. Where would you take her? I’d take her Nando’s.

Yes I can see you are wearing a lot of it now. Yeah I am. (Everything Lethal Bizzle was wearing had the word Dench on it, everything.)

“On a scale of one to ten how excited were you for this date?”…“1 and a half.”

“Would you ever give up your rap career for a girl?” “Well one girl said to me ‘it’s me or the music’… haven’t spoken to her since”

Who else would you like to take on a date to Nando’s? What about Tulisa? Nah that’s a bit leave it, actually that’s a very leave it situation.

My mother was incredibly excited when I told her I was going on a date to Chicken Cottage with Lethal Bizzle, partly because she wants me to get a boyfriend and partly because she has just discovered the word Dench. I was also excited for this date as I’ve always been a fan of Lethal B’s music – ‘Pow’ was the anthem of my youth growing up in Marylebone. When I arrived at Chicken Cottage I knew immediately that this date was going to be better than any other dates to Chicken Cottage I’d been on, and you know why? Because this Chicken Cottage had booth seating. Hello, I’m Amelia nice to meet you – what do you do? Um I’m a few things, I’m a rapper and business man – they’re the main two, I’ve got a clothing business called Stay Dench.

Have you ever been on a date to a chicken shop before? Nah I haven’t you know, this is the first date I’ve ever been on to a chicken shop. I wish I could say the same. Where was the first place you ever took a girl on a date? I went to the cinema with my girlfriend at school for her birthday. Are you still together? No. Good. When my friends at school went on dates to the cinema their parents went with them. Oh really? That’s a bit leave it. How many times do you think you say leave it a day? That’s a good question, I couldn’t tell you. It depends how leave it the day is, if it’s a very leave it day then it could be 100 plus. If it’s a Dench day then maybe 10 or 15.

nuggets in 15 minutes. I reckon I could. What classifies a leave it day? When everything is going wrong, like today started off a bit leave it – if there’s traffic on the road that’s a bit leave it. Are you not going to get any food? Nah I’m alright thanks. (This is now the third time that I’ve been the only one who actually eats on the date. I’m now beginning to wonder if people reading this might think I have a strange fetish for rappers with eating disorders.) How many chicken nuggets could you eat in 15 minutes? Ah I love chicken nuggets man, I could probably do 100. There is no way you could eat 100 chicken

Do you think the club is a good place to meet girls? I met my girlfriend at a club. What? You have a girlfriend? Yeah. Did you tell her you were going on a date with me to Chicken Cottage? Nah I haven’t yet. What’s your type? I like a big booty, but that’s probably obvious, breasts I don’t mind, they don’t have to be huge. Great. But personality is definitely important; you know I can’t be with you if you’re a dickhead. Like you might have an amazing body but if you’re a prick then nah leave it. Yeah or if you’re not Dench. Yeah if you’re not Dench it’s gonna be a very leave it time.

When was the last time you cried? When I crashed my car, my Audi R8 – I crashed into the back of some woman’s car. It was her fault though! She just stopped in the middle of the road! Then I had to ride around in a shitty £100 Focus. That’s terrible. Yeah but it’s fine I’m driving a convertible R8, I’m looking to sell it actually –you can have it if you want. Really? Yeah I’m getting a new car. Can you rate this date out of 10? This is been a good date you know, you seem pretty laid back. I’d probably take you on another date, if this first date was real. This date is real Um… yeah… Words by Amelia Dimoldenberg Photography by Ayesha Ahmed

How long have you lived in Balham? My whole life basically, apart from when I lived in New York! I went to school here and always stayed around the area. What’s your fondest memory of growing up here? Just playing on the street, I had a lot of friends around here growing up so we spent the summer playing outside and in the parks. What would you say to convince someone to move

PAGE 45

into the area? I would say that it’s very lively and there are a lot of nice places to eat and drink. You don’t have to go into central London to get a bit of nightlife but also it’s got a nice community feel to it. What the worst thing about the area? Rent prices! Best place to relax there? The parks, Wandsworth Common is quite relaxing. But also there are a lot of spa/massage places which I go to sometimes.

Is there a song that reminds you of the area? Just all of the songs that I listened to when I was growing up. All the 90s hits like TLC ‘Waterfalls’. Strangest thing that’s happened to you there? I found a lottery ticket once and won £100! www.iambabyblue.com
