It is a free service but not a permanent support. My principle is to get you back up and running and legal and then put systems in place for the NPO to carry on it's own. How long can the process of partnership last whilst GB is walking a journey with the relevant NPO? This all depends on the need and support that is given. My aim is to put systems in place for them to be self-sufficient when our support stop.
Can you share with us one particular example of how God’s Business partnered with another NPO and the turnaround progress that was made and where they are at now? Over the past 6 - 9 months I have helped three NPO’s to get their basic book keeping and accounting up to date. All three will be ongoing for at least another year to get their financial year ends in order and certain tax needs sorted. One also signed up for the full, cloud-based HR function (LMKEM System) that my supplier is offering. We also assisted in CCMA cases with advice. God’s Business is a non-profit organisation (NPO) that helps and supports other NPOs in bookkeeping, accounting, IT, fundraising and others. GB is affiliated with a NPO, CUDO, in Fish Hoek, Cape Town. NPOs are generally so focussed on their main outreach that their statutory processes are often neglected. As a result, the NPOs are deregistered and it becomes impossible to gain support or get funding. God’s Business has set up agreements with various wellestablished professional organisations and people that render these services in the marketplace. God’s Business will connect the NPO with these businesses for the needed service to be rendered. These services will be paid for by God’s Business to get them started or until the NPO is back on its feet. God’s Business also requires funding to carry on supporting the above-mentioned services. Donations can be done to CUDO. A tax certificate will be issued for these donations. Support us to support others! Leonard Brand (founder) godsbusinessnpo@gmail.com
MARISKA FOURIE FOUNDER OF BABY ROOMZ
r e v c og i r l Entrepreneur & SA's national treasure continues to pioneer in NZ Thank you Mariska for sharing your incredible testimony. From the party days to the pregnancy to the loss of your baby and the start of your entrepreneurial journey into Babyroomz. God is so faithful to finish the good work He starts. How has your faith increased over the years?
Your husband made his first baby cot in a wheelchair while you were assisting after a caesarean – that is just unbelievable. What would you tell other people in the situation where they are about to give up?
For us “desperate times called for desperate measures”. God had always planned for us to have our own business but the comfort of the known and security of a monthly salary held us back from developing our God given entrepreneurial spirit. We believe that many things happened to us to change our direction. If it was not for the accidents and traumatic events, we would not have had the confidence to quit our jobs and start a business. But we had no choice, we needed to survive. So never get discouraged, never allow

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the
plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you.

future.”God tells us that He formed us in our mothers’ wombs. This is the link for me to Baby Roomz and the privilege we have to enter people’s lives during a very crucial time. It is at a time of excitement for a growing family, a time of uncertainty or shame for an unwed Mom, or a time of abandonment for an innocent baby. I have learned to rely more on God and to trust His will and plan especially through my darkest times. There is always hope. But the hope is not just for better, but for the best and perfect plan of God.
"There is always hope. But the hope is not just for better, but for the best and perfect plan of God." 15
You did revamping baby bedrooms from celebrities to the less than fortunate. What was the one room or project that stands out the most for you in terms of impact?
By far El-Shama Safe House for Abused and Abandoned babies! We walked into this building ready to build new furniture and with a logistical approach to fitting the furniture in and mechanically putting it together. But then I saw these beautiful little babies lying there, I realised that this was not just a room makeover, this was going to be a love project. My focus was no longer just making a room pretty but improving it for the babies and those who worked there. The Holy Spirit led me to do more than just build furniture and decorate rooms, but to form a bond with the organisation to impact lives. Not just those of the babies they fostered but of many other people. This was a special project that developed our focus and heart for abandoned and orphaned babies. A seed was planted in us to one day own our own Safe House and to facilitate training for staff of these centres. This was a project of R80k and we did not have a budget for it. But we stepped out in faith and God provided all the funds within the month of the project. Your passion is projects driven around babies and mothers who have been in traumatic situations. You also started your journey in South Africa but are now in New Zealand. How are you continuing your passion and projects over there?
For the future I feel a strong calling to engage all areas of social
responsibility.

community. This has been a passion of mine for many, many years and God has at various times placed people and projects on my path that has confirmed this. In 2007 I wrote a business plan that can integrate my business experience, love for people and my drive to impact community. Every person has value and purpose no matter their ability. I love the way that New Zealand acknowledge and support the special needs community. I have a dream to employ people with various abilities, train them and equip them with skills that can give them a sense of purpose. Teaching them how to change the value of a simple piece of furniture but at the same time teaching them about the value locked inside themselves. I plan to work with some of the not for profit organisations that already support this community and tap into the structures that already exist. I dream to expand this into other areas addressing various social needs. From the high suicide Baby Roomz is now sold and you have moved to New Zealand. Was it a difficult experience to sell this business which in itself was like a baby to you and your husband?
It is always hard to let our babies go. Whether it is your own
rates, drug abuse, teenage pregnancies and at risk children and women. Bringing hope to people through job creation and developing entrepreneurial giftings. My experience with Baby Roomz was that it was the training ground for what is to come.
child going to school or leaving the house or your foster baby going to their forever homes. This rings true for us as well. Baby Roomz was our baby that we cared for very deeply and clothed and fed. Although hard to let go our little baby has matured and we can let it go to its next stage in its journey. We looked after our baby and now it has gone to their new family. We trust that the new owners will look after and grow our baby to reach its potential.
"The Holy Spirit led me to do more than just build furniture and decorate rooms, but to form a bond with the organisation to impact lives.
If you were given a choice, what would you have done differently in your journey to get where you are today?
Work life balance. Putting our family first above all. This includes spending more time with our children and focusing on our health. We get so caught up in our passions and calling that we take those closest to us for granted. Moving to New Zealand is the start of this.
16
BABY ROOMZ Then and now with Manda Nelson, the new Baby Roomz owner taken over from Mariska Fourie
What a wonderful business to now be running with, how are you building on from that foundation?
Why do you feel Baby Roomz has a point of difference in today’s market for children’s furniture?
We introduced improved manufacturing equipment and quality systems, streamlined the operation and also inceased output. Baby Roomz also established a website with a full range of products, including prices, and an on line quotation request facility. Facebook has a following of 143 000+ and provides for a large portion of our sales.
Baby Roomz’ Mission Statement:- “We strive to be the preferred supplier of Baby, Toddler and Children Furniture in South Africa. Manufacturing and delivering the furniture with great care and ensuring that the quality of work and prices, are the best and affordable” This outlook and approach and the fact that we are very flexible in design and can cater for our customer’s specific needs has greatly assisted to increase the market. Our factory is open to customers to view the products This also gives them a feeling of co-designing their products.
Are you following on with what Mariska started in terms of the charitable projects she was taking on with the business? We have been involved in charitable organisations for a long time and are now using Baby Roomz to offer assistance to those organisations and others on different levels, utilising Baby Roomz facilities.
17
Have you expanded on any item range or would you like to and if so what? Baby Roomz is continually monitoring customer’s likes, new developments and new furniture fashions in order to adjust our designs accordingly.
WHAT DO YOU FORESEE FOR BABY ROOMZ IN THE NEXT 3-5 YEARS? To fully achieve our Mission, to be the household name in South Africa for the manufacture of baby, toddler and children room furniture. To that end we have purchased an additional CNC wood router machine to satisfy customers design demands.

