DIARY DATES
Welcome! Thanks for the encouraging feedback from our first MasterMind mag, much appreciated! So much to do at the moment, as we’ve just had our Yearly Planning Meeting and came out of it with around 400 ideas, which have been catagorised, prioritised, and are now moving into project planning and delegating/doing.

This month’s rant is brought courtesy of the dreamer who wants to do $500k a year in business and is doing sweet F.A. towards making that happen, except make excuses. Mediocrity is everywhere. Don’t need to go far to find it. It’s in shops, businesses and people everywhere you care to look. And for some of us, sadly, it’s us. MARKETING MATTERS
STRATEGIES In our business I always start with the big picture – the outcome we want to achieve. We are forward planning what we want to do months before we do it. We don’t have, and will after I write this, a monthly marketing schedule showing what
we’re doing and where to bring more high quality leads to us that will convert. Next we have the Structure – the ‘what’ of what we’re doing. This is all the lead gen methods, the lead sources, the testing are you really reading this or just
glancing at it and doing nothing, if you’re reading this I think you’ve got a clue and a good chance to make it in this thing called business now where was I oh yes… Structure. Here’s an example of what I would do if I was you…

I’ve had something like this in place since I began doing business and every lead gen

been on our radar for over 12 months and just recently you can get them for free,
source was me, hustling. Don’t under estimate hustle as a marketing tool.
‘having a go’ and didn’t have a clue. I will never not know the answers to those questions again.
and our market seems to be getting more familiar and comfortable with them, so we’re giving them a go for our free events. Stay tuned.
If you get fancy, these numbers will go into a spread sheet and calculate formulas for you. I don’t care, nor know about that. I just know if I can’t measure it, I can’t improve it. I remember my first business coach asking me my average conversion rate and me having no clue. Then the prick asked me what I made
DOES IT GO WITHOUT SAYING THAT WE USE THIS ANALYSIS TO LOOK AT WHERE WE SHOULD TARGET MORE EFFORTS AND WHERE WE NEED TO EITHER CHANGE OUR STRATEGY OR GET OUT? Next we’re looking at what innovations we can bring that we aren’t as yet. QR codes, for example, have
We’re also going into red Balloon Days, and perhaps E b a y. Tr i a l l i n g , a n d measuring, new innovations that our market may or may not adopt. Just because it’s there doesn’t mean it will work. Our market is more ‘old school’ than early adopters, so we’ll see. The other thing we do all the time is test and measure. I could pretty well say to any of you, when you ask me a question, and here’s another test to see if you’re reading this you get a million bucks cash from me if you are (disclaimer and 100% get out of that promise clause is somewhere else in this mag) test and measure it rather than asking me.

We’re also big fans of marketing to our existing market. It might not look like it, because we’re pretty good at having marketing look like high-value content, which it is, but it’s marketing. The classes we run on Values Pendulum, the Bonus Classes I run for Diploma students, the interviews I do with $100k in your first year members… they’re all marketing heavily disguised as freakin’ awesome content.

THE QUESTION THIS MONTH FROM A COUPLE OF MEMBERS: I work full time, and I’m in MasterMind. What’s the best approach to take when I don’t have another source of income? Great question. I am not a fan of learning what you need so you can leave where you’re at. I don’t believe we can serve ‘two masters’, and if we’re going to take an employer’s dollar and their trust, then that should be rewarded with our 100% effort and
working full time and in the MasterMind program. Particularly as I know most other MasterMind Leaders would be saying the opposite to this, as for most entrepreneurs it is all about ‘freedom’ and ‘independence’. My recommendation is this – give 100% of you to where you are, applying EVERYTHING you’re learning, so the business you’re at benefits fully from what you’re learning. If you can’t improve an ongoing business, with all its support and structures already in place, you are
As you practice teaching it, applying it and testing it, you will add value to the company you are at. Win! You will find out what you’re made of and where you need to improve. Win! You will realise you can make a huge impact on the team and clients of the business you serve. Win! If, after 12 months, you are still asking how do I transition, you probably are still not ready for transition, or, you love what you’re doing where you’re at and everyone is benefitting. As long as you’re asking, ‘How do I get out?’ stay in. Just do that.
not going to be likely to be able to do it out on your own.

