This exhibition and publication are the second in a series that documents artistic activity in Texas in the early 1990s. (See First Texas Triennial.) The artists included are engaged in exploring ambiguous spaces and the gray areas of human experience, such as the tension between the scientific and the spiritual, life and death, nature and culture. Fifteen artists are included: Helen Altman, Jesse Amado, Tre Arenz, The Art Guys, Eric Avery, Thomas Glassford, Kelli Scott Kelley, David McGee, Nic Nicosia, Greg Reuter, Patricia Ruiz-Bayon, Bill Thomas, Toby Topek, Anne Wallace and Casey Williams. Includes entries on each artist by Peter Doroshenko and documentation on the artists’ careers.
