CONTEMPORARY STREETWEAR LABEL ÚCHÈ BY AMBER

9 A new name on the design circuit, the contemporary streetwear label ÚCHÈ by Amber is making waves in the industry thanks to its formula of exclusive pieces that fuses the designer’s Nigerian heritage with urban aesthetics. Drawing inspiration from different times, eras and culture, ÚCHÈ by Amber strives to provide unique and bold ready to wear collections for all genders and cultures. Co-founded by Nigerian sister duo Amby Orah and Joy Orah, the Dubai based fashion brand launched the label in April 2019 and is a culmination of urban and contemporary styles with a touch of sophistication. The word ÚCHÈ meaning ‘idea’ in Igbo, the native language of the founders in Nigeria, represents the series of original and spontaneous ideas that ÚCHÈ by Amber will be putting forward. ÚCHÈ by Amber RTW pieces are produced in limited numbers for each collection to maintain exclusivity.

Kate Moss attended the opening of Giorgio Armani’s Pop-Up Shop in Moscow, dressed in Messika Paris jewelry. Escorted by Roberta Armani, the Messika Muse shone wearing the High Jewelry Sea King earrings from the 2018 High Jewelry collection - Once Upon a Time. to an idea’, says LOEWE’s creative director Jonathan Anderson.

December, 2019

Redefining culture with authentic bold statements through fashion, ÚCHÈ by Amber launched its first capsule collection earlier this year in September featuring clean and minimal streetwear elements. The collection includes T-shirts, jackets, kimonos, pants and skirts and features a crisp white base material with an added ÚCHÈ monogram variation, being a celebration of minimalism and simplicity in urban streetwear style. The capsule collection is mainly a one-size fits all, oversize design that takes away the seriousness surrounding fashion. With the baggy looks, there's more room to play around and that is what fashion should be, experimental and stepping out of the norm.

BEYOND COMPARE: CRAFT AND CULTURE COMBINE IN LUXURIOUS NEW PEN COLLECTION A unique partnership is continuing its journey in a new range of luxury pens by Graf von Faber-Castell for Bentley Motors. The unrivalled craftsmanship and unmistakable design which unites the two combines Bentley’s legendary spirit with the elegance of Graf von Faber-Castell for a writing experience beyond compare: shape your journey for 2020. A collaboration between the two brands, which formed a partnership in 2018, this new collection of writing instruments joins the initial series and the limited edition collection celebrating Bentley’s 100th anniversary this year. It makes the perfect gift for a loved one or adds a finishing touch to your holiday cards. Distinctive and highly individual elements such as wood are crafted using sophisticated techniques to deliver a special allure for a discerning audience. Bentley’s use of precision-crafted sustainable veneers in the cabins of its models are one of the marque’s extraordinary and unique features, forming an essential strand of the brand’s DNA. Graf von Faber-Castell shares these values with its British partner. The renowned maker of luxury writing instruments, located in Stein by Nürnberg, has always placed great emphasis on artistic workmanship and selected natural materials. Precious woods play a prominent role in the new collection, with the material’s grain emphasising the design and providing texture. This is what gives the pen its unmistakeable look and feel. The Fountain pen, the Rollerball pen and Ballpoint pen in the new “Graf von Faber-Castell for Bentley” range, all guarantee an exceptional writing experience. The barrel of the pens is crafted in sable black ebony – one of the most opulent and hardest precious woods in the world – and are meticulously formed by Graf von Faber-Castell. The natural distinctions in the lightly textured black wood of the ebony barrels help to illustrate the individual character of each pen, ensuring that it becomes intimately familiar to individual owners.

010

All of the metal parts that adorn the writing instruments are platinum plated. The fountain pens also feature an 18-carat gold magnum nib. Its iridium tip delivers a smooth and refined writing experience and to ensure each nib is of outstanding quality, every single one is individually “run in” by hand. It takes more than 100 steps, most of which are completed by hand, until the nib finally achieves the perfect balance of hardness, tension and elasticity. This is why writing with this exclusive fountain pen is such an incomparable experience. Elaborately milled filigree knurled rings adorn the front and end pieces of this collection’s writing instruments as a tribute to Bentley’s legendary quilted diamond pattern. The barrel’s matt black ebony wood (solid wood), inspired by the wood veneers inside a Bentley, is finished with natural varnish to subtly highlight the individual grain of the wood. One of the most valuable woods in the world, the ebony used in the collection’s barrels is a by-product of musical instrument making. The new collection is available to order via shop.BentleyMotors.com Customers around the world looking for unique gifts over the festive season can view the full Bentley Collection online or enquire at their nearest Bentley showroom.

adidas Originals Introduces New Home of Classics Footwear Collection Celebrating 50 years of experience in sport and culture, the collection features 10 court inspired silhouettes.

MKS JEWELLERY RELEASES UAE NATIONAL DAY CAPSULE COLLECTION Named ‘Love Notes to the UAE’, the Special Edition Pieces Pay Tribute to the Rich Heritage of the Country

In honor of the United Arab Emirates’ 48th National Day, MKS Jewellery has created a very special limited-edition capsule collection that pays tribute to the rich heritage of the UAE and celebrates its founding.

015

adidas Originals pays tribute to some of its most foundational silhouettes this month, bringing 10 essential sneakers – both archival and contemporary – into a single collection identified as Home of Classics. The classic footwear pack is a representation of 50 years of the brand’s expertise with white leather sneakers, reimagined for present day. The collection’s 10 distinct silhouettes all have direct ties to the court - featuring the Superstar shoe, Torsion Comp sneaker, Nizza Hi RF model, Continental 80 silhouette, A.R. Trainer sneaker, Stan Smith shoe, and Rivalry Lo model from the archive, and 3 contemporary additions to the adidas Originals roster, Supercourt sneaker, S.C. Premiere model, and Supercourt RX silhouette each taking its aesthetic roots and elevating it to its most pinnacle form. Built from premium white leathers, the silhouettes have all been designed to get better over time. Viewed as a whole, the collection is a documentation of some of adidas Originals’ most influential designs, and a testament to the timelessness of quality craftsmanship that provides longevity for the wearer, regardless of their choice of experience or expression.

“National Day is a special time where we are reminded of what this country has given us – it is loving to all and is loved by all. At its core, this collection is about this love for the land and its people, it’s stories and dreams yet to come true” H.H. Sheikha Mariam bin Khalifa bin Saif Al Nayan.

