Horoscope Fireworks, which have been enjoyed since ancient times, symbolise our continued fascination with the effects of fire. After all, despite central heating and electricity, we light candles to create a relaxing ambience. Streaming platforms even offer videos of fireplaces for aesthetics! As the Lunar Eclipse encourages dramatic change this week, although there’s beauty in the new, some aspects of the past are worth preserving. They can help create an inspiring atmosphere that enables progress.

Some events have a sense of history about them. Even when you’re caught in the midst of them, you ‘know’ they’re going to have an effect on the rest of your life. Others, conversely, might turn out to be equally momentous, but you hardly notice them at the time; it’s only later that you realise the profundity of their effects. You’ve been on a significant journey recently. It may be a while before you can assimilate the enormity of all you’ve experienced, and of what you’ve learned. But this week’s Lunar Eclipse brings you a glimpse. A brilliant offer... completely free audio and video forecasts. Go to ozfree.cainer.com

PISCES (Feb 20 - Mar20)

The search for meaning can take us as deep as the bottom of the ocean, or as high as the Himalayas. Yet, more often than not, the answers we seek are within touching distance. At first glance, the statues on Easter Island appear to be heads sitting on the ground. It’s only on close investigation that we realise that over time, their bodies have been buried by the soil. You’re on a quest for something precious. The Lunar Eclipse enables you to see that you have all the right tools. You just need to start digging in the right place. GEMINI (May 22 - Jun 22)

Unless you’re reading this in front of a mirror, or with a friend, it’s impossible to know if you’ve got a mark on your cheek right now. Interestingly many people don’t like it when their friends act as a mirror. We don’t like having things pointed out to us. Neither do we see the mirror as being particularly friendly when we look into it and see something we don’t like! This week, under the influence of the Lunar Eclipse, you’ll be presented with a very valid and valuable impression. Hopefully, you’ll have the courage to learn from it. VIRGO (Aug 24 - Sept 23)

When we teach ourselves to like someone (or something) we take pride and pleasure in our appreciation. Our acquired taste gives us greater satisfaction every time we indulge in it. Since you’re not particularly enjoying an experience right now, it’s understandable that you’re keen to make sure you don’t have to repeat it. The last thing you want me to say is, ‘I wonder if you could ever develop a tolerance, even an enthusiasm for this?’ But I’m saying it for reasons you’ll soon understand. This experience can lead to great success. Especially for you... completely free audio and video forecasts. Go to ozfree.cainer.com

SAGITTARIUS (Nov 23 - Dec 21)

You’ve made courageous choices recently. And with the Lunar Eclipse, you’re in the process of making more. To some degree, circumstances led you to make certain bold decisions. Given the situation you faced, how could you have reached any other conclusion? But you could have done. You could have opted out. Or chosen an easier (less challenging) option. Or accepted a compromise that might have left you very compromised. Instead, you’ve done what you felt was right. This week, it will prove to be very right indeed. ARIES (Mar 21 - Apr 20)

The Lunar Eclipse encourages you to embark on a new adventure. You’ve come a long way on the good ship Aries. You’ve visited some fascinating ports and made several promising expeditions into uncharted territories. You’ve opened up some encouraging avenues of trade in far-flung places too. But lately, there’s a sense that you’ve been stuck somewhere for too long. The good news is that it’s about to be time to set off exploring again. This week brings an opportunity to work out what you want to get from your next escapade. Oscar’s gift... completely free audio and video forecasts. Go to ozfree.cainer.com

CANCER (Jun 23 - Jul 23)

There are times when we have to pull the wool over our own eyes. We need to tell ourselves that we’re doing something, when we’re doing something else. This enables us to break away from established thought patterns. If we didn’t do it, our inner urges and deeper needs wouldn’t get a look in and we’d end up with bottled-up emotions and repressed desires. Which is, of course, not a healthy (or happy) way to live. Under the Lunar Eclipse, trust that your heart knows what your mind hasn’t yet grasped... and follow it! There’s more... completely free audio and video forecasts. Go to ozfree.cainer.com

LIBRA (Sept24 - Oct23)

