Undergraduate Programs Saint Rose freshman business students start with the Huether School first-year experience program, in which they, with their designated team, develop a plan to start their own business in a particular Albany neighborhood — collaborating with faculty, neighborhood business owners and residents, and economic development advisors in the process. Nine business concentrations enable students to focus on a specific area, and the senior capstone course will enable them to develop strategic management plans and in-depth case analyses. Business majors have many options: students can pursue the bachelor’s degree with up to two concentrations, accelerate their progress by applying to the dual degree program (bachelor’s degree and M.B.A.), or complete the 150-hour Professional Accountancy Program, which results in bachelor’s and master’s degrees and satisfies the State of New York, along with more than 40 other states, educational requirement to sit for the Uniform Certified Public Accountant examination. All C.P.A. candidates must pass this exam to qualify for a C.P.A. certificate and license to practice public accounting.
The 150-hour Professional Accountancy Program satisfies the State of New York, along with more than 40 other states, educational requirement to sit for the C.P.A. exam.

Saint Rose business students have stepped directly into full-time employment as a result of their internships. All undergraduate business majors are required to have at least one internship experience and M.B.A. students are encouraged to take advantage of these opportunities if their schedules allow it. Honors Internship Program The Huether School of Business has initiated an Honors Internship Program enabling students to compete for full-time summer internship experiences with national or regional organizations in the summer between their junior and senior year. The Honors Internship Program provides a scholarship to offset the cost of the internship credits and a limited number of stipends to assist with expenses.