BY HERONBRIDGE COLLEGE www.heronbridgecollege.co.za
For any school, the key question to be asked is, "What makes us different? Why would someone choose us over another option? What separates us and makes us different? And in this single question lies the heart of a sound education. All good schools will tell you that they offer a sound academic, sporting, cultural and outreach programme. These are the hallmarks of what a parent expects from a school today. And to be fair, pupils and staff at a good school expect the same too. As a school we aren't searching for mediocrity when we arrive in the morning. We are looking to be at our best in all that we do. Pupils are equally aware of the tighter options post-school and similarly, they too, are looking to achieve to their potential so as to be able to reach their goals and dreams. The three arms of any school; parents, teachers and pupils, set their sights on exactly the same goal and all three work tirelessly to reach that target. And so you will read of a 100% Matric pass rate at many schools. You will see rugby, swimming, netball and tennis results that reflect success. You will see, in many school brochures, images of children on stage singing, dancing, acting and playing musical instruments. But underpinning it all is relationship. And if we get relationship right, then the academic, sporting, cultural and outreach arms will flourish. Relationship involves a shared understanding of one another and a genuine desire to work in community. At HeronBridge College we work hard to foster this aspect of education. And so our teachers, coaches and mentors endeavour to be authentic and accessible to our pupils. We engage with them at each and every opportunity. We strive to break down power barriers that typically might get in the way and we work in partnership with parents and pupils to enable each individual to achieve to their very best. In the classroom we genuinely delight in the success of each young woman
or man. We
enthusiastically share stories in the staff room of success and endeavour. On the side of a sports field you will frequently find HeronBridge College staff and pupils standing side-by-side, supporting the players on the field. HeronBridge College is a distinctly Christian school. Our Christian faith and relationship with our Lord is what our school is rooted in. It is not simply an aspect of our day or a routine that we adopt, but is part of a living and breathing approach to all that we do. Each morning, our staff engage in daily voluntary devotions that are grounded in Biblical truth. Frequently an exam session will begin with an invigilator opting to start the process of the exam with prayer. There is an authenticity to our on-campus care for others that makes HeronBridge College quite distinct. We are a school founded on faith. Our website contains the full story of the origins of the school, but today, on our campus this Christian foundation can be found in the way we conduct ourselves and in the way we focus on the first two commandments in particular; love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind and love your neighbour as yourself. DECLUTTER 2020 Written by Anastasia Christodoulou
GOD KNEW... As the new year sets in and we look at all the presents that were gathered, the abundant overflow of everything we have in our cupboards I am reminded that I myself - a reformed sentimentalist fell victim to this continuous onslaught of gathering unnecessary baggage both in the physical and in the supernatural. But God knew the plans he had for me. My world as I knew it was about to change forever. I remember asking God a couple of times to confirm that I was hearing him correctly and when the confirmations rang true... I asked Him to confirm again. Oh, how patient You are with us Father. As it happened, I left Gauteng, my friends, my business and half of my possessions while the other half went into storage and I walked out of an abusive relationship with only the clothes on my back and my two beautiful boys. I arrived in Cape Town fearful and overburdened yet full of hope. And so my journey to declutter began. It was humbling to move back in with my parents as our relationship had been strained in the past. But God knew I needed their love and support and a safe space to heal and face my own shortcomings and ultimately teaching me true honor. At times I was out of my depth dealing with an unjust system simply to protect my family. But God knew I needed to fully submit and trust Him so that He could take care of me. He challenged me further in the workplace with many difficult people, challenges and further injustices until I began to be more forthcoming with forgiveness. But God knew what He was doing and so I learnt self-control and how to love the sometimes unlovable.
BUT GOD KNEW WHAT HE WAS DOING AND SO I LEARNT SELF-CONTROL
And then God’s favor and provision allowed my boys and I to finally move into a place of our own. I still recall the excitement of going to collect the few items we still had in storage only to find that a family of rats had first pick of our furniture. But God knew that we needed a brand new start and so He helped me declutter my life. 21
When you visit our beautiful HeronBridge campus, you may find yourself standing in an open area at the front of school, a place where a number of our pupils gather, awaiting the formal start of the day. Imagine it's autumn and a crisp early light filters through the branches of the trees above you. You are making the customary small talk that one makes in those moments when you don't really know someone and all of a sudden you become aware of the pupils all around you who were quietly sitting together in conversation. When you look more closely you can see the smiles and laughter in those small pockets of pupils. You pause for a moment before noticing the community that was in evident around you. Let this be your temperature test of a school; to see boys and girls in community,

unstructured time is an important indicator as to the health of a school. At HeronBridge College we are three schools in one. We are a Pre-Prep, a Prep and a College. We provide a full programme that takes a young man or woman from Grade 0000 right the way through to Grade 12. The "relationship" that has been spoken about in this passage so far starts right at the beginning and it endures through the full course of an entire school career. We see considerable success, for example, in our IEB Matric results at the College. These successes are underpinned by years of foundation work and a careful, well-structured and significant academic investment in the years prior. While sound academic teaching is certainly vital in the Grade 12 year, it is critical that the correct preparation has gone in at each stage in the building blocks of a school career. The same is true for all aspects of our school programme at HeronBridge College. The sound practice of our Pre-Prep staff and the similar approach at both the Prep and College ensure that a consistency is achieved and each child is sown into in order to enable them to reach their potential. And, so if you want to know more about us and what it is that we do at HeronBridge College, if this article has piqued your interest, then makea time to come and see us. EveryDay is OpenDay at HeronBridge College. The welcome you receive will be particularly warm and you will be drawn into our community with enthusiasm. At HeronBridge College, we believe that all children are gifted and talented by God in different areas but still need to learn life skills. We aim to educate children in such a way so as to achieve their personal best while allowing them to honourably face the challenges that life places in their path, thereby glorifying God. We are absolutely confident that we will be able to answer all your questions and we look forward to showing you what it is that makes us different. CL

