WELCOME TO HEDLEY
It’s my pleasure to extend a warm welcome from the City of Hedley, home of the Hedley Owls, population 312. We may be small, but we are proud!
Our Annual Chicken Barbecue dinner in September and our annual Cotton Festival in October were both canceled this year due to the pandemic, but we look forward to both of the events next year. Meanwhile, we are enjoying our Friday night six-man football season.
We have an excellent public school system and athletic program. We have three active churches, and our senior citizens center serves breakfast and lunch during the week.
Hedley is the home of Moffitt’s Hardware store, which has been in business for more than 102 years. If you have time, it’s worth stopping in to see.
We have recently started “Project Clean Up Hedley.” Being a small town, we have had some vacant buildings that have needed some attention. So a group of

people – including city council members, the volunteer fire department, and several members of the community – have come together to make up the Hedley Recreational Committee. They have brought more events to the Cotton Festival last fall, and they will be looking at projects on Main Street and the local park for a new but familiar look.
So, whether you are living in Hedley, just passing through, or looking for a place to relocate, I think you will find Hedley is a warm and friendly community with a bright future. Now Hosting Music