The delicate pieces that comprise the collection draw inspiration directly from the nation’s ancestry. Using a historical method of engraving, MKS has designed four unique stone cameos: one depicting the UAE emblem and three depicting portraits of the UAE’s rulers: Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Totaling 75 hours of work, each piece is hand carved and framed by a simple and elegant border of hand-set heart cut diamonds, a twist of our time that transforms this otherwise classical setting. In keeping the contemporary woman in mind, each piece has also been thoughtfully designed to be a transformable accessory, with options of wearing it as a chic brooch or a statement pendant necklace. MKS Jewellery’s limited edition National Day capsule collection is timeless in itself with traditional and transitional finishes reminiscent of antique jewellery pieces, yet with a contemporary aesthetic. Full of sentiment and value, each piece is created as a future classic, made to be part of heirloom collections and passed down from generation to generation. “I love how these pieces are so sentimental, precious, delicate and beautiful, which in this moment of reflection reminds us of the meaning in life and relationships with yourself and others” H.H. Sheikha Mariam bin Khalifa bin Saif Al Nayan. With a brand built on the foundation of expressing sentiment, celebrating heritage and storytelling, making sure that every piece of jewellery she creates has its very own story to tell, H.H. Sheikha Mariam bin Khalifa bin Saif Al Nayan personally chose three exceptional Emirati women who inspire her and the UAE, to be part of a special MKS Jewellery National Day video diary, inviting Diala Ali, Sara Falaknaz and Hala Kazim to share their stories of sentiment. “What is closest to my heart is that these stories are heard, and the UAE heritage is celebrated throughout generations, past, present and future” - H.H. Sheikha Mariam bin Khalifa bin Saif Al Nayan. Be it through a comforting memory, a specific sentiment or inherited traditions, these love notes to the UAE hold the truest and most valuable messages.

Vacheron Constantin and the Louvre, an artistic and cultural partnership Throughout its history, Vacheron Constantin has demonstrated a deep commitment to art and culture, embodied in numerous partnerships. Its relationship with the Louvre is a natural extension of this celebration of beauty and this constant concern for the conservation, preservation and transmission of heritage. Future projects will include collaborations inspired by the collections of the Louvre.

After having supported in 2016 the restoration of the clock named La Création du Monde (a masterpiece of 18th century precision horology presented to King Louis XV in 1754 and deposited by the Musée national des châteaux de Versailles et de Trianon in the Louvre), Vacheron Constantin is signing a partnership with the Louvre this year. This collaboration reflects the respective legacies of the two institutions that share the same respect for history, culture and heritage.

016

Louis Ferla, CEO Vacheron Constantin, said: "I enthusiastically welcome this collaboration between our two institutions, both centuries-old yet firmly rooted in the 21st century, as evidenced by the favour they enjoy among an audience of connoisseurs. Our Maison has long since stood out in terms of both artistic commitment and cultural patronage. With the Louvre, we are beginning a very promising new chapter. We could not have dreamt of a better partner for a constructive dialogue on the themes of art and culture.” Jean-Luc Martinez, President-Director of the Musée du Louvre, commented: "The Louvre has always been a vibrant place, inspiring creative talents of every era. I am delighted that Vacheron Constantin, a Maison committed to the patient and demanding workmanship involved in Haute Horlogerie, now finds in the Louvre a repertoire and techniques that reinforce and magnify its concern for beauty.” This partnership with the Louvre is a natural continuation of Vacheron Constantin’s artistic and cultural commitment, encompassing areas inherent in centuries-old institutions for which archiving, conservation and restoration are decisive factors. This attachment to the splendours of the past and the transmission of knowledge also means profound respect for artistic crafts, which are essential in Vacheron Constantin's creations as well as in the activities of the Louvre. On the strength of these shared skills that will prove naturally conducive to discussions on artisanal practices and techniques, the two institutions have sealed a partnership that will notably take the form of horological projects inspired by the Louvre's masterpieces. Vacheron Constantin and the Louvre will also collaborate on creative projects aimed at promoting art, creation and beauty through a multicultural approach. www.theciin.com

Faisal N ASER

"A denim jacket is something everyone should have in their closet. It's an essential item to have, and goes with everything."

Former banker turned "first male Emirati stylist", Faisal is breaking down the barriers in his pursuit to show the world that fashion stylists should be taken more seriously. While aiming for the stars, via Hollywood, he reveals who he would give a makeover to, while rocking up in his Fedora hat!

Please introduce yourself. Tells us your back story and how you got into styling?

I'm Faisal Naser, the first male Emirati stylist. After graduating with a Diploma in Electrical Engineering, I began my career in 2009 as a banker before moving into Human Resources. I worked for many companies and loved helping people find jobs, but there was always something missing. After 11 years, I quit my job and followed my dreams into fashion. I applied to magazines and landed a job as a journalist and fashion stylist.

What's most surprising being a male fashion stylist in the Arab world?

That people don't take my job seriously and think it isn't a career. I'm breaking that barrier and showing the world that being a male stylist is as normal as being a female F1 driver.

Do you style both men and women? Yes, but I mostly focus on women's styling.

What's the biggest mistake guys make in grooming?

Following trends. Guys need to understand that not everything suits them. Men come in different shapes, and that's why they need to seek advice. Ask what suits them for their shape.

Your best grooming tips for guys?

Manage your facial fuzz; find your signature scent, and know which hair products work for you.

What's the biggest misconception people not working in your field have about your job?

That my job isn't as important as any other job, what they don't understand is that my role is crucial and I contribute to people and society by teaching them how to dress and look good. December, 2019

Most memorable moment of your career so far? I am still waiting for my big break.

What challenges do you have as a stylist?

Styling is a very stressful job, but when you see the look on the client's face, all the stress goes. I'd say achieving a client's satisfaction is the most challenging aspect.

What future goals do you wish to achieve?

To work in Hollywood and have a fashion consultancy company.

Describe your style? Futuristic and funky.

Favourite item in your closet?

A denim jacket: you have to have one. It's an essential item to have and goes with everything.

If you could choose a celebrity closet to shop in, who's would it be and why? Tracee Ellis Ross: she is a fashion icon, and I think her and me have the same tastes in fashion.

Everyone loves a deal, so what are your favourite places to find a bargain?

Zara and H&M, but to be honest, I buy whatever my eyes fancy, and I never stick to a budget. Maybe that's why I don't have savings.

What items do you like to splurge on? Handbags and good boots.