John Wesley School educating our Tomorrow John Wesley School is a Christian, independent, English-medium primary school located in the heart of Pinetown. As a mission of the Pinetown Methodist Church, it has grown exponentially from humble roots to establish itself as a beacon of excellence in the Highway region of KwaZulu-Natal. John Wesley School was founded in 1977 with the express purpose of rallying against the inequality of opportunity, educational and otherwise, that was imposed by Apartheid legislation at the time. Today, with a learner complement of 643 children from Grade 000 to Grade 7, primarily from previously disadvantaged communities, John Wesley School’s exceptional academic standards set a benchmark for excellence that make it a natural choice for discerning parents who want the very best for their children. This is not a hyperbolic claim. John Wesley School is affiliated with the Independent Schools Association of Southern Africa ( ISASA) and in the past five years has undergone a thorough and rigorous examination of its standards by both the Independent Quality Assurance Agency ( IQAA) and the Umalusi Council for Quality Assurance in General and Further Education and Training, the state quality control body. Both organisations have awarded John Wesley School full accreditation. e endeavour toinculcate in our children a deep love for Jesus Christ. We encourage them to develop and display the same love, humility and compassion that Jesus uses to transform lives.
WRITTEN BY THE PRINCIPAL MR DARRON TARR
John Wesley School is a microcosm of what South Africa could be, diverse yet unified, and we believe that the pursuit of a common purpose in Jesus Christ is the key to this. The pursuit of this purpose is contingent upon us producing children who are well-rounded and our developmental focus is on spiritual, academic, emotional and physical progression. we have dedicated class and specialist teachers and we maintain an average of 28 learners per class throughout the school . We also employ a full-time remedial teacher and offer a class for Learners with Special Education Needs ( LSEN). In addition to this we have an outstanding pre-primary school that accepts children from the age of two years and an Aftercare facility that remains open until 17h30 each day.
We offer the CAPS curriculum, however, as a fully independent school , we endeavour to extend our children well past the parameters imposed by this curriculum. Our learners come from diverse backgrounds and in the majority of cases English is not their mother tongue. However, our children succeed in surpassing the minimum passmark of 50% in English home language due to expert teaching and our stubborn refusal to lower our standards for the sake of expediency. The development of a dedicated computerised reading facility, The Kerry Discovery Centre, which was very generously financed and equipped by the Kerry Group, has been pivotal inmaintaining our upward trajectory in the successful teaching of reading.
25
A unique feature of our school that accounts for our remarkable academic success is the School Support Team structure. Every week of each term, the Principal, Deputy Principal, Heads of Department, Specialist Remedial and LSEN teachers, a senior Grade 7 teacher and the relevant class and specialist teachers meet with the parents of children who are experiencing academic challenges. In partnership with the parents, this School Support Team analyses the challenges each child is facing and develops effective strategies to ensure that they continue to make meaningful academic progress. We routinely hold in excess of 160 such meetings each year, which illustrates the level to which we elevate personal attention at John Wesley School.
Prayer is a core component of our daily routine and we pray extensively throughout the school day. In addition, we conduct regular assemblies at which the name of Jesus Christ is proclaimed in a totally uninhibited manner through singing and devotions. Our extensive extra curricular programme that offers a wide variety of sports, cultural and academic support options, efficiently supplements our efforts to produce children who socialise effectively, have a profound sense of unity and a strong collective consciousness that will allow them to make a positive impact in their communities as they progress to adulthood.

THE EASTER MIRACLE: DIVINE INTERVENTION DEMONSTRATED (ROMANS 8: 11; EPH. 1:19-20) CLAUDENE SEBOLAI I imagine that Sunday morning while the women were on their way to the tomb to embalm the dead body of Jesus Christ. Hard as it was, their beloved leader had been crucified. He who had no sin died as a sinner. They witnessed with their own eyes, the torture, his broken body, the crown of thorns on His head, blood and water gushing out when He was pierced in His side, His desperate
cries
because
His
Father
had
forsaken Him. The blood sweat and tears, betrayal, denial, scorn, judgement. They saw it with their own eyes they were slowly accepting their lot. They had no expectation that a miracle could occur. Little did they know, just like in the womb of Mary, God Himself was performing a creative miracle in the tomb of the ‘dead Jesus’. A couple of days prior to His crucifixion Jesus promised His followers that He will send them a gift, that gift is His Spirit. Paul writes to the church in Rome and says that the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead now lives in you. In the tomb that day God Himself demonstrated to humanity the power and potential of the gift that he offered the human race. You may have seen with your own eyes how that situation died, and may have accepted your lot with no expectation for a miracle. This Easter, be reminded, that

Ingredients: (Makes 6 buns) 225g plain flour 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon 1 tsp mixed spice 25g butter 40g currants 25g mixed peel 1 tsp fast-action dried yeast 50ml warm water 50ml warm milk 1 egg, beaten For the decoration: 50g plain flour mixed with 2 tbsp water 1 egg, beaten
Instructions: 1. First weigh and measure all of the ingredients. 2. Sift the flour, cinnamon and mixed spice into the bowl and rub in the butter. 3. Next, take the wooden spoon and stir in the currants, mixed peel and yeast. 4. Now make a hole in the centre of the flour mix and pour in the water, milk and beaten egg. 5. Mix everything together to form a sticky dough, then knead on a floured surface for five minutes until the dough becomes soft. 6. Next, place the dough in a large bowl, cover with a slightly damp tea towel and leave to rise in a warm place for one hour. 7. After one hour, remove the dough from the bowl and knead for another five minutes until there are no air bubbles left in the mixture. 8. Take the dough and divide into six equal pieces and shape into round buns. Place on a large greased baking tray, making sure there is plenty of space between each bun. 9. Pre-heat the oven to gas mark 6 or 400 °F (200°C). Cover the buns with the tea towel again and leave for 30 minutes until they have doubled in size. 10. Now it is time to decorate the buns. Mix the extra flour and water together to make a dough. Roll out the mixture and cut into thin strips long enough to cover the top of each bun.

