Date: Thursday 25th February Time: 8pm Price: €30
Each cock- eyed portrait he paints has a ring of truth that brings audiences to the point of apoplexy. Brendan’s material owes more to the best of the traditional stand-up-comics than it does to modern alternative humour and his show is very much a show for all the family. There is a sincerity about his act that endears you to him, and his off-stage persona is very much a ‘man of the people’ as he makes himself available after each show for a photo and a ‘meet and greet’.

Declan O’Rourke has achieved critical acclaim for his song writing, singing and performance. Jon Pareles of The New York Times said there was virtuosity in his guitar playing, with ‘intricately contrapuntal picking and meticulous dynamics,’ and that his calling was as a balladeer. Paul Weller said of O’Rourke’s song ‘Galileo’ that it’s possibly the greatest song written in the last thirty years. “Declan O’Rourke is one of the rare breed, he arrived fully formed, his songs, and delivery belie his age, and ours. He’s a timeless troubadour with a voice that breaks through all your defences and gets to the heart of the matter. One of the true greats of our island.” Glen Hansard

Wigglegiggle WIGGLEGIGGLE is an energetic, wigglesome, gigglesome mashup of words and rhythms and nifty noises designed to engage children’s imaginations and to enchant their eyes and ears! Inspired by conversations with children themselves, this show takes as a starting point the substantial research around how music and rhythm can develop listening and language skills in this age group. It will excite and intrigue them with what language can do – and what they can do with language. But most of all, WIGGLEGIGGLE promises to delight its audience as it messes around with wonderful words, marvellous music, the silliest of sounds and some very interesting moves!