Trends you love now....

Oversized shirts and waist belts. ....And those Sequin dresses.

that should disappear?

If you could choose anyone to give a makeover, who would it be and why?

Britney Spears. She needs to start dressing her age, and I believe I'd do a good job changing her looks.

What's the best style advice you've received? I'm the only one who can rock Fedora hats!

Who's your favourite designer and why?

All designers are my favourites! I love vintage, and whatever looks nice.

Describe a time early in your career where you felt you could say, 'I made it'.

You never make it till you die. There's always something new, and I'm aiming for the stars.

Your message to CiiN magazine.

I am very grateful for being given this amazing opportunity. Be safe, be stylish and for any fashion tips, check out @F.a.n.a.n. December, 2019

Tissot Gentleman Permanent elegance

026

As innovator by tradition, Tissot is dedicating its new Gentleman to the elegant man of today. Sophisticated yet understated, made of steel, it is available in six versions. This 40 mm-diameter model shows Tissot’s devotion to fine workmanship in its watchmaking, with carefully-wrought details. www.theciin.com

Versatility

The Tissot Gentleman is a multi-purpose watch, both ergonomic and elegant in any circumstance. It is equally suitable for wearing in a business environment, where conventional dress codes apply, as at the weekend, when it adapts easily to leisure activities. As part of the life of a modern, active man, the Tissot Gentleman becomes the perfect companion for every day, every occasion and every style. Inspired by a 1960s model, this piece draws its inspiration from the dial of the original watch launched in the sixties, at a time when all codes were being revolutionised and which saw the start of a contemporary trend. Today, that decade continues to influence various fields and Tissot has given one of its heritage pieces a modern twist.

Colours

Two straps adorn the Tissot Gentleman. They add the defining touch to two types of model. The first is a steel bracelet, consisting of three wide links. The one positioned in the centre is burnished while the ones surrounding it have a satin finish. The solid attachment is more sporty and is the natural extension of a silver, blue or black dial. The second option consists of a selection of smooth calfskins.

Details

All the dials, whatever their colour, sport four noteworthy features. Firstly, the ring of applique hour markers, bevelled and buffed to a satin finish, and accentuated by faceted dauphine hands with white luminescent material and a date aperture at 3 o’clock, reveal the subtle elegance of the dial. Secondly, a very slender second hand enables the time to be read with great precision, to the second. Lastly, the “Powermatic 80 Silicon” indication is a reminder that the Gentleman has an exceptional calibre.

The heart

In fact, Tissot uses the famous Powermatic 80, in the version with a silicon balance-spring. This spring provides greater longevity, more precise running and greater resistance to magnetic fields. The self-winding movement has a very convenient power reserve of 80 hours, hence its name. With over three days of running time when not being worn, the Tissot Gentleman allows its owner to get through the weekend without having to rewind his watch or reset the time.

The Gentleman’s watch

The Tissot Gentleman can thus be worn for both work and leisure, formal and informal occasions, sporty or smart events. And it always looks elegant with its finely-wrought dials and automatic movement. It’s the very watch for a gentleman. Always at ease, without ever overdoing things, no matter what the situation.

LOEWE PRESENTS A SEASONAL COLLECTION INSPIRED BY BRITISH CERAMICIST WILLIAM DE MORGAN (1839–1917) British ceramicist William De Morgan was renowned for his Arts and Crafts tile designs. Now his fantastic creatures and floral arabesques are celebrated in this collection of Ready-to-Wear, accessories and charms for both men and women. Certain details are enlarged on coats and bags, while others are hand-stitched onto oversized scarves and knitwear. Some garments, such as a woollen dragon’s tail, or a horned knitted beanie, remake the wearer as a monster themselves. This is a collection in which the imagination is set free, and the magical is blended with the everyday. One standout piece is a black leather LOEWE jacket with a crimson dodo painted on the back. Another is a peacock-print trenchcoat in indigo, cerulean and green. De Morgan’s drawings of peacock feathers and yellow flowers also feature on soft calfskin Puzzle, Hammock and Gate bags, which are now available in miniature sizes. Blue and white dodos and hoopoe birds decorate trousers, skirts and wool- and-calfskin bags: Cushion Totes for women, Military Messengers and Vertical Totes for men. Rabbits and partridges collaged over foliage adorn linen-and-calfskin Lazo Shopper and Bucket bags, as well as small wallets and cardholders. ‘Each year we have tackled different Arts and Crafts heroes of mine,’ says Jonathan Anderson. ‘For me it was a very natural process to do William De Morgan, he was a big collaborator in the Arts and Crafts movement and a true fantasist in that moment.’

De Morgan’s life changed in 1863 when he met the textile designer William Morris. He joined the decorative arts company Morris & Co. that same year, and soon took charge of its tile design and production. In keeping with the Arts and Crafts creed of technical experimentation, he developed his own innovative methods of glazing, firing and colouring. Likewise, LOEWE has a longstanding mastery of craft skills; as demonstrated by these virtuoso reimaginings of De Morgan’s artwork in leather marquetry on Postal bags, embroidery on calfskin, and thickly layered weaves.

"(Acting) can be challenging, personally and professionally. I get to share the journey with fans - and I can try and impact lives on a small but relevant scale."

Fish and chips-loving Anisa, one of the stars of 2019's much-hyped Indian web series Code M, counts resilience as a key trait that has enabled her to enjoy much success in her acting career since the age of 12. Whether it's Disney or Shakespeare, she immerses herself in the roles and prides herself on facing challenges, while enjoying the rollercoaster of it all!

When and how did you get into acting?

I started when I was 12. I think it was my involvement in school plays and studying drama at school which made me realize, "Hey, I'm passionate about this." I enjoy it. I decided this is what I wanted to do. I was also inspired by actors and loved watching movies.

Tell us about your acting experience.

It's been quite a rollercoaster, but an adventure. It's been wonderful to work in all mediums from TV and commercials to feature films!

Name your top 3 acting projects so far, and why?

The last web series I did in India called Code M for Ekta Kapoor's online streaming platform ALT Balaji. I got to work with a fantastic director who allowed me to bring to the role what I wanted. It was also emotionally very challenging. The other one is Ishaan with Disney India. It became such a big hit. It was my first major professional job, gave me a wealth of experience, and allowed me to make friends for life. Thirdly, it was a play, Othello by Shakespeare; I did in London. It was extremely challenging, and I loved the process of firstly getting my hands on Shakespeare text, and understanding the complexity of the role.

