New Broadview Hotel: have your say The Woodbine-Gerrard Streetcar Developments is inviting the public and stakeholders to help shape the future plans for the landmark structure at the corner of Queen Street East and Broadview Avenue. The Riverside-based development company, which on May 13 announced it acquired the circa-1891, Richardsonian Romanesque-style building, launched a one-question survey asking people what they’d like to see 704 Queen St. E. become. It’s meant to be a feel-
ing project,” said the large-scale mural’s creator Evond Blake, who also goes by the name Mediah. “It’s open for interpretation. Because there’s so much detail, different people see different things.” The piece, which Blake called a “community landmark”, will span the east and west sides of the underpass.
