President’s Message lans’k

TheInternationalDayofPeacewasobservedalloverthe world. The scout movement being pioneers in the field of creating a better world by educating young people as contributingcitizensmadeexemplarycontributions.

In 2007 while the movement celebrated its centenary, ‘Gift for Peace’ initiatives were taken. Our youth took many projects which brought peace in their local communities through, education, health, sanitisation andgenderequalityprograms.TheMessengersofPeace since 2010 made significant contributions to make the worldabetterplaceforourfuturegenerations.

The Sustainable Development Goals and world scouting initiated programs named Scout Go Solar, Earth Tribe etc. are leading to a better environment. Our own experience in Plastic Tide Turners, Beach Cleaning etc. created mass awareness of ill effects of single use plastics and importance for preserving water resources. "Namami Gange" initiative of our government is a missiontopreserveallwaterbodiesaroundthecountry. I hope that we as a progressive educational movement willdoourbest.

18th National Jamboree is being hosted by Rajasthan State Association in January, 2023. I am glad that the state is making every effort to make this event historic. Rajasthan is known for his hospitality, culture, valour and rich heritage. I wish that all state associations will take full advantage of this opportunity to celebrate "AzadiKaAmritMahotsav"intruesense.

With best wishes for Durga Pooja and Vijaya Dashmi to allofyou.
