Donations Hotline: 855-374-4790 In late May, 2013, several villages on the Yukon were flooded. Not to ignore other villages (Eagle Circle, Hughes, Sourdough, Emmonak and Alakanuk) that also sustained damage, but Galena had the most damage with nearly 100 homes totally destroyed either by water, huge chunks of floating ice, or mold; many more were damaged and 300 plus people displaced. Sept 14 Guided Hike (Registration required) 9:30am - 4pm Eagle River Nature Center Join volunteers Bob and Ann Fisher for a 10.5-mile roundtrip hike to picturesque Hidden Lake in the South Fork Campbell Creek Valley. The route is moderately strenuous with a total elevation gain of over 1700 feet. Hikers will meet at the Glen Alps (Flattop) parking lot (AK State Park day pass honored). Hikers must be in good shape and have completed a hike of a similar nature; bring a daypack with lunch, snacks, water, wind/rain clothing and warm layers. Dear Eagle River Business, The Blue Devil youth boys and girls hockey players in Eagle River are accomplishing great things with the Mustang Hockey Association! Our 77 competitive players range from nine to eighteen years of age. These teams have produced numerous State Championships and one National Championship. This October, Mustang Hockey Association will host the 2nd Annual “A Taste of Eagle River” to benefit all five Blue Devil Hockey Teams. Our Association has decided to have one large fundraiser per year to help defray some of the high costs of playing competitive hockey. Having one large fundraiser will also alleviate multiple teams making repetitive donation requests to our Eagle River business community. With this in mind, please consider making a donation to this annual event!