Best things about being an actress?

Each job is different and requires a unique process. It's never dull, but it can be challenging, personally and professionally. I get to share the journey with fans who support and constantly encourage me along the way. And I can try and impact lives on a small but relevant scale.

Hardest things about acting?

The insecurity of it all. You don't know when the next job is and there isn't a fixed idea of your career. There is nothing set about it. Even in terms of days and hours, you do take the work home with you. I think the constant preparation does make it hard, and the competition to stand out as it's a profession so many would like to do.

Who inspires you in your acting career?

Support wise, my mother has always been encouraging and inspiring me to keep doing well. I love and am inspired by so many actors: Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Nero, Will Smith, Meryl Streep and Aamir Khan!

What's your advice for young people who want to start acting?

Get some solid training, so you have a base to build on. Go in with a resilient attitude and have lots of patience. You're lucky if you have the support, but even if you don't have the self-belief. Stay focused and keep loving the process as it never stops.

How do you prepare for a role? I like to dig into the text, study character objectives, their motivations and relationships with other characters. Then you can play with body language/accents and all the other touches. Also, I use substitution, which makes situations more real according to personal experiences.

What do you like to do away from acting? Write poetry, work on my podcast @unplugwithani, spend time with family, watch movies and discover new coffee shops!

Which Bollywood actor are you keen to work with and why? I would love to work with Aamir Khan as I feel he honours the acting process.

What's the funniest thing that's ever happened to you on set? When I was shooting for Ishaan and very new to working in India, the boys used to pull my leg. I was told to pack up and went and changed. They played a prank on me telling me I still had more shooting left and I had to go back and change.

The hardest scene you've ever filmed? 042

Two scenes in Code M. One was a very emotional scene with Jennifer Winget, and I had to be in a specific headspace. The other was towards the climax.

Name your dream acting job you'd like to do one day? Along the lines of Rosamund Pike's character in Gone Girl.

What do you consider to be your most significant achievement? Getting to work in my home country and another country like India. Learning Hindi. And coming up against the various challenges on my journey, but remaining resilient.

What are your upcoming projects? Another web series in India, and a British indie feature. Favourite Sport: Boxing. Favourite Music: A bit of everything! Travel Destination: So far, New York. Favourite TV Show: Friends. Favourite Food: Fish and chips. Favourite all-time movie: Shawshank Redemption.

Your message for us at CiiN magazine. To all my loyal followers, thank you so much for your support. I hope to reach more people and touch more lives. I am also excited about what's to come.

CODE 11.59 BY AUDEMARS PIGUET’S MULTIFACETED ARCHITECTURE AT THE JUNCTION OF

TRADITION AND INNOVATION The Swiss Haute Horologerie manufacturer’s latest collection, Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet, launched at the beginning of the year, presents a case composed of contrasting features speaking to the watch’s beauty and technical intricacy. Its multifaceted and curved architecture which required the use of dedicated tools and pushed hand finishing techniques to new heights is complemented by more details than meet the eye.

AS MICHAEL FRIEDMAN, HEAD OF COMPLICATIONS AT AUDEMARS PIGUET EXPLAINS, “CODE 11.59 BY AUDEMARS PIGUET GIVES THE POLISHERS A CANVAS TO CREATE.”

December, 2019

045

PUSHING THE LIMITS OF GEOMETRICAL COMPLEXITY Let’s take a closer look at the savoir-faire that enabled the creation of this complex case—a marriage of advanced technology and time-honoured tradition.

Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet is endowed with a contemporary architecture that unites an octagonal middle case with a round extra-thin bezel and stylised arched lugs. The case’s multiple geometries and ergonomic curvature made the conception, manufacturing and decoration of each component particularly intricate. Complex programming, dedicated tools and highly specialised human talents had to be combined for the industrialisation and hand-finishing of the components.

CONTEMPORARY DOUBLE CURVE The geometry of the extra-thin bezel was designed to integrate the complex double curved glareproofed sapphire crystal that the Manufacture specifically conceived for the collection. The glass’s internal surface is shaped like a dome, while its external surface is vertically curved from 6 to 12 o’clock. Playing with depth, perspective and light, the crystal provides a unique visual experience while enhancing the detailed work on the dial.

CUTTING-EDGE HAND-FINISHED LUGS To complement the case’s multifaceted architecture, it was decided on openworked lugs endowed with a complex curved geometry combining five different axes. Audemars Piguet engineers welded the lugs to the upper bezel in order to leave the octagonal middle case unobstructed from view and push further the hand finishing on this piece. In other words, the upper lugs are soldered to the extra-thin bezel, while the bottom lugs lean delicately against the caseback in perfect alignment.

046

New processes challenging traditional production standards were developed to solder the lugs to this extrathin surface. Each lug is individually soldered to the bezel with a soldering paste applied by hand. To conclude, their resistance to tear is tested in a machine specifically conceived for Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet. Once the bezel’s diameter is adjusted by hand to compensate for the deformation caused by heating, an expert polisher delicately polishes the welded junction of the lugs and bezel to hide the soldering paste with a subtle finishing touch – a detail invisible once the watch is fully assembled.

DELICATE ALTERNATION OF SATINBRUSHED AND POLISHED SURFACES The challenge and intricacy of Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet lies in the immaculate and perfectly aligned alternation of satin-brushed and polished surfaces around the case. This level of aesthetic complexity is only achievable by hand. The interweaving of polishing and satin brushing is one of Audemars Piguet’s trademarks. While rendered more prominent with the launch of the Royal Oak in 1972, this combination has adorned many of the Manufacture’s wristwatches throughout the 20th century. Although keeping with Audemars Piguet’s traditions, Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet has pushed handfinishing techniques to new heights. The case’s multiplicity of angular and rounded surfaces has presented a real challenge to the manufacturer’s finishing experts—a highly specialised team comprised of 6 polishers and 5 satin-brushing specialists www.theciin.com

