Gary Braden is the owner and president of Braden’s Lifestyle Furniture, a 2nd generation and over 43-year veteran of Braden’s Furniture that was started by his parents, McKinley and Mildred Braden, in 1956. He took the helm of the business in 1976. Gary was the youngest President of the National Wholesale Furniture Association and the Braden’s have also served as a members of the Association of Furniture Distributors. The family tradition continues today with his son, Nick Braden serving as Vice President, a 3rd generation of excellence for Braden’s Lifestyle Furniture. For over 63 years, the Braden’s family and team have developed a reputation of service to projects, customers and the community. They continue to put customers first by offering collections and services that not only meet project needs, they exceed expectations. Caryonah Hunting Lodge is the “Oldest and Largest in the Southeast” and proudly also one of the “Oldest Family Owned Hunting Lodges in America.” Located in an ideal hunting location of the Cumberland Mountains, the several thousand acres of finest hunting territory also hosts a breathtaking lodging facility. “Our new cabin and remodel of 60 year old lodge would not be what they are today without Braden’s guidance and attention to detail,” Caryonah Hunting Lodge Owner, “They were there every step of the way from design to delivery.” Located in the Nantahala National Forest, Tapoco is situated on 120 acres offering guests a sanctuary experience with riverside dining, evening fire pits, and beautiful places of rest. raden’s Lifestyle is a full-service design, planning and supply vendor for all aspects of commercial and hospitality project needs. Our wide range of project types include commercial, education, medical, residential, retail, churches, lodging and residential.
Braden’s Furniture was founded by McKinley & Mildred Braden on May 1, 1956, in Knoxville, Tennessee. Functioning until 1992 as a true wholesale furniture distributor, operating a designer showroom in downtown Knoxville and a traveling sales business in seven states selling smaller independent retail furniture stores.
Nick Braden, son of Gary, joined the business full time in 2002. In addition to serving as Vice President, Nick created services like Braden’s Home Staging to advance the design and home decor services of Braden’s Lifestyle. His leadership continues to advance the company within the community and world outreach programs implemented in expression of the Braden’s dedication to service.
Gary Braden, son of the founders took the helm of the company in 1976 exploring growth opportunities that included purchasing Fowlers Brothers Furniture Co. of Knoxville, opening Knoxville’s largest furniture store at 110,000 square feet and creating many successful divisions of the company in retail, wholesale and manufacturing. Gary continues to serve as President with a heart of service to his team, customers and community.
