Supporting Local Causes

CWC Group does not consider corporate responsibility as a mere philanthropic gesture or add-on. It is a part of our core business. The chosen charities in West Africa are Drifting Angels Orphange in Ghana and Nigerian Business Coalition Against AIDS (NIBUCAA) in Nigeria. In 2009 we funded the construction of new facilities for the Drifting Angels Orphange. Funds raised from the 2010 Ghana Summit were used to build more accommodation and funds from the 2011 Ghana Summit will be used to pay for the school fees for the children. Nigerian Business Coalition Against AIDS (NIBUCAA) supports the development of actionable activities around HIV & AIDS and we are proud to be part of the initiative. Given our long history of working in Africa and our extensive local contacts we are keenly aware of the impact of HIV and AIDS. In 2010, proceeds totalling N 231,400,00 were donated to NIBUCAA at the end of the 10th Nigeria Oil & Gas Conference and an exhibition stand was made available free of charge throughout the event. In 2011, CWC donated $50 from each delegate booking to the organisation.