THANK YOU SO MUCH GERHARD FOR TAKING THE TIME TO SPEAK TO US TODAY. MAY I SAY THE EMI NPO MODEL IS JUST INCREDIBLE. CAN YOU ELABORATE FOR US HOW AND WHY IT STARTED?
Engineering Ministries International (EMI) was started about 37 years ago when an went on a mission trip to an island in the Pacific. During the mission trip, the host that he is an engineer, and immediately started picking his brain regarding their repairs and maintenance, and plans for future development. On his return flight thinking on what a privilege it was to be able to serve the Lord with his professional of a ministry serving the missions sector with architectural and engineering skills was
American engineer ministry found out facilities, required to the US, he was skills, and the idea born.
My own journey with EMI started with what I thought was a sabbatical in 2015: I had my own architectural practice. We were well established, comfortable. My wife and I thought it was a good time to take a break from our busy lives in Cape Town. I ended up volunteering for EMI in Delhi, India. How we ended up in India is a whole story in itself. God healed me of a chronic illness, He provided finances, and made miraculous connections. And the biggest miracle of all was that God lit a fire in our hearts for missions, a fire that is still burning. After about 4 months in India, my wife and I sat each other down, and agreed that “this is not just about 8 months in India”! I came back and in early 2016 exited my business, and launched the South African office in 2017.
EMI IS WORLDWIDE. HOW MANY COUNTRIES CAN YOU FIND EMI IN EXACTLY?
EMI now has 10 offices worldwide, including Cambodia, Nicaragua, Uganda, Senegal and the Middle-east / North Africa region. We are further looking to launch two to three new offices in the next five years to improve our reach into Africa, the east and Central America. Experience has shown that we are much better positioned to serve when we are as close as possible to location, and able to actively partner with local professionals in the countries into which we work.
"EMI NOW HAS 10 OFFICES WORLDWIDE" 43
IT MUST BE SO REWARDING TO DESIGN AND BUILD FOR SUCH REAL NEEDS IN OUR COUNTRY AND BEYOND. I AM SURE THEY ARE ALL SO BENEFICIAL, PLEASE SHARE WITH US SOME OF THE PROJECTS THAT HAVE TRULY TRANSFORMED COMMUNITIES.
Our projects range widely in type and scale. Our smallest project to date is a sewer installation for a children’s home and early childhood development centre in Khayelisha. At the other end of the scale we are planning a new university dedicated to training medical professionals in rural Tanzania. Both of these projects illustrate our heart for people to be restored to and by God, and for the potential of the built environment professions to make an active contribution in building His kingdom. We are currently involved in about 20 projects, ranging from local churches, ministry and mission centres, children’s homes, hospitals, clinics, schools, et cetera. Other projects that stand out to me are two new missional church and community centres in Strandfontein and Kirstenhof, a community centre focused on the care for vulnerable and orphaned children within our communities in Fisantekraal, and a refugee village in Iraq. We do not ourselves launch new ministries or create projects. We rather work with existing ministries seeking to expand or improve their facilities. Our sweet spot is where projects both serve the sharing of the gospel as well as care for the vulnerable, the widow and the orphan. Most people in southern Africa have heard at least a version of the gospel. I get really excited when we not only speak the gospel, but show the gospel, show the love of Christ to the people they serve.
EMI HAS A WONDERFUL INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME. PLEASE SHARE WITH US HOW THAT WAS DEVELOPED AND ON AVERAGE HOW MANY INTERNS THAT COME THROUGH THIS PROGRAMME AT ANY GIVEN TIME?
We have three to five interns in the office at any given time. Our interns are usually newly graduated design professionals from around the world. We currently have an American, a Tanzanian a South African in the program. We look both at professional development and spiritual discipleship. We see young architects, engineers and other built environment professionals as our mission field. Our aim is to send out professionally excellent, spiritually shining, and mission minded young men and women into their fields throughout southern Africa and the world. The development of people is really important for us. Internships is such an amazing opportunity for us to invest in the future of this country (and our region) and its people. It is also one of those opportunities where one can see results quickly, which is so satisfying. Interns spend between 5 and 11 months with us, and the impact on their lives is so evident. We are able to instill them with both competence and confidence: in God and what He has done for them, and in themselves and who He has made them to be. Our God is a God who restores, and to see this in young lives is a beautiful privilege.
EMI SENDS TEAMS OF DESIGN PROFESSIONALS AROUND THE WORLD TO ASSIST CHRISTIAN CHARITIES ON-LOCATION IN THE AREAS OF ARCHITECTURE, ENGINEERING, SURVEYING, CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT AND MORE — ALL ON A NOT-FOR-PROFIT BASIS. EMI BASICALLY STARTS A PARTNERSHIP WITH THE MINISTRY IN EACH REGION REQUIRED AS THEY HAVE A NEED. WHAT ARE SOME OF THE FACTORS INFLUENCING A CHURCH BUILD IN ANY 3RD WORLD COUNTRY?
Wow, a big question! I think firstly we look at gospel impact. As I said earlier, we want to see Love, not just talk about it. We as Christians owe the world an encounter with a Living God, to quote a popular author. This is especially necessary for the broken, those who have not had the opportunity to get to know Him as a Good Father. That is always at the core. Then we look at local context and cultural appropriateness. This does not mean that we build rondawels (round huts) because we work in rural settings! It means that we consider local materials, building techniques, skills, climate, cost of construction, et cetera to make sure that what we design will be environmentally, socially and economically sustainable, appropriate and transformational. Buildings need to speak of hope. We seek to convey our God’s redemptive and restorative nature in what we design: our God is a God who transforms. We hope to design with His excellence and love for beautiful things.
EMI HAS A VOLUNTEER PROGRAMME, PLEASE SHARE A LITTLE MORE ON THIS AS THERE MAY BE PEOPLE WHO WOULD LOVE TO COME ON BOARD ON A PROJECT BASIS TO ASSIST WHEREVER POSSIBLE TO SERVE AND VOLUNTEER IN COMMUNITIES ALL OVER THE WORLD.
We mobilise teams of design professionals to travel to the project location to spend time with the client ministry to envision, plan and design their facilities with their direct input. These trips are usually 10 to 14 days long, and allows for volunteers to be directly involved in mission through their professional skills. It is an amazing model where the full professional team gets together, and together come up with workable, appropriate and excellent solutions for the project. We have again and again seen how God can bring together a diverse team to work together to come up with nothing short of miraculous work in such a short time frame. Projects are then taken further in the local office, where we produce final project reports and drawings. We advertise these project trips on our website. There are currently three projects happening in early 2020 advertised: a prayer centre in Egypt, a foster care community in Lebanon, and a school campus master plan in Uganda. The available opportunities are updated on a regular basis, with projects throughout the developing world.

IF SOMEONE WANTS TO JOIN YOUR TEAM OF EXPERTS, WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO THEM? HOW ELSE CAN PEOPLE SUPPORT EMI?
There are a number of ways to get involved. Firstly, I’d say GO! Jesus told us to GO into all the world to share the good news. The fields are ripe! The easiest way to do this is to join us on a project trip. It is incredibly rewarding to be able to go and to use your professional skills on mission for God. A project trip is both deeply personally rewarding and truly meaningful. We get to be the ones coming along side and supporting ministry leaders and missionaries on the front lines of the mission field. You are needed, and you can make a big impact. If you want GO on a project trip, visit our website at www.emiworld.org and scroll down to where it says “GIVE GO PRAY”. Click on the GO link and it will take you to the relevant information. And if you are not satisfied with short-term GO-ing, we are looking for additional staff in most of our offices, including South Africa. You are most welcome to contact me directly should you want to hear more. You can also PRAY. We are on mission, and we need your prayers. Our clients need your prayers. Each month, we fill a calendar with a few of the prayer requests shared by each of EMI’s teams and send it out. Again, visit the website and scroll down to the PRAY link, where you can sign up to get our prayer calendar. Then, very importantly, you can GIVE. We are missionaries, and all of our staff raise support to fund their role with EMI. We are dependent on people like yourselves to be able to do our work. You can either support an individual (highly recommended), or you can support the office in general. You can see our team at https://emiworld.org/za/team. We generally ask people to commit to give a monthly amount for a given period, so you can support one of our staff by giving a monthly amount for say one or two years. And please feel free to contact me at Gerhard.vandermerwe@emiworld.org if you would like any further information.

Matthew Gill
TCL interviews Matthew Gill Art by Charlene Ainslie
When you meet Matthew Gill you immediately think of that saying "Don't judge a book by a cover" and when you speak to him and get to see his heart you realise that who the Lord sets free is free indeed (Mark 10:45). We are so privileged to have had the opportunity to speak to this South African artist making headlines not only in local newspapers but even reaching international waters with his bright pop-style art culture.
ART
Thank you so much Matthew for taking the time to chat to us at TCL Mag. We are so excited to find out more about the artist behind this incredibly unique and fresh collection of painted woodblock carvings. Can you share with us your journey as an artist, where and how it all started for you? It’s only a pleasure to be asked to share a little about my life with TCL and its’ readers. I’ve always loved art. I’ve naturally pursued art through many of life’s seasons. I’ve been fortunate enough to study art in a prestigious tertiary institution and be blessed with a supportive family. I’ve loved every step of this journey. Can you tell us how your personal testimony with Christ has potentially changed your art style just as much as you have changed as a person? My walk with Christ has given me my true identity. Before I followed Christ I was very lost in who i was and I believe since I’ve become more grounded in who I am - so has my art. I no longer worry about what other people think. What inspires you mostly as an artist? I love creating and expressing myself. I love seeing people relate to my work.
This particular collection we have highlighted from your collection really portray the gospel in the most authentic way, how did this come about for you? I love symbols. Bold, simple symbols or icons appeal to me and I try capture that in my work. The gospel is simple and is for all. I want my art to be simple and accessible to all. When you get your new inspiration, how do you put it altogether and how long does each piece take you? I work quite fast. I don’t think about the work too much. Most people think my work is paintings but the true fact is they are carved onto wood and painted. I’ve been carving for over a decade so my speed in my art is merely due to experience. Where do you see yourself going as an artist? Would you like to own an art gallery one day or do you prefer to collaborate with galleries and stick to making the magic? I’ll never stop creating art. I’ll have to trust in God and see what doors open for my art. Currently its going very well. I have representation, making healthy sales of my work and there’s plans to be represented in another country in 2020. 47