LEADERSHIP WITH PURPOSE
STRATEGIC THINKING AS A LEADER Was a time, I didn’t get leadership or its importance. It was most definitely an ‘added bonus’ that I was ‘hoping’ to get down the track. In the beginning, it’s all about the cash. It’s all about learning how to get someone to part with their hard earned cash because you have something way ore valuable to give them. It’s about being great at what you do, but more

this. How about you earn it, and give me, say, 20% of it instead? Don’t like that? T h e n w e re y o u re a l l y expecting the money?
And until you get good at that, leadership of a team is dreaming, wishing and… insert the word you think belongs here, mine was way too rude. And here’s that disclaimer I promised from earlier – no way am I handing over $1,000,000 cash just because you read
Back to programming.
regular
Of course, hindsight is that wonderful, magical ability that I will now conjure up and tell you, it was ALL leadership, all of the time, I just didn’t know it at the time.
UNTIL YOU CAN LEAD YOURSELF, YOU CAN’T LEAD A CLIENT OR A TEAM MEMBER. IT JUST CAN’T HAPPEN. Self-leadership is, in my opinion, one of the MOST

underestimated skills needed by more people than I count. I meet followers and people who defend mediocrity every single day. It’s boring, how many mediocre people I meet who think they’re extraordinary because facebook tells them they are, or because they joined a program. You’re extraordinary when you DO something extraordinary that usually helps out others. Until then,
you can’t even lead yourself. So I’m going to give you, right now, the ultimate model for leadership. It’s called the Benchmark Model, I developed it, I will trademark it and I will write an entire licence model around it and make a few million dollars from it. Nope, not kidding. How do I know? Because I know how to self-lead; it’s not a theory, or something I’m learning, I have it in the bag. Do you? And the
answer to that question, BTW, is yes, you do, if you want to. If you don’t, you have excuses. Once that’s sorted you can then, and only then, begin to think strategically as a leader. If your focus is on you, how can you think of others, therefore, how could you ever think strategically? I WILL EXPLAIN THE MODEL IN UPCOMING CLASSES AND ON THE SMALL BUSINESS ACADEMY MEMBERSHIP AREA FOR YOU.

Shane Boyd I started my journey with TCI in the Diploma of Life Coaching Program not really knowing what I was getting myself into. My background was consulting and owning and operating small business. Some successful, mostly not. My consulting business was floundering, lack of clients I thought. I know now it was the lack of systems and structure to get clients. Within a short time of being in the TCI community I was introduced to Mastermind. With no money‌ no I really mean no money, like riding day to day, I signed up.

RANDOM piled high, all of what you need in one place. Community, WOW, cool hey. Somewhat overwhelming at first, this constant flow of generosity, people constantly celebrating your success, awesome. The biggest shift for me, mindset. Having the mindset of success in all areas of my life. Modelling success being around it and living it. Meeting the partner of my dreams and living into the life I want and deserve. A romantic novel, yep, this is my life. Understanding that success in all its form is out there and only moments away if your know what to look for. Having the attitude to power through challenges to continue on the journey regardless of the challenges is the key. The attitude gives rise to the actions that will propel you forward. My business has grown from zero, yes zero to turning over more than $230k per month. Extraordinary absolutely, challenging absolutely, rewarding absolutely. I had found I was an action taker, only in comfortable situations. Easy. Now I take action when I'm uncomfortable, in fact bring it

Genevieve Matthews Got Invited‌. I've just had a very cool invite to present for the National Tourism Development Program streamed across OZ, this is a mentoring program run for 18-35 year olds. I've presented before over the years and I have to say this time I am super chuffed because the topic is not my normal "marketing, sales, networking", it is 'Brand Me' and I see the ESSP model being ideal for these upcoming industry leaders!!
Lisa Mills Reframes Her Broken Toe Broke my toe getting of bed this morning!! Won't stop me training though...bike, rower, core and upper body for this little bunny ! There is almost always a way to train around an injury..and science proves that keeping active and a positive mind leads to a quicker recovery...same goes for challenges and set backs in business...I reckon it's about finding the opportunity in the challenge. For me, it's a perfect way to show my clients how to overcome a physical challenge and stay focused on the end point. How do u reframe an unfortunate event...let's share and learn from each other!
