BSG FOUNDATION DAY
The Foundation Day was celebrated at National Headquarters. In the morning at 7 a.m., The Director gave a message through YouTube to all the members of the organisation and appealed to organize SALAM INDIA programme under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration. The Staff of the National Headquarters gathered at NHQ at 09.30. The programme was started with Flag Ceremony. All the staff pinned the Flag Sticker to each other. Later the staff divided in two groups. One Group left to market area and the other group visited the President, Chief National Commissioner and the National Treasurer at their residences under the leadership of the Director.
Mr. and Mrs. Alok Goel, National Treasurer welcomed the delegation and contributed for the Flag Day. Dr. K.K. Khandelwal, Chief National Commissioner contributed Rs.21000/- for the Flag Day and also announced that this celebration will continue till Thinking Day 2022 and assured good fund raising under his leadership.
A delegation of the Bharat Scouts and Guides, National Headquarters headed by Dr. Anil Kumar Jain, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and President, Bharat Scouts and Guides, Dr. K.K. Khandelwal, IAS (Retd.), Chief National Commissioner, Bharat Scouts and Guides who is also the Chairman of HRERA, Gurugram along with Shri Raj Kumar Kaushik, Director, BSG and a Guide Miss. Kangana of Delhi State Bharat Scouts and Guides met Hon,ble President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind on 12th November, 2021 at Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi and presented him BSG Flag Day Sticker in commemoration of 71st Foundation Day of the Bharat Scouts and Guides. The delegation also apprised the Hon’ble President of India about the activities of the Bharat Scouts and Guides undertaken towards the development of youth of the country. Hon’ble President and the Chief National Commissioner, Bharat Scouts and Guides presented a set of three books of Bharat Scouts and Guides i.e. APRO-II, APRO-III & Rules along with request for the dates of President Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger Rally for 2016, 2017 & 2018 to Hon’ble President of India.

BSG – DIGITAL SMART GENERATION, SURF SMART 2.0
The Bharat Scouts and Guides, National Headquarters has organized BSG – DIGITAL SMART GENERATION, SURF SMART 2.0, Workshop from 15thto 16th October, 2021 at 10:00 – 12:00 Noon and 2:00 to 4:00 PM IST. Leader of the course is Ms. Madhu Shree K S, Project Coordinator, BSG – Digital Smart Generation, Surf Smart 2.0. Knowing how to protect yourself online is an essential skill for young people today. The workshop brings the nonformal education curriculum to support young people to connect safely and positively online.
There are 5 main activity (Discover, Connect, Protect, Respect, Imagine) sections and #BE THE CHANGE ONLINE work activity in the curriculum. Within each of the five sections there are 7 activities which are selected to respond to different contexts, ages, learning needs and objectives. Facilitators ensured that the participants complete all the activities in each section. Around 25 members including Rovers, Rangers and Unit Leaders participated and get trained. Workshop conducted for 2 days with interaction and participants enjoyed being trained.

TH40 LEADER TRAINING (G) COURSE

The 40th LT (G) course was conducted at National Training Centre, Pachmarhi from 20th to 26th October, 2021 in which 55 participants from Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Chattisgarh, Delhi, Eastern Railway, Jammu and Kashmir, Kerala, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan, Southern Railway, Sikkim, Tamilnadu, Uttarakh and Uttar Pradesh attended.
The candidates were divided into 07 Patrols (section wise). During integration session do’s and don’t’s were made clear to the candidates as the physical course has taken place at NTC Pachmarhi after a long gap of 19 months.
Second day onwards the course began with B.P.Six at 6:30 hrs followed by Prayer & Flag and input sessions. Outdoor activities such as games demonstration, Guides Own and Roll Call Drill were organized in the evenings.
During the course according to SOT (G) subjects were dealt as input sessions. Also practical sessions to make the candidates clear on the subjects as they are the future leaders of Guide Wing. Counselling was done by the counsellors of concerned patrol members regarding, Personal project. All Faiths Prayer Meeting was conducted on the last day of the course. The course was conducted by Ms. M.N. Machamma, DDGLT with the support of invited staff from Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Uttarakhand and West Bengal.

The course for Leader Trainers (Scout Wing) was held at Bharat Scouts and Guides, National Training Centre, Pachmarhi from 20th to 26th October, 2021. In this course 52 ALTs from India and 03 from Bangladesh Scouts participated.
The course content were designed to accommodate WOSM suggestions for Leader Trainers Training and Scheme of Training of the Bharat Scouts and Guides.

