Ustinov Studio The UK’s most exciting studio theatre space Theatre Royal Bath’s award-winning Ustinov Studio has established a reputation for producing mid-scale theatre of outstanding quality. Led by Olivier Award winning Artistic Director Laurence Boswell, the Ustinov Studio’s series of UK premieres have attracted enormous critical acclaim, multiple five star reviews, and regular transfers to London venues. In 2012 the Ustinov’s production of In the Next Room won the Theatre Management Association Award for Best New Play. In 2013, Michael Billington, the Guardian’s Chief Theatre Critic, included two Ustinov Productions in his top 10 of the year.

Moominland Midwinter, the egg theatre, 2013


The Egg Theatre World Class Theatre for Children The Egg Theatre is one of the few professional theatre venues in the country entirely dedicated to young people and their families. It has a reputation as an industry leader in the fields of Theatre for Young Audiences and children’s arts education. Over 30,000 people visit the egg each year to watch plays, and a further 24,000 young people participate in the egg’s education and outreach activities. The Egg offers inspiring partnership and sponsorship opportunities, including the chance to connect with thousands of families from across the region.

The Egg programmes over 50 shows every year for audiences aged 0-18. This includes work from the best children’s theatre companies in the UK and Europe. Production sponsorship ranges from £2000 for a three-show package across a season, to £7500 for sponsorship of the egg’s flagship Christmas Production. The Egg’s Christmas Production runs for six weeks. It is the Egg’s largest event, receives national reviews, broad marketing exposure, and is attended by over 6000 people. Production sponsorship includes branding across all Theatre Royal Bath’s production marketing as well as exclusive opportunities for special hospitality or staff events.



Schools Programme The Egg works with hundreds of schools each year to extend the role that the arts play in education. Our Creative Learning team deliver a range of projects that help teaching staff to embed creativity into the curriculum of each school we work with. Sponsorship of the Schools Programme aligns your company with the Egg’s pioneering work in this field, work that has made the Egg a role-model for organisations seeking guidance on cultural education. “Hall and Woodhouse opened in Bath in 2010. Outreach The egg’s mission is to provide opportunities for all young people to participate in the arts and ensure that these experiences are the best they can be. To achieve this the egg works with many partner charities, providing opportunities to those least likely to access the arts. Charities we regularly work with include Mentoring Plus - a charity supporting vulnerable young people in Bath; Bath Area Play Project - a charity helping children with learning disabilities; and Young Carers - supporting children with caring responsibilities.

Young Peoples’ Theatre The egg has developed one of the most dynamic and high quality young people’s theatres in the country. The Young People’s Theatre (YPT) includes acting groups, backstage groups and Urban Arts groups (Dance, Music, New Writing). The YPT regularly stage productions and the shows are marketed like any other professional production at the theatre. Over 180 Young People are involved in any one year.