047

HAND-FINISHED TO THE SLIGHTEST DETAIL Each component of the case has been pre-polished and pre-satin-brushed after machining before being decorated to the slightest detail by hand. The polisher delicately chamfers the angular surfaces of each component, adding a smooth and mirror finish. The difficulty lies in polishing the smallest details without altering their forms and compromising the piece’s alignment. The polished chamfers adorning the lugs’ internal and external surfaces, as well as the hidden face leaning against the caseback, testify to the technical and aesthetic complexity of Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet. The screw openings on the lugs also present polished bevels barely visible to the eye. Precision lies in the tiniest details. Each component is then carefully finished with traits-tirés—a technique with requires dexterity, patience and perfect alignment. From its conception to the final touch, the case of Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet has been conceived to surprise with its myriads of contrasting details which give life to this multifaceted piece—a harmonious marriage of cutting-edge technology and ancestral savoir-faire. AQUAZZURA INTRODUCES THE JEWELRY CAPSULE COLLECTION CREATED IN COLLABORATION WITH BEGÜM KHAN. Like a treasure hunt in the nooks of Istanbul’s Bazaar, the exclusive collection Begüm Khan x AQUAZZURA will bring you to the discovery of unique jewelry pieces with exotic flair and exquisite design. Edgardo Osorio in collaboration with his close friend Begüm Khan, the famous Turkish jewelry designer, created a collection of earrings, necklaces and pouches cast from bronze, a material representative of the Ottomans jewelry history and heritage. Beetles, Roosters, Hearts, Orchids and Pineapples are the symbols protagonist of the collection. All of which are beautiful, vibrant and full of positive energy. The Beetle, also known as “Khepri”, symbolizes “good luck” and “immortality” in Egyptian Mythology, the Rooster embodies “sun” and “resurrection” in Chinese culture, while the Pineapple, the AQUAZZURA logo, is a symbol of friendship, prosperity and hospitality. Eight different styles each exquisitely handcrafted, by artisans in Istanbul, from 24K gold plated bronze and embellished with crystals, root rubies, root emeralds, quartz and citrines, all offer colorful and sophisticated designs with a touch of extravaganza.

068

“For me, Edgardo has always been a great inspiration and also a great friend. He is one of the most colorful and elegant persons I know. It was so inspiring and exciting for me to be his partner in crime to translate his sense of elegance to jewellery.” Begüm Khan

“I’ve always admired Begum’s taste and talent for creating beautiful and artistic jewels. She always surprises me with her charm and knack to create pieces that are extravagant, yet easy to wear.” Edgardo Osorio

Holidays are always perceived as fun, bright, and summery. A newer, darker vision is given to holidays in this editorial. Keeping the aspects of Holidays alive, like a larger than life straw hat, animal print outfits, and swimsuits; A darker turn is taken with the makeup and the treatment to each picture. The makeup is not your ideal soft summery holiday makeup, instead it’s a bold cat eye with dramatic lashes and heavy contours which strongly contrast the two ideas. The animal prints in the outfits have been taken from the archives of fashion that have had a comeback recently. Bold animal prints, bodysuits and key holes have been a feature through out. So relax while we transport you to the land of Holiday Noir.

THE FOREO LUNA 3 HAS THE TREATMENT FOR ALL SKIN TYPES

078

Skin type may be genetic, but your skin condition is largely determined by your skincare regime. Swedish beauty brand FOREO latest launch, the LUNA 3, has something for everyone from oily to sensitive skin to everything in between. The new LUNA 3 is the first ever skincare device on the market that combines an ultra-soft, hygienic cleanse with a variety of targeted firming massage routines all controlled via the FOREO app. FOREO created some pointers on using LUNA 3 for your specific skin type and a few tips and tricks that will make you fall in love with your skincare routine all over again. Those with a normal skin type are born with the lucky genes of having flawless skin but just because your skin is nearly problem-free doesn’t mean you should get lazy. Here’s how to keep your skin looking its best. Those with sensitive skin, your skin is picky and requires full-time maintenance. But that’s not always a bad thing. In a way, your skin kind of warns you against harmful ingredients. A lot of moisturizers and cleansers have ingredients that actually strip away moisture instead of locking it in. Sensitive skin makes it harder to exfoliate regularly, which is one of the ways to minimize lines. Use LUNA 3 for sensitive skin, combined with naturally moisturizing products, to help gently massage and exfoliate problem areas. Lock in hydration and minimize the lines on your skin for a beautifully smooth complexion. Combination skin, or as we like to call it: 2 in 1 skin type. Frustrating, right? Having to deal with two completely opposite skin problems. Good thing you have FOREO to give you a few useful insights and tricks to keep you looking your best. www.theciin.com

"Respect yourself, and believe in you." Well-travelled, Brazil-born AmĂŠlia began her modelling career at seven and has been the model of choice for many global brands, such as L'OrĂŠal Paris, China Glaze and Bacci Lingerie. Despite her high glamour career, you'll be surprised what her go-to wardrobe is and where she dines in Montreal - her childhood home.

Who is AmĂŠlia Racine? I am an international model born in Brazil and brought up in Montreal, Canada. I began modelling and acting as a child in Montreal. At 17, I signed with a Milan agency and began full-time modelling in Europe. Now my career is mostly in the USA. Tell us about your education. I completed my studies in Canada. I was a very artistic student: into drawing, painting, theatre. How and when did your interest in modelling develop? As long as I can remember, I have always wanted to work as a model and actress. MKS Jewellery Unveils the Brand-New Al Otaiba Collection at the 11th Annual Abu Dhabi Art Fair Drawing inspiration from H.H. Sheikha Mariam bin Khalifa bin Saif Al Nayan’s great grandfather, Al Otaiba translates to ‘The King of Pearls’ and the new collection looks to tell stories of Sheikha Mariam’s ancestry, honoring UAE heritage and bringing it to the present through modern interpretations.

098

Proudly using Emirati pearls as well as the classic mother of pearl, the handcrafted creations are a marriage of past and present through the stories they tell and through their thoughtful design. The collection; comprised of necklaces, rings, bracelets and earrings, incorporates five storylines that reference back to the nation’s pearl heritage and reflect on Otaiba in different ways, all the while keeping a contemporary feel and elevated aesthetic in order to speak to new generations. "Emirati pearl and mother of pearls are so precious to us, they speak of the colors of our sea and the color of the earth, where our ancestors are buried, and where we find roots to grow. How beautiful the color of our home, how unique is its glow." - HRH Sheikha Mariam Saif Al Nahyan

Lulu Cubes - Future Classics The use of hand cut red carnelian is a historical reference to this part of the world, found here in archeological sites and used in some of the first pieces of jewellery. MKS takes classic Emirati gemstones like the pearl and carnelian which tell us stories of the UAE’s ancestral heritage, of a time before ours, and revives them through contemporary design. The MKS Jewellery woman is empowered and is contemporary, she knows her heritage but is redefining it for the today, and for the future. The Lulu Cube pieces enable her to push the boundaries of how to wear a pearl piece, a future classic with a which will one day be our heritage.