2020 VISION
BY JESSICA RHIND
A friend of mine posted a joke about finally having 2020 vision in 2020. I thought it was a good chuckle. What is your vision for 2020? Do you have a strategy for the year’s ups and downs? Continued Stress increases the risk of developing chronic illness. To help combat it, we can focus on these healthy steps:
BRAIN HEALTH
“It all starts in the realm of the mind.” Dr Caroline Leaf writes in “Switch on the Brain “. Scientist have now discovered that our brains are malleable and adaptable, this is called neuroplasticity. This discovery underlines the idiom, “if you put your mind to it you can do anything” and the scripture in Romans 12:2 becomes clearer: “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Isn’t it marvellous to think that you can play a big role in your own mental health. The way you think can literally change your brain. I will admit it takes courage, but it is worth it in the end. With discipline and these five steps:
STEP ONE - GATHER
Increase awareness of what you are letting into your mind. Think about what you are thinking about!
STEP TWO - FOCUSED REFLECTION
Mindful mediation. The bible speaks about meditating on the word day and night. Recent research has shown that meditation may relieve chronic inflammation as well as reduce stress.
STEP THREE - WRITE
Writing is an important part of the rewire process as writing down your thoughts consolidates the memories and adds clarity to what you have been thinking about and highlights areas of your thought life that need detoxing.
STEP FOUR - REVISIT
This stage is where the brain is highly active and in a dynamic state which is perfect for positive change. Here is where you revisit the previous three steps and design your new positive thoughts.
STEP FIVE - ACTIVE REACH
Anchor the thought with a physical movement, eg. While you hold the thought in your mind touch your ear or clench your fist, connecting the thought with a movement helps to establish the memory. Strengthen this pathway by confessing (declaring) it several times a day. It’s as simple as that. It will take 7-10 mins a day to work through the 5 steps, and within 21 days a new pathway has been created in the mind.
51
H E A L T H
BRAIN FOOD
Just as our thoughts are important for brain health what we put in our bodies is important as well. Some of the key nutrients that affect brain function are: Omega 3 is a fatty acid brain building block which cannot be made by the body, and has to be consumed through foods or supplements. The best sources of Omega 3 are oily fish, like cod, sardines and salmon. Plant sources are flax and hemp seeds. Free range eggs from hens that are fed a diet rich in omega 3 foods. Research has shown that omega 3 fatty acids are anti-inflammatory and have antioxidant effects which in turn may play a role in protecting our thinking skills. Magnesium: “The calming mineral”, because of its ability to reduce the excitably of nerve cells. Magnesium is needed for over 300 biochemical reactions in the body. In the brain it blocks N-methyl-D aspartate (NMDA) receptors from being triggered by weak signals unnecessarily and helps prevent over stimulation which leads to cell death, and may then lead to brain damage. (health line)
BLOOD SUGAR
Stabilizing blood sugar is important for the brain, significantly affecting the way we feel. Starting the day with easy carb meals lacking proteins or fats sets us up for a crash later. Our blood sugar raises very high and because this happens so fast our body goes into overdrive and releases large amounts of insulin to counter act all the sugar in the blood. This dose of insulin is too large and "uses up" all the sugar which then causes a below normal blood sugar level and we feel like we have just been hit by a train. Instinctively we reach for sugary foods and restart the cycle. Another way that has been shown to help regulate blood sugar is by incorporating intermittent fasting - going extended periods without food, for instance having your last meal at 18:00 the previous night and then only eating your first meal 16 hours later. In a society obsessed with food it is a good principle to acquire. We too easily overindulge! In proverbs 23 v19-21 it says “Oh listen, dear child become wise; point your life in the right direction. Don’t drink too much wine and get drunk; don’t eat too much food and get fat. (Message bible) Why not try the” 21 day switch on your brain” steps for over indulging thoughts.
EXERCISE
This is so important for both the brain and our physical bodies. A running research article posted in The Guardian showed that running changes the grey matter in the brain. This is what runners have been saying for years! Running changes the way we think and feel. Interval running has been shown to improve aspects of “executive function”. This area of the brain tunes out distractions and switches between tasks. Another way running (and other cardiovascular exercises) may help reduce stress, is by way of the kynurenine pathway.
When we under stress our liver converts the amino acid tryptophan into a molecule called kynurenine. This kynurenine can find its way to the brain and its accumulation has been strongly associated with depression and anxiety. When we exercise, we store an enzyme called kynurenine aminotransferase in our muscles. This helps break down the kynurenine into kynurenic acid and this acid cannot enter the brain. Let’s love ourselves better in 2020! Capture harmful thoughts, indulge in healthy eating and treat ourselves to the joy that exercise brings. 52

WORSHIPPING JESUS DEFINES WHO I AM.
BY SIMANYA ASSUR-LALLA
Man says we choose our own destinies but as children of God we know that our GOD given purpose, blueprint and gifts were already pre-ordained before our birth. Such as it is written in the Lambs book of Life, Ephesians 2 v 10 and Psalm 139 v 16 defines the detail. In the year 2014 in the cold month of August I had a miraculous encounter with Jesus the Christ who saved my son, he had suffered from seizures that caused certain neurological delays, but He had also saved me from my self-sabotaged delay of my own destiny. To give you a better view… I never planned to come to Christ, but it was Christ who was drawing me towards Him, and today I could not ever ive without Him. For nearly two years prior to this encounter My son was hospitalised very often due to the seizures or any cold or high fevers. Doctors could not explain why he was having these continuous episodes, even the MRI’s could not detect a reason. Continue page 57 54

