Corporate Responsibility CWC does not consider corporate responsibility as a mere philanthropic gesture or add‐on. It is part of our core business. We print materials and banners locally, use local security and transport companies, software companies, cleaners, catering, local stand builders and entertainment. CWC funds the Technical Sessions at its AEW event and with the support of Halliburton at NOG so that engineers, smaller firms and students can attend free of charge. CWC takes its responsibility towards the environment very seriously. We offset the carbon emissions for staff air travel to and from our events and courses.

We donate money to local charities in countries where we work. CWC is a major supporter of the Nigerian Childcare Trust and also supports the Motherless Babies Charity in Nigeria. CWC is also a member of The Nigerian Business Coalition Against AIDS (NIBUCAA). We have supported DIVOG, Drifting Angels Orphanage in Ghana by funding the building of their washing and toilet facilities. Funds raised from the Ghana Summits were used to install solar panels and more

accommodation for the children. Tackling key issues In‐country, our work is carried out in consultation with the key stakeholders including the Government Ministries, internationals investors, NGO’s and industry experts. For example, in Nigeria, we host a special session on the Niger Delta to engage all stakeholders to discuss the prevalent issues. We also work with governments and UNCTAD in researching and holding events on sustainable development and local content. And it’s not just externally...
