Thank you for choosing Voltalis! By installing the Voltalis system in your home, you’re taking a smart step towards lowering your energy bills. This solution helps you save money by reducing your energy consumption, especially during peak times when polluting energy sources are often used. Your decision not only cuts costs but also helps reduce the reliance on polluting power sources, making a positive impact on both your household and the environment.
Voltalis helps homes save energy easily with its smart thermostat. This technology adjusts your energy use based on what’s available, reducing electricity consumption in many homes during short periods, especially when demand is high. These brief adjustments, typically for heaters or water heaters, are called “energy savings” and won’t impact your comfort.
When there’s more demand than supply, energy providers can either:
- Produce more energy using additional, often expensive and polluting power plants.
- Use less energy by asking Voltalis to lower the energy used in homes like yours. Voltalis manages these small reductions across many homes.
The Voltalis smart thermostat connects to your heater or water heater and can modulate their energy consumption to save energy without you noticing any difference in comfort.
These savings help lower overall energy use, keeping the grid balanced, while you enjoy the same comfort at home.
With the Voltalis smart thermostat, you can also access the MyVoltalis website to track your energy use and control how much you save, all in real time.
Why produce more energy when we can lower our consumption?
Using modulations to lower your energy usage is a real alternative to reduce the demand of fossil fuel generated power plants. When you have a Voltalis smart thermostat installed, you contribute to reducing this very polluting energy production by lowering your carbon footprint.
Significantly reduce your CO₂ emissions.
The Voltalis system allows you to save money in two ways:
The Voltalis smart thermostat: the short modulations help you save energy while keeping your home comfortable. You don’t have to do anything.
Your MyVoltalis app: allows you to control, manage and optimise your consumption, as well as to identify your expenses, mitigate them, and witness your actions in real time.
With your Voltalis smart thermostat, you're helping to stabilise the UK's power supply. By balancing the grid, you’re also reducing the need for polluting energy sources during peak times.
Since Voltalis gets paid by the energy network for making these adjustments, this service is completely free for you.

This tab shows your total annual consumption by month. It also shows your area’s average temperature for any given month. It also compares any year’s consumption with the previous’ year, to allow you to identify consumption patterns.
The screen shows your consumption per appliance type, depending on the type of appliances installed. Below is an example of a household equipped with heaters and a water heater:
This page lets you control your appliances by switching them ON or OFF and setting up heating schedules. Simply choose the room or appliance you want to manage, and customise settings while keeping your home comfortable.
Every action counts when it comes to saving energy. Visit the “Advice” tab in your MyVoltalis space for practical tips to maximise savings and reduce waste. These tips target specific areas of energy use to help you build smarter habits.
With MyVoltalis, you can remotely control your heat pump and monitor energy consumption with precision. Here’s what’s the same and what’s different compared to users with heaters:
Features that remain the same:
The following features in MyVoltalis are the same for both heat pump and heater users:
The structure and overall appearance of the MyVoltalis app.
The home page of the application.
“Consumer” pages and related features.
“Advice” pages.
The “My Space” section.
What’s different for heat pump users:
Heat pump operations differ from other heating systems. Specifically:
Heat pump controls are limited to ON/OFF settings, whether in manual or programmed modes.
MyVoltalis only controls the heat pump that generates heat and does not support room-by-room heating management.
Using MyVoltalis to control your heat pump:
Heat pumps take more time to adjust compared to electric radiators, so short-term adjustments are less effective.
For instance:
If you're away for just an hour, there's no need to turn off your heat pump.
If you're away for several days, you can turn it off and schedule it to restart a few hours before your return—all via the MyVoltalis app.
The LED indicators are located next to the button on the control modules. Press the button briefly (for 1 second) to activate the LED indicators and get a quick diagnosis of the module's operating status.
Normal operation No action required
Module not powered Appliance Management not possible through MyVoltalis
Total loss of signal Appliance management not possible
Make sure all circuit breakers are ON (in the high position) in the main electrical panel.
If the issue persists, contact Voltalis.
Module is connected but heating management is not working properly
Check that all circuit breakers are ON in the main electrical panel.
If a communication module is installed, confirm that:
- The Green LED is lit (module powered).
- The Blue LED is lit (network connection).
If the Blue LED keeps flashing, or if no communication module is present, contact Voltalis.
Check that your heaters are set to the correct mode. If the problem persists, contact Voltalis.
Good to know: To turn off the LEDs, press the button for 1 second. Alternatively, the LEDs will automatically turn off after approximately 30 minutes.
My appliance doesn’t heat
• Check if the device is getting power. Look at your electrical panel to see if the circuit breaker has tripped or if a load controller temporarily cut the power.
• Make sure the radiator is switched to “On” or that the peak/off-peak contactor for your water heater is set to “Auto,” not “0” (on your electrical panel).
• Look for any open windows if your device has a window detection feature that might have turned it off.
• If the radiator has power but isn’t heating, the set temperature might already be reached. Try increasing the ‘Comfort’ temperature, and double-check that it isn’t in Eco or freezing mode, or that a schedule is running.
• Check if the temperature setting has been changed. If it has, reset it to your preferred Comfort level.
My appliance heats all the time
My appliance doesn’t follow the schedule set in MyVoltalis
• Make sure the radiator isn’t in a drafty spot or near an open door, as this could throw off the temperature readings.
• See if the “Forced start” function was accidentally switched on.
• Check that the radiator is set to “Programming” mode (e.g., pointing to “Prog,” “Auto,” or the clock icon). Refer to the device manual if needed.
• Look for an energy manager or central programmer that might be sending conflicting commands. If there is one, turn it off.
• Go over the programming schedule in MyVoltalis to make sure it matches what you want.
