Home Start Herts

Each year Home-Start Herts has to bring in around £300,000 to continue supporting families (with at least one child under 5), who are feeling overwhelmed and struggling to cope.

We are currently receiving 20 referrals a month, over double the number we were receiving 4 months ago. Can you help us raise money so we can make sure we can meet the needs of our local families?

We have a number of fundraising events planned over the next year to suit all interests, including some real live ones which we are super excited about, and we would love for you to get involved.

So; talking about holidays may be a bit of a sore point at the moment, but we have set up a virtual travel adventure ‘Where In The

World…?’

All you have to do is sign up with us, select a holiday destination in the UK or abroad and then between 1st July – 31st August ‘travel’ the distance of your holiday destination by walking/ cycling/swimming/running the number of km’s it would take to get there.

You can travel solo, as a family or even make it a team building event. So let’s get packing people, don’t forget the sun cream, rubber ring and umbrella, just in case!

The cost to join the challenge is £5 for each adult taking part, children are free. We do suggest you do a bit of fundraising along the way too.