"LORD I KNOW THAT YOU ARE OMNIPRESENT AND THAT YOU ARE ABLE TO HEAL MY SON"
The night of my encounter I surrendered my heart to God and in doing so I said “Lord I know that you are omnipresent and that you are able to heal my son, I asked in the name of Jesus that he has no more seizures and that we spend no more nights in hospitals. Saints, it was so, for the past five years he has not had one seizure, nor have we spent any nights in hospital by Gods Grace. During this time, I had found that worshipping Christ brought me solitude, filled voids from my

saturated my son with the Holy Spirit anointing. After living off the scripture Matthew 6 v 33 & Isaiah 6 v 8 for about a year, I had a divine encounter with the Holy Spirit and so since 2015 I started receiving songs in the Spirit. The best way to explain this to you is… I hear a new tune in my core, I keep humming it while I grab my smart phone, I place it onto record and hum until a new song supernaturally births, the full song, chorus and bridge, sometimes I only get the chorus and weeks later the rest, I hear what I refer to as “The sound of heaven” then I sit back and listen to what Papa God just sent.
I stand in awe of Him, because to date I have received albums that I have not yet released. I have noticed that the more I worship Christ around Alex, the more he is healed. They did not see me when we went in or when we came out. They ignored me as if I was not there but asked for all the identification of the taxi driver and the Pastor that was with me! Louw in our home church in Cape Town apparently prayed that God would make me invisible! In Zimbabwe I escaped being arrested and put into prison by run ning to the nearest police station where I met the Minister of Defence who pardoned me and gave me leave to carry on with my mission, along with his personal card and details in my pocket. By 2012 the Philippines used to have 24 typhoons per year. The last serious typhoon completely destroyed Tacloban and more than 7000 people died. But since then we started praying for typhoons to decrease and to date they have only had 4 weaker typhoons annually. God has spared my life on many occasions and healed me of all my dis eases. He also spared my wife and children and kept them healthy. I have kept the part of my vow to God to go to other lands to preach. I have reached 123 nations to date and I still have 72 nations to go before I have reached the whole world for Christ. I have no ambition about it but I be lieve it is possible. Three Pastors have seen the same vision about me: 'We see you cutting open a pathway in the jungle with a panga (ma chete). But don't give up; the clearing is just up ahead where the sun shines brightly! You are preparing a path for others to follow. It will be easy for them.' So I encourage new missionaries to keep going!

Die Here is my herder, ek kom niks kort nie. Hy laat my rus in groen weivelde. Hy bring my by waters waar daar vrede is. Hy gee my nuwe krag. Hy lei my op die regte paaie tot die eer van sy Naam. Selfs al gaan ek deur donker dieptes, sal ek nie bang wees nie, want U is by my. In u hande is ek veilig. U laat my by 'n feesmaal aansit, terwyl my teĂŤstanders moet toekyk. U ontvang my soos 'n eregas, ek word oorlaai met hartlikheid. U goedheid en liefde sal my lewe lank by my bly en ek sal tuis wees in die huis van die Here tot in lengte van dae.

collected more than $3million US Dollars through the “Handful of Rice” ministry. And they had no outside funding. The people of Mizoram live in poverty, but they believe that as long as they have something to eat every day, they have something to give to God every day. Sometimes we’re afraid of giving because we are anxious that we won’t have enough for our own needs tomorrow. But when we realize that God is who Jesus says He is: Almighty Creator and our gracious heavenly Father, then I can live without fear because I know: He cares for me. We don’t give so that we can receive; we give because we have already received so much from God. To give isn’t an exchange transaction. We give because God first gave to us: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son…” (John 3:16)

GENEROSITY IN THE MIDST OF WAR
YOUR RECEIVING IS PROPORTIONATE TO YOUR GIVING (2CO 9:6)
In 2001 Western Uganda was at war. The ADF, a rebel group in Uganda, overtook many regions of Western Uganda, forcing over 80,000 survivors into the turmoil and destitution of refugee camps. The people were destitute and without hope. But there was one who chose to inspire through generosity and gracious giving. Bishop Hannington Bahemuka had a burden for his church to give from

speaking to Bishop Hannington about putting into practice what he had learnt about generosity. He learnt that everything we have belongs to God (Psalm 24:1), and realised that even in the refugee camp, God had provided resources for His people. He went back to

return to their home, Bundibugyo, only to find that everything had been destroyed. Bishop Hannington started inspiring his people to think about ways to rebuild. He told them that God had given them everything they needed to rebuild their community. Soon people started using their skills and gifts to rebuild their community. A farmer used her skills to sell tomatoes for the reconstruction of the church; those with building skills gave of their time and skills. Soon the people of Bishop Hannington’s community had rebuilt the church, provided homes and schools for the orphans, and the needs of the people were met. The people understood that they needed to create wealth in order to allow for tangible generosity. No longer did they wait for the West to arrive with help. They chose to focus on what they had and trust God to rebuild their war-torn town through their own generosity. In 2 Corinthians 8 and 9, Paul writes to the Corinthian Church to encourage them to participate in a giving project which they had committed themselves to. The offering was meant for the poor Jewish Jerusalem believers who were facing harder-than-usual economic times as a result of a famine. Several churches joined the effort. From his plea to the Corinthians a few gems regarding giving comes to light.
YOUR JOURNEY OF GENEROSITY We are facing difficult times in South Africa. Don’t be discouraged. Make a decision in your heart to give of your time, talent and treasure, as you are able. If your giving doesn’t bring you joy, something is wrong. I have observed that when people are reluctant to give it boils down to two factors: 1) They are afraid to give, in case there won’t be enough for them to survive or 2) they are too busy accumulating for themselves. Start small and grow your generosity until you excel in it. Jesus said, “And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is my disciple, I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward.” (Mt 10:42) The Mizoram churches and Bishop Hannington took God at his word and were not disappointed. The mission of Generosity Path is to gently restore this grace of giving within the hearts of the body of Christ. I always say: "The Prosperity message is all about getting. The generosity message is
GENEROSITY IS AN ACT OF GRACE
all about giving". Our people need to discover the “joy of giving”.
(2CO 8:7) But just as you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in your love for us—see that you also excel in this grace of giving.
GENEROSITY IS AN ACT OF LOVE (2CO 8:8) I am not commanding you, but I want to test the sincerity of your love by comparing it with the earnestness of others.

