“Let’s go out in our car,” says Daddy. “We can all go to the little park to play and have a good time.” 2

Can a dog be green? No, a dog is not green. But a car can be green.

Is a ball red? Yes, a ball can be red, or it can be blue, but their ball at the park was red.

Meg wants the doll or the ball to be blue. She can have fun. â&#x20AC;&#x153;I am good at it,â&#x20AC;? she says.

“Blue is best here,” she says. “Look, my doll has a blue top on with lines. Now she looks like me!”

Tommy wants his dog to be red. “That is good,” says Meg. “But do we see dogs that are all red?”

“No,” says Tommy. “We do not. No red for that dog then! Thank you, Meg, for that help.”

Now the children say they want to go out to the little park for a time of play. They all want to go together.

Meg is out here on the big line. Now Tommy wants to be there too with Meg. Good! “Let’s play together,” they say.

“Your line of cars is good,” says Meg. “Now we can make many lines. Is this good? Do you like my help?”

“Let’s see.” Tommy laughs with her. “No, I do not like that help very much. It is not so good. You are just being funny.”

“Yes,” Meg laughs. “But now I do want to help you. I want my doll or my blue ball to be on top of your green car. The car was in the big line that is now many little lines!” 24

Meg and Tommy like to have happy days together. On this day they can play and laugh and have so much fun together. It makes them happy. It is a good day!

“I like to read God’s Word, the Bible,” says Tommy. “Me too,” says Meg. “And I like to play and make up funny things.”

“But it is not time to go out and play now,” says Tommy. “No,” says Meg. “Now we will read together. We can read the Bible. There are many things for us to do here!” 8

“Look at me!” says Tommy. “Is it funny that I can do this?” Meg laughs. Tommy is being funny. “You are just so much fun, Tommy,” she says. “You make me laugh.” 10

“Come, children,” says Tommy’s sister. “It is time to read the Bible together. The Bible is the Word of God.” “We can make a line,” says Meg. The children like to be with Tommy’s sister. 12

“Will we read out of the green book?” says Tommy. “No, I want to read your blue book or the red book, please,” his little brother says. “They are the books I like best.” 14

“Please help me!” says Meg. “I am up here. Help me come down! My little toy dog was on top. Help, please!” The children want to help, but they are too little. 16

Then Tommy’s daddy comes. He is big. He can help Meg come down. “Thank you so much,” she says. Tommy’s sister says, “Let’s all pray together, and then we will read God’s Word, the Bible.” 18

All the friends sit down together. They pray. Jesus is with them too. Tommy’s sister says, “It is good to pray and to read the Word of God. The Word of God helps us love our family.” 20

“We like to read God’s Word,” the children say. “Let’s see,” says Tommy’s sister. “Let’s read the Bible now. Then we will all go out to the park!” “Good!” the children say. “We like that!” 22

Now all of Tommyâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s family is together. Megâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s mommy sits down. They play some songs. The children like to run about when the songs play. Then they sit down and laugh. It is fun! 24

Now the friends are out with their car. They look up and down, in and out. They do not see the ball. Tommy prays for God to help them. Then he says, “Let’s see. Is the ball with Meg’s doll?” 28
