Nurturing Health
nutrition that works
Beat the Heat and Stay Healthy
Stay Hydrated
• Maintain electrolyte balance when you are sweating a lot, especially being active outdoors for long periods. Consider adding a non-caffeinated, low-sugar, electrolyte-containing beverage to your hydration regimen.
• Drink water consistently, aim for 9 to 12 glasses per day, during the hot summer days. It is an excellent way to cool down body heat, keep your energy levels high, and help you eat less at mealtime.
Don’t Drink Excess Calories
• Enjoy alcohol and sugary, iced drinks in moderation, as they are high in calories. Drink ice-cold water or coffee instead.
• Consider protein-rich smoothies with fresh fruit to keep you full and help maintain lean muscle without added sugar and empty calories.
Don’t let the sun and fun distract you from healthy living. Optimize your health and overall wellness with these summer nutrition tips!
Eat Healthily for Weight Management
• Eat seasonal fresh fruits and vegetables as they are loaded with vitamins, minerals and fibre. Take along veggies as healthy snacks for sport games, outings, and social gatherings.
• Grill smart. Avoid traditional hamburgers, hot dogs, brats, or highly processed meats. Choose lean (and skinless) poultry, organic steaks, fish, seafood, and “grillable” veggies such as corn on the cob, zucchini, eggplant, mushrooms and squash.
• Make protein shakes with plant protein powder, fresh fruits and dark green leafy vegetables. They are excellent pre- or postworkout nourishment or meal replacements if you are on the go or trying to stay in shape.
Supplementation
Summer often encourages us to embrace a more carefree and relaxed lifestyle, but it is not a time to let up on healthy nutritional habits. Take good supplements to ensure your body is getting the right amount of nutrients to stay healthy and strong.

Combining meal preparation with family food excursions promotes a healthy eating environment and enhances family ties. It transforms healthy eating from a chore to an instructive and enjoyable family activity. Making these routines a regular part of family life allows parents to develop lifetime good-eating habits in their children, paving the way for a healthier future.
Engaging children in meal preparation can promote healthy eating. Children may assist with simple jobs such as washing vegetables, stirring ingredients, and arranging the table from an early age. As kids become older, their duties expand, allowing them to participate in increasingly difficult kitchen activities. This hands-on approach increases the likelihood that kids will taste and love the items they assist in preparing. Cooking together also allows parents to teach their children about nutrition, where food comes from, and the value of a balanced diet. This information helps youngsters to make healthy eating choices on their own.
Family food excursions can increase children’s interest in healthy eating. These experiences might be as easy as going to a local farmers’ market to buy fresh produce or visiting an orchard to pick
Encouraging Healthy Eating Habits in Your Children in Children
apples and learn about the different varieties. They may be as complex as organizing themed cooking nights, including dishes from other nations, or taking a cooking class together. Such activities expose youngsters to a wide range of foods and flavours, fostering more experimental eating habits. Furthermore, planting a modest vegetable garden at home may be a fulfilling experience. Children who help plant, nurture, and harvest their food frequently acquire a stronger appreciation for fresh produce and are more willing to eat what they have raised.
When children are actively involved in meal preparation and family food excursions, encouraging them to eat healthily can be a fun and interactive process. Participating in these activities help youngsters form a healthy relationship with food, gain key life skills, and grow more willing to try new, nutritious meals.

A: Extensive testing has been conducted on the bottle, atomizer, and pump mechanisms to monitor the quantity and potential variability of each administered application. AIM Blue Diamond
Director Shakti Selwood from Queensland, Australia, shared a helpful tip about using the REPLY Day & Night Cream, which is packaged in a round container with a well-designed air pump. Her recommendation for proper use of the air pump is to press it once and then wait two to three seconds, allowing the pump to rest and for air to flow back behind the cream. A single full pump should be enough for your entire face. In addition, the cream container features a screw-top lid, minimizing wastage as the cream amount decreases.
*If the lid is removed, an average of 1.9 grams or 6 applications can be removed.
Q: Both REPLY Essence/Toner and Day & Night Cream contain Saccharomyces Ferment Filtrate. What does it do?
A: Saccharomyces ferment filtrate is made by fermenting yeast cells and collecting liquid fraction. It has several beneficial properties for the skin, including hydration, balancing uneven skin tone, promoting collagen production, enhancing tissue repair, reducing environmental stress, and providing antioxidant effects. It is rich in essential minerals, amino acids, beta-glucan, and vitamins, making it beneficial for moisturizing, soothing, skin brightening, and wrinkle repairing. It also helps maintain the skin’s condition, protect it from external factors, and strengthen the skin barrier by promoting the production of hyaluronic acid and peptides, which enhance moisture retention and boost the production of ceramides. Saccharomyces ferment filtrate is easily absorbed into the skin due to its smaller molecular size, increasing its potency and effectiveness. Studies have shown its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and collagen-boosting properties can help reduce signs of aging, improve skin hydration and elasticity, and repair damaged skin tissue.

Dietary Protein Intake in Midlife in Relation to Healthy Aging
There is no doubt that protein plays an important role in maintaining the health status of older adults. A recent study examined protein intake in relation to healthy aging.
Researchers examined answers from 48,762 female participants, aged over 60 in 1984, in the Nurses’ Health Study (NHS) that evaluated their total protein, animal protein, dairy protein (a subset of animal protein), and plant protein intake derived from validated food frequency questionnaires. Healthy aging was defined as being free from 11 major chronic diseases, having good mental health, and not having impairments in either cognitive or physical function, as assessed in the 2014 or 2016 NHS participant questionnaires.
The study has found dietary protein intake, especially plant protein, is associated with higher odds of healthy aging and with several domains of positive health status. A total of 3,721 (7.6%) NHS participants met their healthy aging definition. Protein intake was significantly associated with higher odds of healthy aging, and the plant protein scored the highest in odds ratios. Plant protein was also associated with higher odds of absence of physical function limitations and good mental status.