EX-MUSLIM TESTIMONY
I KNOW WHO I AM BECAUSE OF JESUS WRITTEN BY SARAH TALIEP Born and raised as Sihaam, a Muslim for 29 years. Until my Heavenly Father changed my name to Sarah in 2015. Coming out of a life of emotional, verbal and physical abuse both as a very young child and an adult. Always feeling like an outsider. A father who hardly spoke to me, a mother who struggled to show affection. My first encounter with God was dying as a baby. Going to Heaven. This huge green field; a bright blue sky above me, the sun shining, blue birds chirping and a river of milk. Suddenly this strong booming voice says “Go back your work is not done.” All my life those words haunted me. Today I understand what it meant. Jeremiah 1:5 “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.” Yes, I was an outsider because of God setting me apart to do His will in my life. Happy childhood memories is but a few. I recall my father smacking my mother and pushing her around. I made a vow unto myself that no man will raise his hands to me. As a teenager I struggled with thoughts of suicide. Expressing myself was never easy even as an adult that all changed when I accepted Jesus. t 18, I went on minor Hajj visited Egypt, Jerusalem, Mecca and Medina. At 20 I met my ex-husband. As per Muslim tradition, the female is never present when the male asks the father permission to date. Six months later I was engaged, six months thereafter married due to conversation that took place between them.
SUDDENLY THIS STRONG BOOMING VOICE SAYS “GO BACK YOUR WORK IS NOT DONE.”
On 27 April 2001, the age of 21 I married even though I was filled with doubt. I informed my mom during the first two months of marriage that I want out as my husband was verbally and emotionally abusive. She responded that “the first two years are the hardest, it will get better.” It never did. It only worsened. On 1 July 2002 my eldest son was born at 29 weeks emergency caesarean; I had Preeclampsia. Today, he is 17 years old. On 4 September 2003 my youngest son was born at 37 weeks. Today, he is 16 years old. In 2007 the abuse became physical after moving to our own house. My husband often rejected me in bed. I ended up quite often in hospital due to the stressful environment at work and home. I resigned but two months later reluctantly accepted a job after my husband applied on my behalf without my knowledge. One night in 2008 alone in my room doing my daily prayers, I cried out of frustration to God not Allah, “God surely this is not the life you have given me?” Shortly after that outburst we saw a beauty spa exhibition in the mall. My husband spoke to the owner knowing I studied in that field.
A Few days later I was offered a partnership, we discussed it and my husband encouraged me to accept. Not knowing he is a Born-Again Christian.
Needless to say this man always shared about Jesus and challenged my beliefs. He encouraged me to read the bible but never forced his beliefs on me. I witnessed how he led many to Jesus as well as many healing miracles. After witnessing this and constantly being in his presence, we fell in love and I had an affair. On June 2009 , while lying in my bath Jesus appeared to me surrounded by this bright light, clothed in a white robe with arms stretched out and said “Give your life to me.” Immediately I surrendered my life to Jesus and felt immense peace. After uttering the sinners’ prayer He instructed me to completely submerge and He baptised me. May 2010, my husband raped me. In Islam, a husband has a right over his wife and rape is not acknowledged between a married couple. I had a nervous breakdown. Feeling worthless and broken my parents sent me back to the marriage. I was left with blue marks several times thereafter. Twisting and grabbing my arms to prevent me from working. To this very day, my sons believe that I pinched my arms blue even though they bore witness to the abuse.
The affair resulted in a child being born. My daughter born on 5 February 2011 at 26 weeks and died in my arms on 27 April 2011. She was buried immediately as per Muslim tradition. That evening, asleep in her room, angels came and took me up in acloud to God. I laid my head on the Father’s lap and HE gently rubbed my head as I cried myself to sleep and whispered to me, “One day you will understand.”I started confessing to certain clients that I am a Born Again Christian and was blessedwith my first bible which I read in secret and hid amongst my daughter’s belongings.
On 27 December 2011 my husband hacked my Facebook account. The affair and paternity of my daughter was discovered. He punched and beat me up so badly that day in front of my sons and youngest burst out crying. I was granted an interdict against him. Divorced on 1 February 2012 marked the start of endless court battles. In 2013 I started attending a church and embarked on a journey of deliverance. October 2013 God blessed me with my own place. A second time home buyer being blessed with 100% bond. My sons were happy to attend church with me which my parents soon discovered. On 2 January 2014 my dad visited to inform me of a family meeting. God revealed the purpose of the meeting and I knew what was about to transpire.
"HE STOOD UP AND PUNCHED ME HARD ON MY FACE"
On 5 February 2014, I entered my parents’ home and sensed the tension. We all sat down and my dad asked “Do you go to church?” God whispered “Speak the truth today” Boldly I replied, “Yes, I do.” He asked “Do you take my grandchildren to church?” I replied “Yes.” Everyone threw their hands up in disbelief. Again he asked and again I affirmed. His interrogation continued and I boldly stated that I am a Born Again Christian. something cracked and fell on the tiles. That day I lost half a tooth for Jesus. My dad screamed “How can you be Born Again if I gave birth to you?” My siblings and mother called me a pig and beat me nonstop. My bag with my bible and car keys got taken from me. In all the commotion I called on the name of Jesus and He made a way for me to escape. While walking down the road my dad and younger brother drove after me in separate cars. At first I refused to get in but in the end I relented.

Upon arrival at their home my uncle Sheikh Nazeem was present. More concerned about my face, he drove me to the pharmacy. During that drive he preached to me about Islam and was curious to know who this Living God I talk of is. I challenged him to accept Jesus into his heart to know who the Living God is. As he stepped into the pharmacy I got hold of my pastor and they started interceding for me. We sat for two hours outside my parents’ home. God instructed to be still. I only spoke when God said speak. I had the opportunity to tell him that Islam is a violent religion. He was up in arms all I responded was look at what transpired today. I entered the home to pick up my sons. In that short time they were brainwashed. My dad asked me for forgiveness and I immediately forgave him. I hugged and greeted all and to this day have not set foot back there. That week another custody battle began. Both my parents signed affidavits stating that I am an unfit mother. All because I left Islam, they sided with my abusive ex-husband.
I incurred huge amounts of debt fighting in court. I am still paying the cost. Instead of surrendering my sons to God and letting Him fight on my behalf. I went into a huge depressive state and even tried to commit suicide. Ended up thrice in institutes, lost my mind but JehovahRapha my Healer completely healed me. My sons were turned against me and constantly said “I don’t need to listen to you because you a Christian and I am Muslim.” On 3 February 2015 my eldest son smacked me, turned around and told their dad I am being abusive. Which was a lie. Their dad fetched them immediately with the police. I have not seen them since even though I tried to make contact and have a court order to see them. I let go that day and left them in God’s hands.
I have been serving Jesus for just over ten years. It was not the easiest decision to come out about my love for Jesus but I would do it all over again. Jesus got beaten, was persecuted and betrayed by the world. Taking a beating for Jesus and being ostracised is worth the freedom for self and my loved ones. Since my calling I desired to be in ministry and even though I am working in a ministry, I have a ministry of my own, The Exodus Ministries. Almost every prophecy that has been spoken over my life has come to pass. The one prophecy I feel that is giving birth is the organization that I need to establish for the abused and the ex-Muslims. Exodus 14:14 “God will fight for you, and you shall have peace.” It has been prophesied that I will preach internationally including Muslim countries. The 2018 Tanzania mission trip marked the first of many. For someone that has no extra money and struggling to pay off debt will graduate with a degree in theology. God always makes provision for all we desire to do.

BEAUTY
One would think that summer bodies are made in winter. But no, the sun is here the flowers are in full bloom and we naturally embark on the journey for smooth, gorgeous, firm skin, free from ingrown hairs, winter fuzz and that dreaded orange peel. “Laser Lipo seems to be huge here in Cape Town,” Comments Amy Knoetze from Pulse Dermatology and Laser in Cape Town. “However I find that in most cases patients are getting more water loss with this treatment than anything else, which has resulted in us bringing in London’s star body tightening laser, The Near Infra Red in motion laser from Alma lasers NIR. This not only speeds up the localised metabolism of the area treated, but it instantly tightens the skin. The results have been fantastic! And because it is working deep in the skin and fatty tissue, the results last! It gives the effect of a bottom lift and is great for saddle bags, muffin tops, excess weight around the abdomen and even those bingo wings.” “The next trend in beauty treatments is Hyperhydrosis, a treatment by the administration of Botox to combat excessive sweating. “BOTOX® injections temporarily block the chemical signals from the nerves that stimulate the sweat glands. When the sweat glands don't receive chemical signals, the production of excessive sweat stops in the treated areas only. Sweat continues to be produced elsewhere. Where does the sweat go? Your sweat doesn't go anywhere or get backed up, because the sweat simply isn't produced in the areas treated with BOTOX®. Says Amy.
“Remember, the rest of your body is free to release moisture normally. And if you were to stop BOTOX® treatment, the sweating function would return to normal.” she continues. Research has shown that 84 out of 104 patients treated with BOTOX® (81%) achieved a greater than 50% reduction in sweating, compared to only 44 out of 108 treated without BOTOX® (41%)

