Where do you find your design inspiration?

Everywhere. I’ve been fortunate in my career to travel and explore various design styles in different countries. I think that’s what originally opened my eyes to the world of design. What’s exciting now is that you can scroll through your phone to get design inspiration. You can travel from the comfort of your sofa.

I would say that I am a no-coaster household. Your home is your sanctuary and I want every room to be somewhere I can curl up with a book or sit and chat with a friend. I definitely care more about people feeling comfortable in my home than saying WOW.

Which of your designs is your must-have piece?

The Lotus collection is the kind of furniture that you can expand upon for a larger living room but it still works in an apartment. I love it when you can scale it to the room. I also intentionally wanted to combine both the comfort of down feathers with a modern design and make the price affordable and within reach for more people.

Do you each have a favourite piece?

Jonathan: I’m a bit of a sofa snob because it’s one of the most important furniture purchases you’ll make. Our modular BLOK sofa collection from Scott Living (see page 14) can work for any family. It has the magic combination of function, style, and versatility.

Drew: I don’t like a lot of clutter so stylish storage is a big deal for me. I’m going to say our Reno collection because it packs in function with a lasting design.
