THE IMPORTANCE OF ROOM SET UP The way your training room is set up will have a huge impact on the success of your event.

It is not just about having a place for the event to run but also ensuring you are providing certainty, love and warmth for the trainer and the attendees while they are at the event.

It is important to think through the way the room will be set up and how the room is going to be used by the trainer and attendees during the event. This will ensure the event will run smoothly, your attendees will feel welcome and comfortable and your sales will be increased.

To ensure your training rooms are always set up perfectly and consistently you should have a room set up checklist. This provides structure to your training room set up, meaning you can give your checklist to any one person to use and the room will be set up to your standards.

THREE CATEGORIES OF ROOM SET UP Areas to consider in your room set up checklist:

1. Front of Room/Event Space  Mock ups of products for sale on display  Trainer’s table set up with what they will need while presenting  Copies of the handouts being used to refer to  Chair or stool for the trainer  Extra chairs or stools for potential interviewees  Flipchart or whiteboard with pens  Company displays- banners or posters  Chairs set up- enough for all attendees  Spare chairs ready for extra attendees

2. Back of Room/Sales Space  Displays of products for sale  Products for sale set up  Order forms on clipboards  Pens to fill in order forms  Payment method  Handouts printed and in order  Invoice pads  Staplers  Tech Set up o
