We would like to thank everyone who has supported our past sales. Without you, these events wouldn't be possible! With each new year, we work towards our goals of high fertility, growth, docility, and structural integrity. To accomplish these goals, we use sires that will complement or enhance the genetics of our cows. The animals we are offering this year are out of sires that we have come to love. We again have offspring of 3CC Domain A163, WFL Merlin 018A and Bieber Brave E573. We have continued to be impressed by these sire groups and are glad we have used them for multiple years. We also have a few bulls that are the product of older genetics, including Silveiras Mission Nexus 1378, Red Brylor Big Rock 85T and VAR Discovery 2240. Along with a great group of yearling bulls, we are offering a handful of age-advantage bulls. Whether you are looking for calving ease, growth, or carcass traits, there is sure to be one - out of the 32 bulls we are selling - that is right for your operation. We are also offering 11 females that will be great maternal additions to your herds.
In September 2022, I accepted a new job. I am now working on a local farm operation that runs 180 cows, raises numerous steers, and has a custom cropping division. This change allows me to be at home more throughout the year. Aaron remains at Cemstone during the warm seasons and, this winter, also started hauling milk. Lindsay will be graduating in May from Chippewa Valley Technical College with an Associate Degree in Animal Science Management. After graduation, she'll begin working full time at Mondovi Veterinary Service. She has also started her own venture of a farrow-to-finish swine program, with a goal to market all-natural, antibiotic free pork through Niman Ranch. Denise continues to be the backbone of this family operation, and I cannot thank her enough for her continued support.
With all that said, welcome to our Sixth Annual Bull and Female Sale. Here is what is being offered this year: 33 Badger Creek Red Angus animals, 22 from Sandbox Farms, 8 from Duch Cattle Company, 2 KW Cattle animals, 4 from KFA Simmentals, and 43 Larson's Full Deck Genetics animals. There will also be a few genetic packages available, both semen and embryos. Whatever your animal needs may be, we are confident that we have the right ones for you that will make great additions to your herd. Once again, we thank you for showing an interest in our program. We invite you to join us the afternoon of Friday, March 3 to view the cattle during the day and enjoy food and refreshments in the evening. Sale day is Saturday, March 4. In case you are unable to attend, the sale will be broadcast on DV Auction (www.dvauction.com). Please feel free to call any of the consignors to discuss the 2023 Royal Flush offering. We appreciate and look forward to seeing all of you.

Thank you to Larson's Full Deck Genetics and the other consignors for continuing this great annual sale. At Badger Creek Red Angus, we like to focus on balanced EPDs from birth to yearling. We are always looking for good disposition, mothering ability and growth. This year, we have been getting some great calves out of Beckton Likable H409. We will have four bred heifers with this sire at the sale, as well as semen available.
We have been raising cattle for around 25 years now on our family farm but first became interested in registered Red Angus in 2007, because of the disposition and maternal ability of these cattle.
It's a family affair at Badger Creek, with my wife, Vicki, son, Brandon, and three daughters all helping on the farm at various times. As the family is growing - we have two granddaughters and three grandsons - so, too, are our farming operations and our list of valued customers. Thank you all for your support.

Thank you for showing interest in the Royal Flush sale offering this year. On behalf of Royal Flush and its consignors, we are excited to offer you the best genetics and herd sire prospects from our operations. We are constantly pushing ourselves to produce cattle that will perform in all environments and add value to your next calf crop.
This year's offering of bulls is no exception, with more genetics that we stand behind and phenotype that speaks for itself. This set of bulls brings more mass, foot size, power - all in all, more pounds. Each and every bull offered has an exceptional set of feet and legs under him, making them more durable and providing the longevity that everyone is looking for. These bulls are real world cattle. They come from a working environment and are not pampered. If they cannot perform to the standard that we expect from our bulls, they are pulled from the offering.
With operating approximately 1000 acres of pasture, rotating bulls and keeping up with the groups of females, we demand a lot of our own herd sires. Our operation drives us to continue making top-of-the-line Simmental, Red Angus and show cattle alike. We are striving to make elite females, powerful bulls, and high-functioning production cattle that fit this lifestyle.
We look forward to discussing this year's Royal Flush offering and hope to see you there on March 4.
Thank you for your interest in the 2023 edition of the Royal Flush Bull and Female Sale. We are absolutely honored to be part of this great cattle event. Duch Cattle Company is a family owned and operated cow/calf program near New London, Wisconsin. Our operation focuses on Red Angus, Simmental, and commercial cattle. We pride ourselves on our maternally bred cow base that allows us to go any direction with our breeding program. Structure and balance are the cornerstones for our breeding decisions. Each year we hope to create cattle that will work for our customers in all settings from the pasture, to the feed yard, to the show ring. Please feel free to give us a call with any questions you may have.

