Undergraduate Programs The College’s B.A. in Communications offers students the opportunities to develop, write and/or produce TV and radio programs, newspapers, magazines, web and multimedia productions, as well as academic papers and projects. Through the capstone courses in each concentration, students conceptualize and craft scripts, TV programs, public service campaigns and a variety of media projects.

Undergraduate students choose one of three concentrations: Journalism, Public Relations, and Film & New Media Studies.

Graduate Programs The master’s program prepares students to be successful communications practitioners in for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. While demonstrating the integral relationship between and among practitioners in public relations and journalism, the program also recognizes the importance of technology in the changing communications workplace. In addition to meeting all Saint Rose graduate admission requirements, applicants to the master’s program must submit two writing samples appropriate to the field.

Faculty Saint Rose communications professors have all worked in their professional and academic fields of communication, broadcasting, public relations and journalism before becoming professors. Students benefit from their years of professional, research and teaching experience.
