Valerie Guerrero BeezKneez Designs

Founder, The Artisan Group www.BeezKneezDesigns.com Valerie Guerrero spent over a decade as a Senior Operations Manager at several of the top investment banks in the world, and then as a graphic designer for Cisco Systems in the Silicon Valley, California. She founded her popular graphic design business, BeezKneez Designs in early 2008, offering customized invitations, announcements, holiday cards, and other paper goods. Valerie has since expanded her business to include eight additional shoppes, offering niche products such as birth announcements, wedding invitations, and kids party invites. She volunteers with the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program in her spare time.

www.13BlackCatsDesigns.com Nikki is a freelance artist and illustrator who has illustrated for gift items, cards and puzzles. She works mostly in watercolor and ink but also designs in digital form. She is inspired by many things depending on what catches her eye. Nikki incorporates her illustrations to make beautiful wearable jewelry pieces. She also weaves baskets, beads on a loom and woodworks. Nikki often donates her work and time to S.A.R.A. Inc. a non-profit animal rescue in New Jersey. Several of her pieces have been donated for auction with 100% of the proceeds going directly to the animals they help.


Melissa Arnold Sahetah’s Jewelry www.SahetahsJewelry.com At the age of 24, Melissa Arnold is a live-in caregiver for her grandfather and has been his “Little Nurse” for three years and counting. Opening Sahetah’s Jewelry has allowed Melissa to keep her grandfather company and in good health while she designs vintage and Victorian-style jewelry. She also creates what she calls one-of-a-kind “Feminine Steampunk” designs. Melissa took the imaginative world of Steampunk to create something more enchanting and refined for women. These designs appeal to all those who love the genre as well as sophisticated women who want to step out of this world, and into another.

Rosalba Berardi Piccolo Paradiso™ www.ParadisoProducts.com Rosalba Berardi is the creative founder of Piccolo Paradiso™ the Artisan Luxury Soap Line. Rosalba is from Chicago and was raised with a true appreciation of Italy having spent many summers there growing up. Rosalba has a strong background in photography and Advertising. This foundation in business and creativity continues to be at the heart of all her professional endeavors. Her desire to work creatively led to the art of soap making. What started as a creative passion quickly turned into a prospering new business creating distinctively designed soap & body products. Rosalba is also an accomplished photographer and has published work in National Geographic & Kodak.

Both she and her son have suffered from sensitive skin, which is what led her to begin creating her own bath and body products in 2010. While formulating natural skincare is always the first priority, Kristine loves to exercise her creative spirit by crafting products that are also visually interesting, vibrantly colored, deliciously scented, and beautifully packaged. She has since been Exhibitor of the Week at Top Drawer in London and interviewed by Retail Jeweller, London as a Rising Star and featured in various other publications and websites. Her modern jewelry reflects her love of art and architecture, particularly art deco, playing with geometric shapes in silver, crystal, leather and semi-precious stones, creating timeless pieces for the discerning shopper.

Sandy & Stevie D’Andrea Jewels For Hope www.JewelsForHope.net Sandy D’Andrea created Jewels For Hope after a decade of being a caregiver to her mother who suffered from Parkinson’s disease. Sandy, a free-spirited, loving wife & mother of three girls, is a self-taught jewelry designer who believes that “giving back” is most important. Sandy works with her eldest daughter Stevie, whom Sandy has taught the art of jewelry design. This mother-daughter duo creates unique pieces and donates 10%-50% of the proceeds to eight major organizations. In December 2011, Give Back Brands partnered with Jewels For Hope for an exclusive Someday by Justin Bieber fragrance event with Macy’s, sponsored by People Magazine.


Andie Dietz Java Jane Designs www.JavaJaneDesigns.etsy.com Andie’s elegant handcrafted custom artwork features stunning letters of the alphabet photographed from architectural details. Artfully arranged to spell names and words, her personalized creations are shared with clients around the globe to celebrate life’s biggest moments. She developed her signature photography style through a love of travel and exploration. Dave Dilli Dave Dilli Photography www.DaveDilliPhotography.etsy.com Dave’s photographic journey started when he was in high school and saw the magic of a photograph emerge from a darkroom print. Since then he has been experimenting with his photographic style which has evolved to a unique perspective on the beauty of the desert southwest. Dave strives to capture the essence of what he felt when the image was taken from the softness of a sunset to the dramatic moods created from a desert monsoon storm. He has recently embraced digital photography as a tool that helps as he tries to recreate the mood of the scene. His wife of 20 years and three teenagers are used to Dave getting up in the middle of the night to capture that elusive sunrise light.


Maryann Dolzani I Am Maryann www.IAmMaryann.com As a kid, Maryann was always drawing and taking pictures. She was at such peace when she was creating. That said, time goes on, things happen and we sometimes forget those things that feed our soul. She was listening to a song her husband wrote. In the song some of the lyrics are ‘I am broken... I am healing’. Maryann realized how we all have our ‘I AM’ statements. Some that hold us back and others that keep us present and help us move forward. Holly Freese Expression Rings of Hope www.ExpressionRingsOfHope.com Holly Freese created Expression Rings of Hope after a close friend lost his battle with cancer at the young age of 29. In an effort to raise awareness and funds for cancer research, Holly has used her extraordinary craft to handmake Swarovski Crystal cocktail rings. She hopes to make a difference in a cause that has taken the lives of so many. The Collection will add sparkle to any outfit, is sold all over the world and gives you the opportunity to be a part of her wonderful “Bling For A Cause” as a portion of the proceeds are donated to cancer research.