EXPECTED PROGENY DIFFERENCES (EPDs) are the most accurate and effective tool available for comparing genetic levels. In using EPDs, the difference between two animals' EPDs represents the unit difference expected in the performance of their progeny. For example, if Sires A and B have EPDs of +10 and -5, a 15-unit difference would be expected in the performance of their progeny. The key to using EPDs is knowing what units they are expressed in. If the example above referred to Weaning Weight EPDs, Sire A would be expected to sire 15 pounds more weaning weight than Sire B, on average. If Calving Ease were the trait, Sire A would be expected to sire 15 percent more unassisted births in first-calf heifers. The PERCENTILE RANK of an EPD (or index) indicates how that EPD ranks relative to other animals in the breed.
Though EPDs allow for the comparison of genetic levels for many economically important traits, they provide only a piece of the genetic puzzle. That's where INDEXES come in. Through well-conceived and rigorous mathematical computation, indexes blend EPDs and economics to estimate an animal's overall impact on your bottom line.
ProS: Profitability and Sustainability is an all purpose index that predicts average economic differences in all segments in the beef supply chain. This index is a combination of the breeding objectives modeled in the HerdBuilder and GridMaster selection indexes. In this index, replacement heifers are retained from within the herd and all remaining progeny are fed out to slaughter and sold on a quality-based grid. Traits included in ProS include calving ease, growth, HPG, Stay, Mature Weight, Dry Matter Intake and carcass traits. The resulting index is expressed in dollars per head born.
HB: HerdBuilder is a maternal selection index that predicts the economic differences of animals for traits that are important from conception through weaning. Expressed as dollars per head born, HB is calculated based on the scenario that bulls are mated to heifers and cows, replacement heifers are retained and all remaining progeny are marketed at weaning. Traits included in the HB index include Calving Ease Direct, Calving Ease Maternal, Weaning Weight, Milk, Mature Weight, Heifer Pregnancy and Stayability.
RedCalving Ease Direct (CED): Predicts the differences in the percent of calves born unassisted out of two-year-old dams.
Birth Weight (BW): Predicts differences in actual birth weight of progeny.
Weaning Weight (WW): Predicts differences in 205-day weaning weight.
Yearling Weight (YW): Predicts differences in 365-day yearling weight.
Average Daily Gain (ADG): Predicts differences in weight gain between 205 and 365 days of age.
Dry Matter Intake (DMI): Predicts differences in daily feed intake as measured in a feedlot during the post-weaning period.
Milk (Milk): Predicts differences in weaning weight attributed to the milking ability of the animal's daughters.
Calving Ease Maternal (CEM): Predicts differences in the percent of
GM: GridMaster is a selection index that predicts the average economic difference of non-replacement calves through the postweaning phase of production. GM places selection pressure on growth, feedyard performance and carcass traits. Expressed as dollars per head born, GM is calculated based on the scenario that progeny are fed out to slaughter and marketed on a quality-based carcass grid. Traits included in GM are Average Daily Gain, Carcass Weight, Dry Matter Intake, Marbling, Back Fat and Rib Eye Area.
daughters who are able to calve unassisted as two-year-old heifers. Stayability (Stay): Predicts differences in the ability of an animals' retained daughters to remain productive in the herd - calve every yearthrough six years of age.
Marbling (Marb): Predicts differences in marbling score - amount of intramuscular fat measured at the 13th rib.
Yield Grade (YG): Predicts the differences in USDA Yield Grade, which is calculated using CW, REA and BF.
Carcass Weight (CW): Predicts differences in actual hot carcass weight. Ribeye Area (REA): Predicts differences in square inches of ribeye area measured at the 13th rib.
Back Fat (Fat): Predicts differences in the depth of backfat measured between the 12th and 13th ribs.
$API: All-Purpose Index evaluates sires for use on the entire cow herd (bred to both Angus first-calf heifers and mature cows) with a portion of their daughters required to maintain herd size retained and the rest of the remaining offspring put on feed and sold grade and yield. Expressed as dollars per cow exposed under and all-purpose sire scenario.
Calving Ease (CE): Percent of unassisted births when used on heifers.
Birth Weight (BW): Pounds of birth weight.
Weaning Weight (WW): Pounds of weaning weight at 205 days of age.
Yearling Weight (YW): Pounds of yearling weight at 365 days of age.
Average Daily Gain (ADG): Pounds of daily gain between 205 days and 365 days of age.
Maternal Calving Ease (MCE): Percent of unassisted births in firstcalving daughters.
Milk (Milk): Pounds of weaning weight due to milk.
$TI: Terminal Index evaluates sires for use on mature Angus cows with all offspring put on feed and sold grade and yield. Expressed as dollars per cow exposed under a terminal sire scenario.
Maternal Weaning Weight (MWW): Pounds of weaning weight due to milk and growth.
Stayability (Stay): Percent of daughters remaining productive in the cow herd at six years of age.
Marbling (Marb): Marbling score as measured at the 13th rib.
Yield Grade (YG): USDA Yield Grade score.
Carcass Weight (CW): Pounds of hot carcass weight.
Ribeye Area (REA): Square inches of ribeye as measured at the 13th rib. Back Fat (BF): Inches of backfat as measured between the 12th and 13th ribs.

