Welcome to Bass Performance Hall and our 2022-2023 Performing Arts Fort Worth season. On behalf of the Performing Arts Fort Worth staff and Board of Directors, I thank you for joining us.
I’d like to give a huge thank you to everyone who came and celebrated the return of Disney’s The Lion King with us this January, and to all who made our first ever Sensory Friendly Performance possible. To see all the families and patrons that were impacted by this incredible show was invaluable and we could not have asked for a better way to start this 25th Anniversary year.
There are some stories that no matter how many times you hear them, they just never get old. I think it’s safe to say that in the 33 years since it’s theatrical release, Pretty Woman has solidified itself as one of the most beloved romantic comedies of all time. Tonight, we’re thrilled to take you from the Stock Show and Rodeo to Rodeo Drive, as Garry Marshall’s modern-day classic takes the Bass Hall stage, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
With all the characters you know and love, Pretty Woman: The Musical is the same contemporary fairy tale with all the iconic moments you remember, now featuring an original score by Grammy® winner Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance. I think what I love most about this adaptation is it communicates how important it is to find your voice, and that regardless of what path you choose, what matters is you are the one who chooses it. I hope you fall in love all over again with this dazzling show.
Next up on our Broadway season is a familiar favorite, Annie. Coming to Fort Worth March 28 – April 2 in a new production, this iconic musical reminds us that no matter how gray your day, sunshine is always just around the corner. And before you know it, it’ll be time to announce our 2023-2024 Broadway at the Bass Season presented by PNC Bank . Be on the lookout as we plan to announce in the coming weeks!
Again, thank you to all of our sponsors and donors for their generous contributions and continued support. Now get ready to journey to Hollywood and back as we welcome Pretty Woman: The Musical!

ANGELS IN THE WINGS
Angels in the Wings support the Children’s Education Program of Performing Arts Forth Worth at the Nancy Lee and Perry R. Bass Performance Hall with gifts of $1,000 and above. The Children’s Education Program is an integral part of Bass Performance Hall but maintains its own support independent of Performing Arts Fort Worth. Each year, 70,000 students from Fort Worth ISD and North Texas experience high-quality curriculum-related performing arts programs at Bass Performance Hall that are free of charge to all participants because of the generosity of our Angels in the Wings.
