Through a series of intertwining accounts, For Once, cuts to the heart of a family, and a community, turned upside down by tragedy. Tickets £12.50 Concessions £10 Schools £8

‘Kate Owens’ 28 day flower diary and other domestic and floral oddities’ incorporating pieces from Herefordshire Heritage Services. ‘– (All spaces) Traditional feminine occupations like floristry were seen as safe occupations to tame idle hands and minds. In this enthralling exhibition Kate wanted to up-end this idea creating bouquets which revel and reveal something uncontrollable, like the experience of female menstrual cycles. Mirroring Victorian floral arrangements Kate uses flower symbolism to express unspoken feelings. Using pieces of work kindly on loan from the Hereford Museum and Art Gallery, along with some found pieces, we have been able to work together combining this contemporary take on female crafts alongside some beautiful original pieces. Bette and Joan:

The Final Curtain

Gilbert and Sullivan’s fairy opera, Iolanthe is one of the duo’s most entertaining operettas. Acknowledged as one of the greatest Savoy operas, Gilbert’s satire on British politics remains as fresh and witty as when it was written and brought to life by Sullivan’s score. After 20 years of being banished for daring to marry a mortal, Iolanthe returns to her fairy family...only problem is she now has a son, Strephon, who falls in love with Phyllis, and asks for her hand in marriage. The Lord Chancellor rejects their union and the Queen of the Fairies sends Strephon into parliament where he creates chaos within its hallowed walls. Law will not surrender meekly, but love is determined to conquer all. A cunning plan is required... Tickets £16 for Thursday to Saturday, and £14 for Wednesday, Concessions £14.