The course preparation were started with candidates in advance and also Pre-course learning materials were shared for advance learning.
The course programme was based on Modern Educational theory of the Adult Learning techniques and Skills of Scouting. Leader Trainers from Gujarat, Central Railway, Tamil Nadu, Delhi and Karnataka were invited to create learning situations to motivate the participants in acquiring knowledge and skills for planning and conduct of Himalaya Wood Badge Courses and specialized courses.
The Course came to an end on 26th Oct, 2021 with lowering of flag and singing National Anthem.

A Special Scouting Cum Adventure Camp was organized for MSB Educational Institutions, Mumbai at National Adventure Institute from 31st October to 04th November, 2021 in which 241 participants from Banswar, Bhopal, Chennai, Godwara, Indore, Kolkata, Kota, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nasik, Pune, Rajkot and Secunderabad attended.
MSB Educational Institutions are a chain of schools spread all over India with its Head Office at Mumbai. The society wants to introduce Scouting and Guiding as part of their school programme initiatives to contribute to social development of youth.
The course programme was designed with Scout activities of Pioneering, Shelter making, Map reading, Compass (Treasure Hunt), Backwoods cooking, B.P. Six exercise and Adventure activities, Obstacles, Zip line, Sky Cycling, Rock Climbing, Hike and Night Trekking. Facilities for religious observances of the students and escorting teachers were taken care of Campfire and daily report were managed by the escorting teachers and MSB volunteers.
Parasailing and Water Activities were also organized in collaboration with local agencies by MSB Team. The Scouting / Guiding activities were organized by Deputy Director (S) LT/ Deputy Director (G) LT and adventure programmes were organized by Adventure Prorgamme Officer and team of volunteers including in-charge trained Guides from MP Eco Tourism.

The 6th National Adventure Programme was conducted at National Adventure Institute, Snow View Kurseong, Darjeeling from 8th to 12th November, 2021 in which 133 Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and West Bengal State participated. Smt. Surekha Shrivastava, Dy. Director, NAI with the assistance of Mr. Vivek Kumar Das, Jr. Instructor alongwith five invited staff from Eastern Railway and Norhtern Railway.
During the programme, participants visited different places like HMI Darjeeling – There they did activities such as Obstacles Crossings, visited a zoo and historical museum which describes the life of a mountaineer and their belongings who made history. Trek to Eagle Crag, Dow Hill forest.

All the participants attending enjoyed competition 1) cooking (back woodsman cooking) and 2) sense games. Winner of the competition was announced in the camp fire and gift was distributed by the chief guest- Shri Manav Roy, Sub- Inspector, Kurseong Police Station in the grand camp fire. Shri Jogendra Prasad, State Commissioner ©, West Bengal was also present to give his blessings. Colorful programme was presented by the different districts of Chhattisgarh and other states.

Eastern Railway Bharat scouts & Guides Asansol district Celebrated Foundation day on 07th November 2021. On the occasion of Foundation day a blood donation camp was organised at District Training Park, Asansol. Shri Permanand Sharma, District President & DRM, Asansol inaugurated the blood donation camp. Shri Permanand Sharma, District President, Shri Mukesh Kumar Meena District Chief Commissioner & Smt. Alka Meena, District Commissioner Guide were the first three donors who donated blood in the camp. 51 units of blood was collected & handed over to State Hospital. The Foundation /Flag day of Bharat Scouts and Guides was celebrated with full enthusiasm and fervour all over the State.
A delegation of District Ambala Scout Association presented Flag sticker to the Honourable Education Minister Shri Kanwar Pal, who released the flag stickers to be distributed to the members of the scout guide movement. He conveyed his best wishes on this occasion and also stressed the need to promote and strengthen scouting activities at grassroot level.
SALAM India cycle rally was also organised to mark the day by the Scouts of S A Jain Senior Secondary School, Ambala city. Shri Vikram Singh IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Ambala flagged off the rally. In his presidential address, he appreciated the services carried out by the Scouts and Guides specially
during the covid-19 pandemic toward the community. He exhorted that “through Scouting we can channelise the energy of the youth towards Nation building activities,so as to enable them to be responsible citizens of the country. Scout Movement can play a vital role to promote National integration, Awareness on drug abuses, Jal hi Jiwan hai and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan etc.

