us as Christ dances out the story our souls already knew is that this is good and enough. I don't know how lions lay down with lambs. I know how we are laid into the ground only to return in new life. May we repent of our need for such reminders and commit ourselves anew to the preservation of this metaphor and the truth that it directs us to.

when he was young he made his home in the briars protected by their thorns hiding there like a bird

now I am grown up and I cut and burn them where they grow cursing them when they prick my skin
