elcome to Bass Performance Hall and our 20212022 Performing Arts Fort Worth season. On behalf of the Performing Arts Fort Worth staff and Board of Directors, I thank you for joining us. We are so excited that one of Fort Worth’s favorite holiday traditions is returning tonight: Robert Earl Keen’s The Road to Christmas. This eve of New Year’s Eve concert, featuring special guest opener, singer-songwriter Brent Cobb, is sure to have you ready to ring in the new year! We hope you’re ready for an evening of Americana hits and holiday tunes featuring REK’s famous Bluegrass flare. Robert Earl Keen’s The Road To Christmas is part of our 2021-2022 BNSF Popular Entertainment Series. This incredible lineup also includes Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood Live, and The British Invasion. Our 2021-2022 Broadway at the Bass season continues in January with Dear Evan Hansen, followed by the Fort Worth premiere of our season add-on, Hamilton, making its Bass Hall debut after being rescheduled due to the pandemic. The season continues in the summer with Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Oklahoma!, Jesus Christ Superstar and Mean Girls. Please sign up for our e-Club at www.basshall.com or follow us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram to be the first to get all the details about this terrific lineup. Finally, thank you to all of our sponsors and donors for their generous contributions and continued support.

Sincerely,

Dione Kennedy President & CEO Performing Arts Fort Worth

The Road to Christmas

ABOUT ROBERT EARL KEEN A Houston native, Robert Earl Keen has for three decades been regarded as one of the Lone Star State’s finest true singer-songwriters. The first Americana artist to be featured on the Americana Music Chart, Keen was weaned on classic rock and Willie Nelson records. By the time he entered Texas A&M University, he was teaching himself guitar, playing Bluegrass and setting his poetic musings to song. Now with 21 records to his name, a band of stellar musicians, and thousands of shows under his belt, there is no end in sight to the road ahead. In July of 2021, POLLSTAR ranked Keen on its Top 20 Global Concert Tours, proof that he has blazed a peer, critic, and fan-lauded trail that’s earned him living-legend and pioneer status in the Americana music world. REK is a 2018 Texas A&M Distinguished Alumni Award recipient, and a member of Texas Heritage Songwriters’ Hall of Fame and The Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame. He is also a supporter of music education, having raised more than $1,000,000 with his annual benefit concert for the Hill Country Youth Orchestra in Kerrville.

ABOUT BRENT COBB Originally from Georgia, Brent Cobb has released four studio albums and one EP to date. His album “Shine on Rainy Day” earned him a 2018 Grammy Award nomination for Best Americana Album. Brent has worked with a variety of country music artists, writing songs for Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Texas native Miranda Lambert, The Oak Ridge Boys and many others.