Jammu and Kashmir State Bharat Scouts and Guides, Jammu, celebrated Foundation Day/Flag Day at SHQ Gandhi Nagar, Jammu and Reasi on 7th
November, 2021in which 80 Scouts/Guides, Scouters/Guiders of various institutions participated. Shri I.D. Soni, Former State Commissioner was the Chief Guest. Principal Sri Guru Gobind Singh H.S. Kunjwani Jammu, Mtr. Nasreen Khan, State Secretary cum Administrative Officer, Shri M.M. Joshi, State Commissioner, Adult Resource(S), Smt. Prabha Jain, Former Joint State Commissioner (Guides), Dr. Renu Nanda, State Commissioner Ranger, Shri H.L. Dogra, State Treasurer were the Guests of Honour on this auspicious occasion.
“Dr SRI RAM MEMORIAL AWARDS” were given away to the year’s Best Scout Masters/Guide Captains. Smt Uma Jamwal, Shri Mudasir Ahmad Khan, Shri Satish Chadha and Miss Krishna were the recipients of the award. Principal Guru Gobind Singh School and Principal Anand Vidhya Kendra, Jammu were also honoured with Thanks Badge by the chief guest for their kind timely support to this noble movement.
The Chief Guest, and other Guests blessed the Scouts and Guides and appreciated the steps being taken by this movement to spread the message of this noble movement to every corner of the State. He felt highly impressed that this movement is trying to cultivate basic values such as commitment, conviction, character, courtesy and cheerfulness in the right earnestness in the Scouts & Guides which is the need of the hour.

Electoral Officer and Vice President of the Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and released the BSG Flags. The Award Ceremony for the qualified Rajya Puraskar Scouts/Guides/Rovers/Rangers was held. The Rajya Puraskar certificates were presented to 20 Guides, 7 Rangers, 6 Scouts and 3 Rovers which was followed by the presentation of Meritorious Awards and Achievements to Adult Leaders by Shri F.R. 1st Virtual Basic Training Course for Guide Captains and Ranger Leaders was organized by Eastern Railway Bharat Scouts and Guides from 30th October to 02nd November 2021 under the leadership of Smt. Champa Nag, SOC (G). The course was officially inaugurated by Dr. Anupam Sett, State Secretary on 30th October 2021. Smt. Darshana Pawaskar, Joint Director of Guides (Programme & Training) and Mr. Bablu Goswami, Assistant Director of Eastern Region graced the gathering and blessed the participants. Various theoretical and practical sessions according to the self-learning and residential modules were taken by the exceptionally trained staff members. These courses were conducted under the supervision of Smt. Papiya Bhattacharjee, STC (G).
35 Scouts/Guides/Rovers/Rangers/Leaders participated in one-day cleanliness drive on 10 October at Shiv Mandir, Railway New Colony. The members of Shivaji Open Group, Indira Gandhi Open Group and Mother Teresa Open Group participated. They Cleaned the Temple Premises, Arranged the Bricks. This cleanliness drive was successfully completed under the guidance of District Commissioner (Scout) cum Senior Divisional Personnel Officer, Danapur Shri Surjit Singh in the presence of Manoj Kumar, Vijayaradhana and Komal Kumari.

The Mega Blood Donation Camp “Jiban Bindu” is one in the series of blood donation. Keeping in view the demand of blood during the pandemic and Dengue, this initiation has been taken. Under our banner we are able to collect more than five thousand units of blood.

Basic Training Course for Guide Captains was organised at State Headquarters from 28th to 30th October, 2021 in which 28 Guide Captains participated from different districts of the state. Basic Training Course has been conducted for Scout Masters from 25 to 27th October, 2021 at State Headquarter premises in which 32 Scout Masters participated from different districts of the state. Another Basic Training Course for Scout Masters at State Headquarter premises was held from 28th to 30th October, 2021 in which 47 Scout Masters participated from different districts of the state. COVID 19 Awareness season-2 was organized by Odisha State Bharat Scouts & Guides in all districts. Around 1445 uniformed members have joined in this door to door campaigns and also distributed handmade masks, soaps, dry foods, cooked foods, leaflets on safety rules about healthy mind and also safety measure for CORONA Virus (COVID-19) by Scouts /Guides /Rovers /Rangers and Adult Leaders in different districts of Odisha. They also demonstrated the ideal way of handwashing in public areas for awarness.

