Quarterback Johnny Manziel became the second Heisman winner in A&M history and the first freshman to receive the trophy since the establishment of the award in 1935. Notre Dame senior linebacker Manti Te’o finished second to Manziel, tallying 1,706 points to Manziel’s 2,029.