If you want to see yourself as other people see you, there’s no point looking in a mirror. That only shows you the image in reverse. To get an accurate picture you’d have to set up two mirrors; one behind you, and one in front. Then, if you position yourself carefully, you’ll be able to see a reflection of the reflection! You’re welcome to try it out for yourself this week! More importantly, as you react to someone’s response, you’d be wise to seek a third person’s perspective. That will enable you to make a useful discovery. Right here, right now... completely free audio and video forecasts. Go to ozfree.cainer.com

AQUARIUS (Jan21 - Feb 19)

Good memories don’t leave us. We just need to be careful that we don’t take so much pleasure from celebrating past successes that we forget to take care of what’s going on in the present. No matter how good last Sunday’s roast tasted, it won’t sustain you for long. Currently, you’re trying to achieve something. You know it’s possible, because you’ve done it before. That’s why you’re confident you can just do what you did last time. But, as the Lunar Eclipse reveals, you’ll be more successful if you approach it in an innovative way. TAURUS (Apr 21 - May 21)

Some people are experts at getting other folk to say what they want them to say. Specialists in the art of psychological manipulation are so skilful, they don’t even put their victims under pressure. Why bully and hoodwink someone into supporting you, when you can sweet-talk and persuade, charm and seduce? Has someone planted an idea in your mind so deftly that you’re inclined to think you came up with it all by yourself? If you need to persuade anyone of anything this Lunar Eclipse week, try using that same trick! An amazing service... completely free audio and video forecasts. Go to ozfree.cainer.com

LEO (Jul 24 - Aug 23)

Unless you make a fire, how will a phoenix rise from its ashes? If there are no clouds, where are you going to find a silver lining? Why would you ever need to appreciate the sunny side of the street unless the pavement you’re walking along is covered in shade and shadow? I make no apologies for over-emphasising my point... because it’s the only point that needs to be made! The cosmos has a clear message for you this week. The Lunar Eclipse enables you to see something positive and bright emerging from something bad. Try this out... completely free audio and video forecasts. Go to ozfree.cainer.com

SCORPIO (Oct 24 - Nov 22)

Is it really necessary to embark on a damage-limitation exercise? Before you move into action, it’s worth considering what damage you think has been done. There’s a real possibility that the damage has been inflicted on something that seriously needed to be damaged; that it was beyond repair. Far from backpedalling, you need to go further with your plan. Now that the ‘damage’ has been done, the Lunar Eclipse encourages you to take advantage of the opportunity that’s arising from what looked like a problem. A Christmas Carols event is planned for Saturday 10th December at 6:30 pm on the oval at Sandstone Point Community & Sports Complex, 202 Bestmann Road E, behind the Sandstone Point Shopping Centre (The Village).

The Committee who has organised the Sandstone Point Community Carols in the past few years, for a variety of reasons, decided not to go ahead this year. However, Sandstone Community Church (SCC), which has supported the previous carols events for many years, wanted to host a Christmas Carols event for the local community, so they are inviting the community to “Carols on the Oval” – a carols sing-along and concert featuring Dan Warlow, children’s musician and entertainer, performances by a local Bribie Island Dance Studio, Island Dance and fireworks sponsored by IGA Sandstone Point. Other sponsors include Victory Press, Hans Electrical Service and Nathan’s Sound & Lighting. SCC thanks MBRC for their Community Event Grant to help with production costs. This will be a different event from previous years as there will not be a pre-carols festival. Instead, all resources are being focussed on planning a fun family concert with favourite Christmas Carols. A limited number of glow sticks and battery-operated candles will be available on the night. This will be a free family event, so why not plan to have a family picnic – (BYO chair/ rug, food & drinks, torch or candle) and go along to sing your favourite carols and enjoy featured soloists and entertainment? SCC has been meeting in Sandstone Point Hall for almost 10 years and currently meets each Sunday at 3 pm. They have the heart to support the local community in any way they can, including a Craft Group on Mondays, mainly music for pre-schoolers and their carers on Thursdays, and Average Joes (AJ’s), a men’s group promoting masculinity, mentoring and mateship, meeting at the Sandstone Point Hotel on Wednesday evenings. You can also find SCC outside IGA Sandstone Point Tuesdays during school term, 11 am – 12noon.
