OPEN HOUSE 2019


Head of School Ron Kim Mr. Ron Kim joined Bishop’s as head of school in 2019, bringing a wealth of experience in school leadership, student-centered pedagogy and inclusive education principles to The Bishop’s School. For the 2018-2019 school year, he served as the interim assistant head of school at The Buckley School. Prior to Buckley, Mr. Kim was the head of school at BASIS Independent McLean (Virginia) and spent 23 years at Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, New Hampshire, where he held various administrative and teaching roles during his distinguished career; the most recent were assistant principal, dean of faculty, history instructor and girls’ varsity basketball coach. Mr. Kim grew up in Southern California and earned a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of California, Berkeley and a master’s degree in history from the University of Chicago.

Student Body President Noah Lin ‘20 Associated Student Body President (ASBC) President Noah Lin ’20 came to The Bishop’s School in seventh grade. In addition to serving as ASBC president, Noah is co-president of the Chinese Club and will serve as team captain for the Knights Volleyball team this season. Noah plays club beach volleyball, loves the ocean and is an avid surfer when he is not busy working at a pediatric dental and orthodontic office and serving as a small group leader for elementary age children in his church. In his spare time, he enjoys photo editing and graphic design as well as playing the ukulele. Some of Noah’s favorite classes at Bishop’s include Asian American Literature, AP Economics and Advanced Honors Physics. He shares that he has “loved all of his classes at Bishop’s and learned so much from each one.”

Athletes in Action 1 p.m. Athletes in Action

Hunte Fields

Experience what sets Bishop’s Athletics apart and why 85 percent of our students participate in athletics. Following Bishop’s Open House, Athletes in Action is an optional and active meet and greet for prospective students to get to know Bishop’s coaches and current students.
