Neighbours of Wildwood Park can hit the books this fall with the arrival of a new Little Free Library Sept. 21. The library is the first project of Friends of Wildwood Park, and will be entirely community run. “You’re kind of building community around sharing resources,” said Michelle Bourdeau, who started the steering committee for Wildwood Park, which comprises of five community members, after moving into the neighbourhood about a year ago.

“It’s something that everyone can partake in,” Bourdeau said. The Wildwood Park Little Library will be the fifth registered in the Beach-Riverdale neighbourhood, and the sixth across Toronto. There are other unregistered libraries in the city, but a map of libraries registered in North America can be found at littlefreelibrary.org “Our ward has the most little libraries in the city,” said Bourdeau, who surveyed about 50 people in the neighbourhood to find out what kinds of projects they wanted in the park. >>>WILDWOOD, page 6
