DAVE MCSAVAGE plus support McSavage’s low-key but effective stage manner, gently strumming a guitar as he departs on numerous flights of whimsy, works brilliantly. His laid-back and laconic style provides a nice contrast to the screaming egomaniacs one often encounters at stand-up shows. McSavage has unexpectedly come out of the cold of perpetually being an outsider, and has somehow graduated into Irish comedy's small elite. COMING UP IN 2012 IN THE THEATRE ROYAL Not only do we have a jam packed Autumn season but we are already programming some exciting events for early 2012. Coming to the theatre in January is Neil Delamere who is fast becoming one of the most regular comedians to visit us. The hugely successful Hamlet Review will also be staged again in January. Each year the theatre hosts senior cycle students who get a chance to work with actors experienced in the Shakespearian canon to get a better understanding of his plays as they prepare for their Leaving Cert. Rough Magic will visit with their successful Plaza Suite by Neil Simon and we are pleased to say that both Eddi Reader and Nanci Griffiths will be among the music artists performing with us here in the Spring. A taste of what’s ahead! VOUCHERS Why not give a great night out as a Christmas present to someone you love – our vouchers make an ideal gift!