With over twenty years of bull development experience, I strive to raise bulls that are turn-out ready. All of these bulls are able to grow and develop on a total mixed ration that is designed for optimal growth, while providing them with necessary vitamins and minerals that are needed in aiding fertility. Along with a good diet, they are able to get necessary exercise on a few acres of land. This allows them to develop the stamina that is needed when covering cows on pasture.

TWO SONS OF DAMAR
Following the 2021 bull sale, we set out to find an outcross sire that would maintain the overall look we desire. X-Factor creates offspring with more overall mass and structural integrity, along with adding some breed-leading EPDs, to make bulls with excellent calving ease and big growth numbers. From birth to a most impressive weaning weight and all the way up to sale day, these sons continue to grow and impress us. We're confident they'll do the same for you.

Every great sire should be able to produce great sons. We feel that this bull is exactly that. This bull gets me excited for the Simmental breed! His dam is a red purebred first calf heifer that just earned herself a spot in our donor battery. If you are looking to produce elite seedstock, this son of the now deceased JSUL Something About Mary deserves a look.

As we continue to strive to offer the hottest genetics to our customers, we decided that we need to offer something from the most recent IVF cycle on our up-and-coming Simmental donor. Sandbox Step Up To Something, aka Karen, is a daughter of our top-producing Simmental donor, Darlene of CCCC. A full sister, Sandbox Something About A Two Step, has already had a successful run in the show ring and is just getting started. This mating to Double Up has us excited about what we can offer you - both now and in the future.
Selling three IVF non-sorted embryos, guaranteeing one 60-day pregnancy if ET work is performed by a certified embryologist.

SANDBOX MR BIG ROCKER continues to be our year-round Red Angus herd sire, covering both the spring and fall cows. He was the Champion Red Angus Bull at the 2021 World Beef Expo, as a yearling straight off pasture. We have strictly offered his genetics on Royal Flush sales, from frozen lots to now offering his first set of yearling bulls to go on and become your next herd sires. Sons sell as Lots 23-25.

Many of the bulls and heifers offered in past sales have come from DAMAR DIRECTOR D552. He has gone on to a new herd after the 2021 Royal Flush Sale. 'Mr. Dirty D' was our #1 pick of the bulls from the Damar Farms dispersal and brought us many females that have had successful production lines along with class and breed champions in the show ring. The calves that have come out of Director have hit the ground running, with very few assisted calvings and high vigor once they were born. We rarely waited more than 15 minutes for them to be standing and nursing.
