Abstract

A method of analyzing pandemics based on astrological parameters and finding medicinal plants corresponding to planetary positions are discussed in this paper. Considering the Covid-19 cases, the position of Venus is a main factor in analysis. When Venus approaches Rahu, the spread and strength of the virus increases. Most care should be taken to control the whole system during these occasions. The pattern seems to repeat in China every 17-18 years and may repeat in 2038-39 also.

Introduction

A disease prevalent over a country or the whole world is known as pandemic in general. The earliest recorded pandemic happened during the Peloponnesian War during 430 B.C. After that, the disease passed through Libya, Ethiopia and Egypt. About two-thirds of the population died due to this. The Antonine plague was started in 150 A.D. with appearance of smallpox in the Huns, then to Germans, Romans and finally spread throughout the Roman empire. The symptoms were fever, sore throat, diarrhea etc. This plague continued until about 180 A.D. Cyprian Plague with symptoms of Diarrhoea, vomiting, throat ulcers, fever and gangrenous hands and feet was spread in 250 A.D. Justinian Plague spread in 541 A.D. Leprosy was affected for many in 11th century as a pandemic in Europe. During 1350 A.D., the Black Death was severe with a loss of onethird of the world population. During 1492 A.D., diseases such as smallpox, measles and bubonic plague were passed along to the native populations by the Europeans. These diseases devastated indigenous people, with as many as 90 percent dying throughout the north and south continents.

The outbreak of plague in London affected well in 1665 A.D. The Bubonic plague led to the deaths of 20 percent of London’s population. First Cholera pandemic in London was started in 1817 A.D. This wave of the small intestine infection originated in Russia, where one million people died. A vaccine was created in 1885, but pandemic continued. But in 1855, the Third Plague pandemic started in China and moved to India that claimed 15 million victims. During 1875, Fiji Measles pandemic started followed by the Russian Flu in 1889, which was the first significant flu pandemic in Siberia and Kazakhstan, traveled to Moscow, Finland and Poland and finally the rest of Europe and at the end of 1890, some 360,000 persons died. The Spanish Flu out broke in 1918 which resulted in 50 million deaths worldwide. This was first observed in Europe, the United States and parts of Asia before swiftly spreading around the world. During 1957, Asian flu started in Hong Kong and passed through China into the United States, and England where over 14,000 people died within 6 months. Following this, a second wave started in 1958, causing an estimated total of about 1.1 million deaths globally, with 116,000 deaths in the United States alone. Later a vaccine was developed, effectively containing the pandemic. During 1981, HIV/AIDS was observed. Those infected by the HIV virus encounter fever, headache, and enlarged lymph nodes upon infection. In the year 2003, SARS was identified, which started possibly in bats, spread to cats and then to humans in China, followed by 26 other countries, infecting 8,096 people, with 774 deaths. SARS is characterized by respiratory problems, dry cough, fever and head and body aches and is spread through respiratory droplets from coughs and sneezes. During these days, quarantine efforts were found effective and by July, the virus was contained and has not reappeared since. China was criticized during this time in trying to suppress information about the virus at the beginning.

World Health Organization announced officially on March 11, 2020, that the COVID-19 virus as pandemic after barreling through 114 countries in three months and infecting over 118,000 people. COVID-19 is caused by a novel coronavirus—a new coronavirus strain that has not been previously found in people. Symptoms include loss of smell and taste followed by high fever and bronchitis which will lead to breathing problems and pneumonia. The first reported case was in China on November 17, 2019 in the Hubei Province, but went unrecognized. India is the second most affected country in the world with 2,06,65,148 COVID19 cases and 2,26,188 fatalities.
