What’s New:

Two grants are currently helping improve CCISD. The MIZ Grant (Math Innovation Zone) is intended to improve math scores and instruction through the implementation of blended learning. This school year, the Kindergarten, 3rd, & 6th grades are participating to be joined by the 1st, 4th, and 7th, then 2nd, 5th, & 8th in successive years. The READ Grant seeks to improve and enhance 2nd, 3rd, and 5th reading education; teaching new ELAR TEKS and effective instructional techniques & strategies.

Everyday CCISD staff is working to prepare our students for life after a high school diploma. Check the website to see this in action: https:// bit.ly/2B11w0L

On behalf of the Clarendon CISD student body, staff, and Board of Trustees, it is my distinct honor to welcome you to our family-centered community steeped in a rich history that dates back to the late 1800s.

Our goal at CCISD is to add to that history while providing a quality education in a safe, supportive environment where student success is paramount. We want to encourage, empower, and equip all students to achieve their full potential. We strive to provide the best educational experiences and opportunities for every student through high quality instruction and a wide variety of opportunities for students to get involved and enhance their leadership skills.

Clarendon CISD has a long tradition of excellence in providing students with an educational experience that prepares them to be well-rounded members of the community and to build a successful future. We take great pride in our community as well as in our past and current students.

This school year we were proud of our Bronco and Lady Bronco basketball teams, which both advanced to the Regional Quarterfinal round of the UIL playoffs.

We are also very happy that Josten’s honored the Clarendon High School Yearbook and Staff with the 2019 National Yearbook Program of Excellence Award.

And another high recognition came to our school system when the Texas Elementary Principals

Clarendon Superintendent Jarod Bellar

and Supervisors Association honored Elementary Principal, Mike Word, as the Region 16 TEPSAN of the Year.

Once a Broncho, always a Bronco! Welcome to Clarendon.