Lulu Hearts - Sentimental classics Dedicated to what Otaiba would bring back from his journeys, the Lulu Heart pieces are inspired by the pearl merchant and the woman who has pearls in her family heirlooms as they are true examples of how much love there is around the pearl and the sentiment around it being gifted. Lulu Hearts are classic pieces created to make the statement about passing a token of love and sentiment. www.theciin.com

Promise Knots - Tokens of Trust Inspired by the rope that pearl divers used to be lowered down to the oyster beds and pulled back up when ready to surface, MKS Jewellery incorporates an ultra-simplified hand twisted rope detail throughout the collection, full of thoughtful messages within this treasured amulet found at sea. Similar to the line of trust between diver and seib, who would pull him up to safety, for the MKS woman, Promise Knots, represent the importance to have faith in the wisdom that lies deep inside her and the ability to keep the promises she makes to herself.

Sea Signs - Find Your Magic When pearl divers were out at sea, they would use a compass and look up at the stars to locate where they were. With a design inspired by the compass, MKS Jewellery’s Sea Signs are decorated with sparkling diamond stars, reminiscent of those same magical stars we imagine Otaiba looked at, to remind the wearer to always follow her dreams and to never stop the pursuit in finding her own magic.

The Poet A nod to poetry as an artistic element of the UAE’s heritage, The Poet pieces feature beautifully detailed gold scroll capsules which house parchment scrolls of calligraphed poetry from Sheikh Zayed and Mana Al Otaiba. Named Nahham, the scroll vessels historically reference the entertainer that would accompany every boat full of pearl divers out to sea, lifting spirits by reciting poetry. MKS Jewellery brings these sentiments forward as it is part of the UAE’s heritage that shouldn’t be forgotten. "These symbols and storylines celebrate this land and its people. The UAE is me and I am the UAE, this is my story in all its beautiful symbolic ways. Curated is a stack of special creations, coming together piece by piece to share different parts of its treasures both in its gems and meaningful treasures." - HRH Sheikha Mariam Saif Al Nahyan The brand-new Al Otaiba collection can be previewed at Abu Dhabi Art 2019 between 21 and 23 of November before being released to select stockists. As a brand that values self-expression and believes that jewellery is a unique way for people to tell their own story, collaborating with Untitled Chapters to celebrate the launch of Al Otaiba was only natural. Untitled Chapters is a community founded in 2011 for Emirati women writers of all ages and genres to share their passion for the written word and will be sharing stories throughout Abu Dhabi Art. This natural synergy comes to life during Abu Dhabi Art 2019 to sustain creative story telling by offering a platform for poetry and written word artists to have their stories heard and brought to life. As poetry is one of the earliest forms of Arabic literature and one of the most historical means of self-expression, MKS Jewellery is keen to support its livelihood and celebrate its history. “The stories, just like the jewels one day will become part of our heritage and treasured history too”, says H.H Sheikha Mariam, “I wanted to celebrate my heritage, because it makes me who I am, it makes us who we are.” Discover the stories behind each jewel, created for the modern woman to connect with what has made her who she is today. VERONICA SHEYNINA Innovative Italian Fashion Vibes

102

By @yassa_ksa

After the successful Fashion Shows in Monte-Carlo in spring 2019 and Milan Fashion Week in September, Veronica Sheynina owner of Fashion Curator Agency - which is based in Italy, is giving an exclusive interview for Middle East readers. Yassa is discovering the true exclusive Veronica speech announcing that Fashion Curator is beginning a new project, Fashion Insider .

104 How was the project of Fashion Curator born? Fashion Curator was born two years ago with an idea to introduce to the European fashion experts some emerging Russian designers. I am a Russian-native living in Italy for many years. In this time I have been working as a fashion journalist and reporter for a number of important Russian fashion magazines, so I got to know the Italian fashion system really well. Having friends and colleagues in the industry, I once was asked if I knew some cool Russian emerging designers, so I thought “hey, why not try fashion scouting?” That’s how I brought my first client from Russia to Monte-Carlo, to the runway of the Monte-Carlo Fashion Week. Soon after we made runways and trunk shows in Rome and in Milan and my clients became not only Russians. I curated shows for Arabs, Brazilians, Kazakhs, recently even Italians. So that’s what I find really exciting: discovering new names, emerging brands and ateliers who are eager to grow and to do great things. There are many really creative and talented people out there and here on the “Old Continent” people are eager to see something new, fresh and cool What exactly do you do as a fashion curator? I organize fashion shows, trunk shows, and fashion presentations, which means a designer needs just to fly to me with their collection. The Fashion Curator finds a location, models, make-up and hair artists, organizes a nice scenario for the party, as a DJ set, live music or a cocktail with gourmet finger food. Every event is tailor-made, studied for each designer. The Fashion Curator brings guests to the event, which is probably one of the most important parts of the organization. We bring journalists, buyers, bloggers, fashion experts - prominent ones, not just random people who come for a glass of prosecco. And we ensure there are articles and reviews of the designer and on the collection in the magazines and on TV. We work as a press office and celebrity management as well. www.theciin.com

105 How does it work for an emerging designer to be featured in your fashion shows? When I meet a designer we analyze the brand’s identity, its needs, study the collections, the target and the budget. After we can decide what kind of event to do and where to showcase. Recently you’ve launched a new project of Fashion Insider Master Classes. Tell us more about that? Fashion Insider master class days were thought of to let emerging designers experience the world of the Italian high fashion by working together with Italian tailors, artisans, fashion designers and teachers of the leading fashion schools. This can be a precious experience for emerging talents to apply in their own work. In just a few days students discover the Italian know-hows in tailoring, in couture, by working in the ateliers and tailoring houses side by side with the artisans and craftsmen. Also, to make this program more exciting we complete it with some unique luxury experiences, such as visiting some exclusive fashion locations which are normally closed to the public. This may be, just to mention one of them, a private cocktail at Bulgari Domus museum with its brilliant collection of high-end jewelry, owned once by Hollywood stars and royal families, What do you think about people trying to copy you? How do you face the problem of unfair competition and people stealing your ideas? Well, I’m happy to inspire others and if I’m useful for that, that’s ok. I don’t really care about plagiary. Nowadays, all the information one shares becomes public and I cannot protect it from the stalkers.

