13th Annual Bikers With Boxes

Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, Billy Graham.org and Carolyn Brodie Bikers With Boxes is an outreach of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association through the Operation Christmas Child project of Samaritan’s Purse. This is an opportunity to bless children around the world. Bikers gather toys and other fun items and some folks add a letter or photo, and bring them to the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte NC. The shoeboxes that went from the backs of motorcycles into large cardboard boxes will be distributed in more than 100 countries. Last year, more than 8.9 million boxes were collected in the United States. Saturday, October 17 served as the kickoff for Operation Christmas Child's collection season, where more than 900 bikers from near and far drove in with packed Operation Christmas Child boxes. Through Samaritan's Purse, each one will be distributed to a child in need across the world. They brought more than 4,050 Operation Christmas Child boxes which included stuffed animals, school supplies, soccer balls and more gifts. Franklin Graham, president and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Samaritan’s Purse, addressed the crowd, sharing memories of early Operation Christmas Child shoebox distributions. Dennis Agajanian entertained attendees with his musical talents and Pastor Steve Combs shared his story of salvation.
