12th Man Foundation names president and CEO I
rven E. “Skip Wagner was named president and CEO of the 12th Man Foundation Wednesday. For the past eight years, Wagner served as the president and CEO of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo where he worked with 27,000 volunteers and a full-time staff. Wagner was president and general manager of the Oklahoma State Fair from 2000-2003.
“I’m excited for the people I get to work with, Wagner said about the 12th Man Foundation. “There’s no greater group of people anywhere. Wagner said working for the foundation will resemble his work at the Houston rodeo because both are relationship businesses and many of the key aspects of the job will revolve around rebuilding Kyle Field.
Wagner graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1982 with a chemical engineering degree and from Harvard Business School in 1986 with a master’s degree in business administration, but has had ties to Texas A&M for many years. His daughter Allie is Class of 2008 and his son Jack will enroll as a freshman in the Class of 2017. – Staff report

Senators also introduced a bill that, if passed, would request that students who religiously or morally oppose the GLBT Resource Center to not have to pay the portion of student fees that go toward it. The confirmation votes of the five nominees to the SSFAB were unanimous and followed a brief period of questioning. Senators asked nominees how they would side on financial issues related to the University Advancement Fee, including whether nominees support an increase. Nominee and graduate student Diego Garcia said he personally understands how difficult it is to pay off loans and that college is becoming more difficult to afford under the current financial climate. Garcia said while neutral, he understands certain things need to be taken into consideration. When asked which expenditures nominees
