Bernz De Leon - National Programme Commissioner for Community Base Scouting, Boy Scouts of Philippines, engaged the participants in an interactive manner to communicate information about the Scouts Go Solar Initiative. The objectives/goals and its role in furthering the SDGs was the starting point and moved further with information about various levels of Scouts Go Solar. The activities included games, road shows, exhibitions and developments in the initiative to create awareness about the initiative. The reference materials for the same were shared with the participants who served as a starting point for further awareness creation. Few videos on the efforts undertaken on Scouts Go Solar from across the world were sharedtomotivatetheattendeesandviewers.

The webinar on “Scouts Go Solar” as part of the series of WOSM Initiatives was organized at the national level on 1st March 2022 on Zoom and telecasted live on YouTube channel of The Bharat Scouts and Guides. Shri Kali Prasad Mishra, Vice President BSG India and the State Chief Commissioner, Odisha BSG was the Chief Guest. He encouraged the youth of the webinar to initiate action for a better world. Shri Rajkumar Kaushik, Director, BSG outlined the nature of the series ofwebinarsonWOSMInitiatives.

National Level Webinar on “Scouts of the World Award” under WOSM initiatives programme was organized by the National Headquarters of the Bharat Scouts and Guides on 16th March 2022 via zoom and the same was telecasted live through the ofcial YouTube channel of BSG. Mr. Krishnaswamy R, Executive Director of BSG who highlighted the importance of Scouts of the World Award, mentioned that it is totally based on Community Development. The session covered all the elements of the Scouts of the World Award –Introduction, Fields of Action – Development, Peace and Environment, Components of the SW Award, the SW Award criteria, etc. Information on Special badge Patrimonito was also given. He introduced a special website for the members of the Bharat Scouts and Guides i.e. www.swaindia.co.in to register and start working and uploading the information. A video was then shown showcasing and highlighting the two SW Award Workshops organized by the BharatScoutsandGuidesatKarnatakaandPachmarhi.
