Join us in Limerick for the 2014 All-Ireland Performing Arts Conference. Whether you’re an individual artist or managing a venue, a performing arts freelancer or working in a funded arts organisation, this year’s conference is about your concerns and our community. It’s time for hard truths, some imaginative thinking but most of all, about creating a platform, where despite and because of our varied interests and experiences, we can come together. The hard questions we’ve been asking and the challenges we’re facing will be answered with some realistic, achievable and visionary possibilities. Bright minds, stories to inspire, delight, provoke and rally you will come from far flung cities and our own back yards. Be ready to interrogate, ignite and bring these possibilities to life. Whether you’re a maker or a shaker, your voice and answers are needed to shape the way ahead.

We’ll be asking questions about The Artist as Entrepreneur, Resource Sharing, Young Philanthropists, The Producer Problem, The Playwright-Director Crossover, Venues Commissioning Performance, If you build it, will they come?, Raving, Playing, Thinking and Changing.

Speakers include

Bryony Kimmings Arts Pool Enda Walsh Mikel Murfi Gina Moxley Dan Colley Annette Nugent Charles Dorfman Ger McNaughton Emma Gladstone Matt Fenton THEATREclub Louise Donlon and more. #APAC14

About the Programme The APAC14 programme, curated by Róise Goan, is designed to bring together and inspire the now disparate and increasingly independent community of theatre and dance professionals North and South. It will provide an engaging agenda, relevant to producers, artists, arts managers, designers, technicians, post-graduate students on all vocational courses and arts management programmes. The topics acknowledge the reality that most people making and managing theatre and dance at early, mid and advanced career levels are facing hard questions. There will be stimulating break-out sessions with opportunities to participate, though the majority of conference time will be spent together. Speakers and delegates will explore bold ideas on where to next as well as deeply practical suggestions in response to the problems and challenges faced by all.

So save the dates. Book your tickets. And join us for APAC14.
