Now is the perfect time to plan your travel itinerary for 2022 and beyond.

HOW MANY OF US have spent hours and hours during the current pandemic reminiscing of past adventures and waiting for the borders to reopen so we can travel around the country and around the world again.

With an ever-increasing number of people getting vaccinated and new COVID-safe protocols in place, this is now a real possibility in the not-too-distant future.

Some of the measures being proposed or implemented include vaccination passports, pre-travel testing, strict sanitisation regimes, contactless facial recognition at check-in, shore excursion bubbles and electronic contact tracing.

All of these strategies mean travel will be safer than ever and there is now positive momentum in the industry.

The prediction is that cruising, especially, will make a resurgence in 2022, with many international cruise lines well advanced in offering amazing new ports of call and refreshed itineraries to tempt the most seasoned guests.

However, odds are that once we are able to travel freely again, many flights, cruises, hotels and tours may be booked out for months or even years in advance as people take to the skies or the seas.

So whether it’s cruising the Mediterranean, discovering the beauty of Europe or planning a luxury staycation within Australia, now may be the perfect time to start researching your favourite destinations and making bookings for future adventures.

After all, it would be shame if the borders reopened and you were still stuck at home due to a lack of pre-planning.
