Vicky Tsorlinis, who grew up near Danforth and Logan avenues, joined 24 other inspiring Torontonians in accepting a 2017 Volunteer Toronto Legacy Award. "What really stands out about Vicky is her ability and interest in being an active part of her community," said Camara Chambers, VT’s director of community engagement.She said Tsorlinis stood out because of her fundraising efforts: $23,000 for The Ride to Conquer Cancer, $21,000 for the Bayside Rowing Club, l See TSORLINIS, page 11

Scarborough resident Vicky Tsorlinis has recently been awarded a Volunteer Toronto Legacy Award. She has donated hours of her time and raised thousands of dollars for several important causes and organizations, notably Malvern Collegiate Institute’s Home and School Council as well as Emily’s House children’s hospice.