December, 2019

What are your projects for the future? There are a lot of them. My head is always full of ideas and new projects to make the experience with Fashion Curator more and more exciting and exclusive. But let me keep them for myself for now, so they not stolen prematurely!

The new Mercedes-Maybach GLS A new form of luxury

116

The Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 4MATIC (combined fuel consumption: 12.0-11.7 l/100 km; combined CO2 emissions: 273‑266 g/km) represents a new form of luxury in the SUV segment. The Mercedes-Maybach GLS combines the body form and superior, robust technical basis provided by the GLS, the S-Class among SUVs, with all the technical and material luxury of a top-class sedan. Its spacious interior with the highest-grade materials and extremely effective noise insulation creates a stylish, cocoon-like feel-good atmosphere. From their pleasantly elevated seating position, thanks to electrically operated roller sun blinds on the two rear side windows, the passengers can decide for themselves how much of their surroundings they want to see. "The Mercedes-Maybach brand represents 'Ultimate Luxury' in its most contemporary, purest form", says Gorden Wagener, Chief Design Officer at Daimler AG. "The brand's style is embodied in sublime beauty, supreme aesthetics and elegance. In order to define the luxury of the future, we are taking the concept of Sensual Purity to the next level and transforming ourselves from a premium manufacturer to the world's leading design brand." The AIRMATIC suspension included as standard or the optional, fully-active suspension with E-ACTIVE BODY CONTROL effectively keep the road bumps at bay. For the first time there is a dedicated Maybach drive program that ensures even more comfort in the rear. This is the only system on the market that can individually control spring and damping forces at each wheel, suppressing rolling, pitching and lifting movements. Together with ROAD SURFACE

SCAN and the curve inclination function CURVE, E-ACTIVE BODY CONTROL makes an exceptional level of comfort possible, and supports the claim of Mercedes-Benz to build the world's most intelligent SUV suspension. E-ACTIVE BODY CONTROL operates with 48 volts. The system is based on the AIRMATIC all-air suspension system and offers the same all-round self-levelling. Furthermore, the electrically driven hydraulic pump generates dynamic forces that overlay the air suspension forces and actively support and dampen the vehicle body, e.g. during linear and lateral acceleration or when driving on uneven roads. The body no longer squats or pitches during braking and acceleration, and on poor road surfaces the system is even able to recuperate energy, roughly halving the energy requirement compared with the preceding system in the S-Class.

Additional features to enhance occupant comfort: In CURVE drive mode, the Mercedes-Maybach GLS actively leans into bends by up to 3° in three stages, like a motorcycle. This reduces the lateral forces acting on the occupants. Cornering is therefore made much more pleasant, especially for the front and rear passengers. The ROAD SURFACE SCAN function comprises a stereo multipurpose camera that continually records the road surface ahead of the vehicle. The suspension struts are then activated so as to substantially reduce the body movements when driving over surface undulations, as the suspension responds even before the uneven stretch is reached. This enhances the comfort in particular away from paved roads. The recovery function is included as part of the Off-Road drive program and helps to free the vehicle more easily if it gets stuck in sand, for example. If possible the suspension level is www.theciin.com

automatically raised and lowered automatically several times, which alternately increases or reduces the ground pressure of the tyres and therefore improves traction. The V8 engine with a displacement of four litres, which can develop 410 kW (558 hp) and 730 Nm of torque, is an engine variant developed exclusively for Maybach and moves the car discreetly and powerfully. The engine is combined with the 48volt system EQ Boost. An additional 250 Nm of torque and 16 kW/22 hp output are available temporarily via EQ Boost. Power is transmitted by the 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission. The wide spread of ratios for gears one to nine ensures a significant reduction in the engine speed and is a decisive factor behind the high levels of drive and ride comfort. Likewise, standard is the transfer case with variable transfer of the drive torque from 0-100 percent (Torque on Demand) between the axles. Two-tone paint finishes are optionally available, and these underline the balanced proportions of the body. A total of eight combinations are planned, the colour named first being that of the lower section: cavansite blue/iridium silver; designo diamond white bright/obsidian black; iridium silver/designo diamond white bright; iridium silver/selenite grey; obsidian black/kalahari gold; obsidian black/patagonia red; obsidian black/rubellite red; emerald green/mojave silver. These paint finishes are rendered particularly elegant by the fluid course of the separating lines, where a fine pinstripe in the one colour merges into the body of the other colour along the vehicle's beltline. This fine line once again echoes the pinstripe motif. The Mercedes-Benz star surmounts the bonnet in the classic way, while the fine, vertical chrome struts of the Maybach radiator grille create a pinstripe effect. Effective chrome highlights around the side windows, and the chrome inserts in the side sill panels, lend dignity and elegance to the profile. The same applies to the brand emblem, which is positioned at various points such as on the D-pillar. As a special, Maybachspecific feature, two-tone paintwork is available in seven different, elegant colour combinations. The 22 or 23-inch wheels were developed exclusively for this model, with the 23-inch version echoing the pinstripe theme. The tailpipe trim elements with a small cross rib emphasise the model's identity as a Mercedes-Maybach. Another eye-catching feature of the Mercedes-Maybach GLS are the electrically extending running boards. They make accessing December, 2019

and leaving the high seating position both convenient and safe. With surfaces of anodised aluminium laced with black rubber strips, illuminated in the dark and particularly wide in the area of the rear doors, they ensure a very special visual appeal. When in their retracted state, the running boards are concealed behind the side sill panels. If a rear door is opened, the running board on the side concerned automatically swings into position in around one second. This default setting can be changed using a special menu in the MBUX infotainment system. In the interests of spaciousness in the rear, the Mercedes-Maybach GLS is only available with two seat rows.

