Area residents are advised to keep a close eye on their pets after a dog and a cat in the Upper Beach area were recently struck with bullets from a BB gun. The incidents occurred near Swanwick Avenue and Enderby Road, which is west of Main Street and south of Gerrard Street East.

Easter Parade. The popular annual event – one of the largest Easter parades in North America –

will be held Sunday, starting at 2 p.m. sharp. Founded in 1967 in honour of Canada’s centennial year, the

A dog named Muneca, who was enclosed in the backyard of a home when hit Saturday, March 28, was struck in the back, but has received medical treatment and is recovering. About three weeks ago, an orange cat across the street was also shot in the back and is doing OK.