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was organized by Odisha State Bharat Scouts & Guides during October in Rural areas, Roads, Public Places etc. All the participants actively done cleaning work, creating awareness how to clean & also demonstrated uses of Dustbins in their locality. More than 1290 Scouts, Guides round the states. Some of the Guides watered the plants and also planted trees at each corner of districts.
MEGHALAYA
Rajya Puraskar Testing Camp was conducted at State Headquarters from the 26th to 28thOctober 2021 in which 36 Scouts, Guides, Rovers and Rangers participated. The Leader of the course for Guide Wing was Ms. C. Nongkseh, STC (G) who was assisted by Mrs. Metilda Lygdoh, Ms. Dashimti Kharkongor, ASOC(G), Ms. BanyllaSwer, SSA, Ms. Shimtilang Kharbuli State Programme Coordinator. The Leader of the Course for Scout Wing was Shri B. M. Myrthong who was assisted by Shri Panbor Nongkynrih Computer Operator, and Shri Khrawkupar R. Iawphniaw, Staff of SHQ.
The Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides inducted Shri Satya Pal Malik, Honourable Governor as the Chief Patron, at a function held at Darbar Hall Raj Bhavan, Shillong on 29th October, 2021.The Chief Patron was inducted by Shri Aidor Ryngksai, STC Scout in which the Chief Patron made the solemn Scout Promise. The Chief Patron was presented a Scarf by Shri W. Lyngdoh, State Secretary and the Medallion by Shri D. P. Wahlang, IAS, State Chief Commissioner.

Fit India Run was conducted by the Scouts and Guides of Vidhya Bhavan Unit, Dimapur on 15th October 2021 in which 17 participants attended. Wokha District Bharat Scouts and Guides conducted Cleanliness Drive in the Town Area and offices under the Clean India Project Programme on 30th October 2021. Pledge was taken by Vidhya Bhawan School Unit, Wokha District and Scouts and Guides of Kohima on the occasion of Unity Day on 30th October 2021.
Nagaland State Bharat Scouts and Guides collaborated with NYKS and NSS organised a programme to culminate the Clean India project on 30th October 2021. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Kohima, Smt. N. Bhawani Sri, flagged off the programme.
NORTHEAST FRONTIER RAILWAY
Bharat Scouts and Guides, Northeast Frontier Railway, Tinsukia District Association along with Railway Administration of Tinsukia Division observed Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) on 31-10-2021 to commemorate the 146thBirth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Run for Unity was organized from DRM/TSK's Office Building Complex to Dehing Club where DRM/TSK, Branch Officers of the Division along with 55 members of Tinsukia District Association took part.

presence of officials and all Railway Staff of Mariani. 38 members including Scouts /Guides/Rovers/Rangers and Unit Leaders took part in the programme.
On the occasion of National Unity Day (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas), Scouts of Sardar Patel Open Troop participated in "RUN FOR UNITY MARATHON" with 28 Scouts in 8km Marathon from Dist. Scout Hut to Borpara Sahid Bedi via Mahabirasthan, Bir- Chilaray fly Over, Mayapuri and Station Road.
WEST BENGAL
The First District Air Scout and Guide Camp of Alipurduar District Association of West Bengal State Bharat Scouts and Guides was held at Sankar Nepali High School (HS), Dima T.E. Kalchini Alipurduar, West Bengal From 30thOctober to 01stNovember, 2021. The camp was organized by Air Marshal Subroto Mukherjee Open Unit, Air Wing Scouts and Guides Group Dima T.E, Alipurduar District Association, West Bengal. Session/Training on Vital self defence methods and Fitness (Martial Arts), Fire Safety Lecture and mock up drills for prevention of fire at domestic level, History of Scouting/Guiding, Definition, purpose, principles and methods of the Bharat Scouts and Guides, Rifle Shooting ( Air Gun), Rope Activities and History of Flying were dealt by the experts of the subjects from various organisations. Mr. Lalendra Ratnakar, Deputy Commandant, 53 Bn SSB, Simlabari Falakata was the Chief Guest of the camp. 161 participants from different institution/districts participated.

On the inspiration call of the Bharat Scouts and Guides National Headquarters, 30 Rovers and Rangers of Sidhu Kanhu Open Group of Malda District organised cleaning drive at Ganga Bihari Park under BSG Clean India Project. They cleaned Park area collected the plastic and disposed the garbage in Municiple Dustbin. Cleaning drive was conducted under the leadership of Shri Binay Ram.