Alexis Gopal Alexis Studio Design www.AlexisStudioDesign.etsy.com Dr. Alexis Gopal spent over a decade practicing Internal Medicine in New York City and Connecticut, when she decided to take time off to be with her family. In 2006, she became reacquainted with her childhood loves, jewelrymaking and oil painting, and started Alexis Studio Design. She started selling her handmade jewelry, oil paintings, and handmade lampshades, and developed a local following. Alexis enjoys many techniques and materials, and the versatility they afford her. Susan Harbourt Luster Metalworks www.LusterMetalWorks.com Susan Harbourt was an engineer with a repressed artistic spark lurking inside. One fateful day, she and her husband were updating wiring in their Edwardian era home when the scattered coils of old copper wire inspired her. With the scraps at hand, Susan wove a bracelet, igniting an artistic flame that has only continued to grow. Now a self taught metalsmith, Susan primarily works in recycled sterling silver and reclaimed copper creating an array of Eco-friendly rings, necklaces, bracelets, bookmarks, and gifts. Her studio is her paradise. It’s her place to create and let the hammer guide her, magically transforming metal from something you would dismiss as a scrap to amazing works of art.


Holly Hatam TearDrop Paperie www.TearDropPaperie.com Holly Hatam has been an artist since she could first hold a pencil. With diplomas in fine arts and graphic design, she worked as a professional graphic designer before she founded TearDrop in 2004. Holly is devoted to inspire and make people laugh with her custom invitations, stationery and other paper goods. She feels an obligation to help people celebrate life’s little and big events! Holly is inspired by people -- her favorite pastime is to stare and ogle. She looks at people through her artist’s eye and appreciates and illustrates quirky and unique facial features. Gary Hirsch Botjoy www.Botjoy.com Love Bots are small, silent companions that remind the wearer how wonderful they are and why their friends, family, and strangers love them so much. These hand-painted art objects are created by Portland, OR artist Gary Hirsch. Bots can be found in galleries, shops, and on streets throughout the world (Bots are left in public locations around the world as “gifts for random strangers”). Brave Bots are donated to children’s hospitals, soccer teams, and writing programs to help their owners summon courage in the face of uncertain challenges. Gary also runs a 12 person creative consultancy called On Your Feet (www.oyf.com) that uses improv theater to help businesses work better together.


Lauren Hoehn LapisBeach Hand-Knit Wearable Art www.LapisBeach.etsy.com Lauren Hoehn is an artist based in Maryland. Lauren holds an B.A., an M.A. and a PhD but none of her degrees afforded her the luxury of staying home with her twin sons. Lauren is well-versed in drawing and painting but was continually lured back to the knitting that her grandmother taught her before her passing. Her hobby turned into Lapis Beach Jewelry after she started wearing her original knitted designs that were adored by friends, family and strangers on the street. Every piece is hand-strung and hand-knit. Lauren’s pieces have been featured in numerous local magazines, papers and blogs.

Laura Hudson Simply Paperie www.SimplyPaperie.com Laura Hudson is the creative force behind Simply Paperie, founded in 2010. For as long as she can remember Laura has always had a passion for paper and couldn’t be happier for it to have become part of her career. She refined her skills while earning a BFA from the University of Missouri and has been working as a graphic designer ever since. Laura’s handmade creations can be found in shops throughout the country. Her style is greatly inspired by color and pattern, and she continually finds new ways to incorporate this into her work. She has since expanded her business to include stationery, invitations, and all things paper!


Jenny Jafek-Jones The Crimson Poppy www.TheCrimsonPoppy.com Jenny Jafek-Jones, gardener for the crimson poppy, forgets to water her houseplants and considers herself the rightful heir to her mother’s “black thumb”. To compensate, she spends hours tending and trimming ordinary paper until it blooms into delicate petals and leaves. The beauty and attention to detail that hallmarks her extraordinary paper flowers has been recognized in BRIDES, Paper Runway, and Southern Wedding magazines, as well as numerous wedding and paper-related websites. A collaborative book on paper crafts is also in the works. Jafek-Jones resides with her husband, daughter, and eighteen pair of scissors in Stillwater, OK. Her paper flowers enchant recipients around the globe.

Meena Kumar Swirly Garden www.SwirlyGarden.etsy.com Meena Kumar knew her background in business would not feel complete without art and creativity in the mix. In 2010, she opened her online shop Swirly Garden, where her hand-painted glasswares and ceramics continue to sell globally. Being of Korean and Indian descent, her dynamic upbringing sparked her interest in various artistic styles around the world. Christine Lorenzo SariBlue www.SariBlue.com Meet Christine Lorenzo, she is a passionate jewelry maven who adores eclectic craft, not only her own but other artists who are open and devoted. SariBlue is her culmination of exploration into culture, art, life and the love of all things fantastic. With a unique focus on the evil eye her shop was opened this past spring to high praise across cultures. The collection ties together past and present in a distinctive, modern way. Christine’s collection is fun, colorful, each item a great conversation piece, adding an ancient element of protection when worn. She has since watched her bows skip down the aisles on the heads of flower girls, picked up by local stores, and worn by many worldwide. Each bow and headband is hand sewn with love and care, paying particular attention to the desired outcome of each individual customer. In 2012, the Caroline G line will launch a new line of hand-stamped bracelets. Each bracelet will have carry a simple message. Carrie is committed to using her business to give back to worthy causes, and is supported by Molly Mesnick, from the thirteeth season of The Bachelor, for such philanthropic efforts.

A self-taught jewelry artisan, Kath creates unique statement pieces by knitting wire with semi-precious stones, pearls, beads, shells, crystals and lucite components. Her goal is to provide handcrafted designs that enhance the wearer’s own personal sense of style. Many of Kath’s designs are named for family and friends who have been instrumental or supportive of her creative endeavors. Kath supports the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, and has participated in their Advocacy Days in Washington, DC for the last two years.