His best most likely will come in a man that sees you for who you are, loves you unconditionally, with all your weakness and imperfection. Someone who doesn't expect anything from you but is just happy to be around you, because he sees what you bring and what you have to offer. Someone who honors your time and your space, your calling and your Kingdom Purpose. Someone with integrity and honor that shows you they are invested in keeping you accountable to fulfilling your Destiny. Prophetic Clothing- Beloved Clothing Collection By Geneke van Niekerk
Thank you Geneke for taking the time to chat to TCL mag for our fashion segment. I have to say I have followed your brand for the longest time now and I absolutely love the concept and every collection you bring out. Can you elaborate on what exactly the concept is for our readers and how it came about? Thank you. Beloved Clothing Collection was birth right out of God's heart. In September 2018 I received a prophetic word from the creative leader from Bethel Church in Redding, that Beloved Clothing Collection will be a prophetic clothing collection that will restore dignity and bring out Gold in women. So, you mention that it is a prophetic fashion range – how do you start the process with the Lord in terms of selecting styles and fabric colour and texture etc? When I go to the Fabric store I pray that the Holy Spirit highlights fabric to me and when I buy it I wait upon the Lord for the prophetic meaning and then I pray and release that specific word over each garment when it's done. Your first fashion item was a collection of kimonos – why did you choose this fashion item to start? When the leader from Bethel prayed for me she did a prophetic act by Clothing me with a jacket. (it reminded me of Joseph jackets) and I felt it will go hand on hand with the kimonos. Do you only manufacture what God tells you? What if there is another great pattern or style you find but God says no? Yes only lead by the Holy Spirit when choosing designs and fabrics. Gods heart is that every women looks modest, so I have to be very sensitive to His voice when choosing the right designs.
Only between 10-maximum 20. I want the garments to be exclusive and don't want to mass produce. I feel that when buying a garment your are investing in a ministry, so it's not just buying another piece of garment that

Joel Osteen the New York bestselling author and senior pastor of Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas says what propelled biblical heroes was a force called favour. He says that favour will take you where you cannot go on your own. He details in his book examples from his own life of how favour played a part in shaping who he has become. He shares how it was because of favour that they were able to acquire the Compaq Center and turn it into a church. ORIGINALLY PUBLISHED BY GATEWAYNEWS.CO.ZA
Louie Giglio On ‘Not Forsaken’ The book is about how we relate to God. The main thrust is to help all people, no matter whether they had a great relationship with their father or no relationship at all, to see that God wants to be known as a perfect father. A lot of the time we know that He is almighty. We know that He is sovereign. We know that He is a King and Lord but what Jesus taught us above all is that God is a Father. ORIGINALLY PUBLISHED BY GATEWAYNEWS.CO.ZA
On ‘How Great is Our God’ Giglio says God is the ultimate scientist. He made it all. How Great is our God is about showing kids everyday something phenomenal about creation, about the stars, or the plants or the human body or about animals or nature and then there is a parallel from that amazing thing to the God who made that amazing thing and to the God who made them to discover more the intricacies and the beauty of God’s creation. KANYE WEST DECLARES
Kanye West is, as sometimes self-reported, perhaps the most successful
"JESUS IS KING"
recording star ever. He has won 21 Grammys, had so many #1 hits and sold so many records (over 100 million) that it is almost impossible to keep up. He is truly a creative genius and has written and produced many hits for other top stars as well. His work has often been controversial and he has often exhibited “Messianic” tendencies where one could wonder if he thought HE was the King. Now, suddenly, he has bowed his knee to Jesus and his “Jesus Is King” album has already set all kinds of new records. (If you haven’t heard it, be sure to. It’s truly amazing and I highly recommend it!) It is presently #1 in five different genres of music. Kanye also has many other very successful business ventures, particularly in shoes and clothes. TRUMP TARGETS ANTISEMITISM, BOYCOTTS AGAINST ISRAEL ON COLLEGE CAMPUSES US president Donald Trump is threatening to cut federal funds to college campuses that don’t curb anti-semitism against Jewish students, with an executive order set to be signed today, according to a senior administration official. Trump’s new order will hit the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement head-on and will invoke Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to fight anti-Semitic rhetoric on college campuses, labelling Judaism as a nationality as well as a religion, and calling on federally funded agencies to adopt the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance definition of anti-Semitism in cases of discrimination. KINGDOM COME SOUTH AFRICA - SEAN, BILL & SHAWN Right now the Holy Spirit is stirring our hearts with an increased desire for the “more of God” to break into our nation. At the beginning of another decade there is an urgency for the Church to be built with greater accuracy, on the foundation of the Apostles & Prophets. For the 3rd time people from all across South Africa will be gathering under the banner of Kingdom Come SA in Johannesburg, from Thursday 27th through Saturday 29th February 2020. This leap-year conference is an opportunity for you to receive fresh impartation, and is designed to encourage and equip believers across the nation for the coming harvest.
Once again we host renowned revivalist
and author Bill Johnson, and we welcome for the first time internationally acclaimed prophet Shawn Bolz. This is going to be an awesome combination of Ephesians 4 gift ministries. Our friend Sean Feucht and members of Bethel Music will lead us into the Presence of God through anointed and passionate worship.
Our prayer is for ever-increasing
outpourings of the Holy Spirit upon the Church in South Africa with a resultant revival of the saints and a reformation of society. The harvest is ready, it’s time for believers to be empowered to step into the fields, to release Heaven on Earth. For the King and His Kingdom . John Crumpton: Breakthru Life Church. TWO CHARGES AGAINST PRO-LIFE DOCTOR SET ASIDE De Vos’s hearing has been delayed and rescheduled, and charges have been changed on more than one occasion. On October 28 and 29 his legal team argued, among other things, that the delays render the hearing unfair and the charges are unlawful. In its media release DFL says that after some two years of linking their refusal to sign De Vos’s internship completion off with the outstanding disciplinary proceedings, the Wynberg Military Hospital has now abandoned this position. “In this regard the Disciplinary Committee of the HPSCA in effect in its reasons delivered on Tuesday has confirmed this delinking. Prior to this despite letters to the HPSCA requesting clarity on this, no response was forthcoming from the HPSCA,” says DFL. De Vos, who is a member of DFL is supported by DFL and legal team (De Wet Wepener Attorneys and Adv Keith Matthee SC) on a pro bono basis. ORIGINALLY PUBLISHED GATEWAYNEWS.CO.ZA

Reflecting on our 2nd birthday celebration
The event was more than okay .. it was more than anyone could have bargained for. What you got right on the night was the setting, in terms of dĂŠcor and the catering - the food was simple, yet excellent. We know that at any function is memorable when the food is good. It created the atmosphere for people to concentrate on the program for the night and the awesome testimonies. From my vantage point, I never saw a single person leave before the time, which is testimony to the success of the night. To crown it all, the event and your magazine created and provided the platform to shake the heavenlies on the night. ERNIE - MC OF THE PARTY
