Get ready to celebrate baptisms this summer!
Note from
Pastor Mark & Lora "Throwing Better Parties" might be one of my favorite topics during our Neighboring series—and we'll be throwing several parties of our own this month. Many of our campuses will be celebrating baptisms with cookouts, picnics, and pool parties. If you haven't been baptized yet, I hope you'll consider this important step of faith. And what better way to celebrate this pivotal moment than with a party? More details on page 5.

What’s going on
Deeper Night of Worship Monday, July 9 and August 6 The Miracle Theatre
Second Saturday Serve
Join fellow NCCers from all over DC, MD, and VA as we worship God together and delve deeply into focused prayer.
Saturday, July 14 ncc.re/secondsaturday What keeps you up at night? What injustice, cause, or brokenness propels you to action? Second Saturday Serve is one place to figure that out—a starting point to living life on mission. Every second Saturday, we get together to meet tangible needs in our communities. And now, Second Saturday Serve has a new strategy to make it easier for you to jump in!
Summer Baptisms
We’ve combined a wide variety of serving opportunities by region. We’ll all gather together first thing Saturday morning at a central location —one in DC and one in VA—to get to know each other and pray together, then we’ll head out to the various projects.
July 28 - 29 Aug 19 (Lincoln Theatre)
Join one of several teams to help serve. No long-term commitment is necessary, and all are welcome. See you this Second Saturday!
When we take the step of being baptized, it immerses us into the story of Jesus. We are raised in the power of His resurrection to new life. Baptism is also a time for your church family to celebrate with you—and that's what we're doing this summer with baptism celebrations at each of our campuses.
Second Saturday Serve: DC - Rally and project overview at 9:30 am at Ebenezers Coffeehouse Performance Space.
If you have made a decision to follow Jesus and haven't been baptized yet, we would love to be a part of that step in your faith journey! Just email baptism@ theaterchurch.com. Please see page 5 for more details.
Second Saturday Serve: VA - Meet at 9:00 am outside Regal Cinemas Potomac Yard for a rally and project overview. Sign up at ncc.re/secondsaturday

During this summer's Mission Camp, students experienced many different dimensions of need in our city. They served at local food pantries, foster care agencies, and homeless shelters. They also really displayed their hearts for neighboring as they brought lunches to people experiencing homelessness and shared a meal together on Barracks Row. It was a phenomenal week of growing closer to each other and to the heart of God.