The equipment features: luxury, leather and reclining seats The appointments of the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 4MATIC are already decidedly luxurious as standard. The two outer rear seats can be electrically converted into reclining seats. Padded areas and the dashboard are finished in fine nappa leather as standard, with a range of further cushions and leather interior linings available on request. The high-gloss or open-pore wood surfaces of the trim elements, plus the upholstery in nappa magma grey/black or nappa mahogany brown/macchiato beige as standard ensure a very high perceived value. The same colour combinations are also available for the optional designo Leather package. For this a lighter upholstery colour in crystal white/silver grey pearl will become available as an alternative soon after market launch, awakening associations with interior design in luxury yachtbuilding and thereby underlining the high quality of the selected materials. One typical Mercedes‑Maybach detail is the colour rosé gold for the piping on the white leather. An electrically opening panoramic sliding/tilting sunroof with an opaque roller blind is standard equipment, as are climatised massage seats. Obtainable on special request, the fixed centre console transforms the car into a spacious four-seater whose rear is just as suitable for working as for relaxing. This console is available with extending, folding tables, even a refrigerator with space for champagne bottles. Suitable silver champagne flutes for this are available from the accessories range. A dedicated fragrance was developed for the Mercedes‑Maybach GLS for active fragrancing as part of the optional AIR BALANCE package: the white osmanthus blossom, floral and light, is rounded off by a gentle leather note and spicy tea. The in-door speakers of the Burmester® surround sound system are inset into the wood trim behind metal meshes. High-quality chromework and Mercedes-Maybach badges in the interior create further highlights. A stimulating contrast is created by the

117

traditional materials, their craftsman-like finish and the modern high-tech appointments of the Mercedes-Maybach. The removable tablet further enhances ease of operation when the rear passenger has adopted a particularly comfortable, reclined position with the separate cushions. If the occupant then also wants to use the seat's climatisation or massage function, listen to music or adjust the ambient lighting, they do not need to sit up again to select the setting. There are also command menus that can be called up in the MBUX, MBUX Rear Tablet and MBUX Rear Seat Entertainment System. The MBUX Rear Tablet is housed in the extended centre console in the four-seater variant, while it is located in the foldout luxury centre armrest with chrome trim element in the five-seater version. It also has space for an illuminated stowage compartment with two USB ports. Optionally a wireless charging module for smartphones can be installed here. Starting from this basis, added value that is typically Maybach is often a further result. For example, noise insulation in the interior has been raised to an even higher level by installing a rigid partition and a fixed parcel shelf behind the rear seats, separating the interior from the luggage compartment. From the power transfer and suspension to the headlamp technology, the technical systems of the Mercedes-Maybach GLS at least correspond to the most comfortable equipment level of the technically related Mercedes-Benz SUVs.

118

www.theciin.com

There is a dedicated Maybach drive program for the suspension and powertrain; its settings offer rear seat passengers in particular the ultimate in ride comfort. With the standard MBUX Rear Tablet in the centre console or the armrest between the rear seats, the extensive comfort and entertainment functions can also be intuitively controlled from the rear seats. The new Mercedes-Maybach GLS comes with many of the latest-generation Mercedes-Benz driving assistance systems included as standard. The PRE-SAFEÂŽ systems, which can increase the effectiveness of the car's protective functions by initiating in some cases reversible measures prior to an accident, are comprehensive and state-of-the-art, too. Options include a package incorporating Active Stop-andGo Assist and PRE-SAFEÂŽ Impulse Side. One of the stand-out features of the Executive seat in the Mercedes-Maybach is the cushion airbag in the seat cushion. In the event of a frontal impact, it is designed to stop the rear passenger from sliding under the belt when the seat is in the reclined position. The cushion airbag restrains the passenger as effectively as possible in the pelvic area and in this way boosts the restraint effect of the three-point seat belt equipped with inertia-reel tensioners and belt force limiters.

122 Purchased by two friends in 1995, the “House of Friendship” is playful, beautiful and a truly magical place that sits only 15 minutes’ drive from the walls of the ‘Red City’ of Marrakech in Morocco. Dar El Sadaka, which means “the one who seeks” in sanskrit, began its transformation in 2000, when visual artist Jean-François Fourtou chose to live. Fourtou became known in the 1990s for his unique sculptures of animals - lambs, giraffes, snails, and orangutans, among others – following the inspiration of François Pompom. However, there is a fine distinction: Fourtou is less interested in animals from a naturalist’s point of view than he is to evoking the world of childhood, half-magical, half-remembered, and most of all, his own. First a residence for artists, then the headquarters of a humanitarian foundation helping women and children in precarious living conditions in the region of Marrakech, also a yoga and meditation gateway, a place of soul-searching, Dar El Sadaka has evolved throughout time and now welcomes travellers from all over the world, but its spirit remains. Freshly refurbished by Philippe Forrestier, our villa marries modern comfort and its characteristic beauty with a warm atmosphere of peace, harmony and kindness. A giant sheep by the swimming pool is one of the first encounters you make when you arrive at Dar El Sadaka. The artwork of Jean-François Fourtou is spread all over the property, often in an unexpected way. On different scales, his sculptures of animals and his architectural constructions including the House Fallen from the Sky (“La Maison Tombée du Ciel”) and the Giant’s House (“La Maison du Géant”), make the villa and its gardens a delightful and fascinating place, inviting guests to unconventional experiences during their stay.

www.theciin.com

123 Offering the ultimate in luxury and comfort, guests at Marrakech Dar El Sadaka are offered their own personal concierge, housekeeping, chef team and service staff. With its spacious interior living spaces, including a library, a home cinema room and nine individually themed suites and bedrooms. The secluded estate is designed to give guests complete privacy and freedom. Engulfed by lush vegetation and protected by 24/7 security, it provides the ideal setting to unwind, let go and bask in nature. The villa offers an abundance of fireplaces, terraces and private patios, a unique sculpture park, an olive hedge maze, a large organic vegetable garden, as well as many different nooks and crannies, for sunbathing, reading, lounging, meditating, practicing yoga and exploring. The villa at Dar El Sadaka is available for private hire at the suites Worldwide. The leading brand hand-picks small holiday rentals that are truly original. Many reflect their owners’ passion for distinctive architecture and design. Some border on quirky, several are quite post. And a few are downright rustic.

The universe will support you in this through October giving you the time to build and make it a success. With the Lunar Eclipse in your 8th House and your ruler favoring Pluto, a positive change is coming that will affect you financially.

The eclipse patterns are going back and forth over the relationship axis of your horoscope. This began last October and on April 8th the Solar Eclipse places an emphasis on business and personal relationships, and/or developing a customer or client base. The most important thing to you is your love life and partnership issues. If you are single, an important new relationship may enter your life. If you are married, the emphasis is on that relationship for the coming year. It is also a very creative influence and the opportunity to turn your creativity in to a paying situation opens up. The Lunar Eclipse on April 24th sets up an excellent six month period for financial gain.

The 2019 april horoscope predicts that in april 8th 2019 the Solar Eclipse in Aries places an emphasis on your health, work, pets and activities you do behind the scenes.
