COMPANY PROFILE: WHW PLASTICS

l DTS is back… The DTS 2022 will be used to give you a glimpse into our recent product development and agency launches. This includes EVE, Jota, Mestra and our much-lauded Centri Print UHD model resin.

The DTS will be the first time that you will be able to see our new 3D printer: the Phrozen Mighty 4k. This machine has been developed with our partners at Phrozen, creating new printing strategies for dental appliances. Our new model resin Centri Print UHD was developed on this hardware, along with other resins that will be joining the Centri Print family.

The Phrozen mighty 4k represents a monumental change in the correlation between price point and accuracy of print. Utilising our own model resin highlights this even more, making printed models for the first time a legitimate alternative to gypsum, both in accuracy and cost.

Come to stand D15 to see it for yourself. With a start-up cost of under £1000 for everything required for the first time printer, will you be entering the digital age?

COMPANY PROFILE: RDT TECHNOLOGY LTD

Flexibility Is Our Strength

l RDT Technology Ltd was formed in 2005 to promote and sell the Valplast Flexible Partial Denture system originating from Valplast International Corp, USA. RDT’s technical director’s relationship with Valplast International Corp came about after many years of attending and lecturing at various international dental shows. During this time, he was offered many different products from various companies to market and sell within the UK, all purporting to be the next best thing in dentistry. However, in his view they never seemed that unique or interesting and in most cases they seemed to be just another “me too” product.

In 2004 he was introduced to Valplast Flexible Partial Dentures which straight away took his interest. After almost a year of investigation and discussions with other technicians in the UK and Valplast, he decided to undergo training to fully understand the product. He was invited to spend two weeks training at Valplast’s production dental laboratory in New York working alongside the inventor of flexible partial dentures (Arpad Nagy). “It was a true inspiration working alongside someone that had worked 77 years at the bench and was still passionate about dentistry”(at 91 years old).

RDT were surprised to find that Valplast did not have a supplier within the UK. Valplast’s president explained that they were very cautious when picking their partners around the world. Preferring to work with small, independent companies who would give their full backing and assistance to train and support dental technicians and dentists on how to correctly fabricate and fit Valplast flexible partial dentures. Valplast flexible partial dentures are not just a single product but more a complete system so require a dedicated team of trainers and a support network to ensure the correct training and on-going support and assistance.

Over the last sixteen years RDT have worked closely with some of the best Valplast technicians in the UK helping to establish Valplast as the premium brand that UK dentists and patients demand. This is despite the increased “copy products” that have been introduced into the flexible denture market over this period.

RDT have a small purpose built training laboratory at their Sussex offices where compulsory hands-on training courses are run at the convenience of the trainee and instruction on the fabrication of Valplast flexible partial dentures.

Unlike any other flexible partial denture material, Valplast is fully traceable back to source and comes with a serialised/registered guarantee certificate. All laboratories that process Valplast flexible partial dentures must have a certified Valplast technician that has taken part and past Valplast internationals certification programme. RDT is committed to ensuring that Valplast flexible partial dentures are produced in the UK and only by Valplast trained and certified laboratories.

RDT work to the highest standards offering the best service and quality to its customers. This includes their commitment to meeting customer and regulatory requirements by maintaining an effective quality management system, ISO 13485:2016 and compliance with the UK Medical Devices Regulations.

RDT are very much looking forward after over two years of no dental technician exhibitions in the UK, to finally seeing the lab owners and technicians face to face again at the DTS, Dental Technology Showcase, NEC in May 2022.

If you needed another reason to attend the DTS this year please take the time to visit RDT’s stand, H01, where the all-new Hydraulic Press for Valplast Flexible Partial Dentures will be showcased. Come and see for yourself the benefits to your lab and technicians by upgrading to this great press.

COMPANY PROFILE: ZIRKONZHAN

Zirkonzahn presents the M2 Dual Double Teleskoper at stand #C10! Fully automatic, flexible, vibration free – With extra-large Teleskoper Orbit Ø 125 mm: 1 orbit for 4 different blank diameters!

l More user comfort and higher flexibility: these are the distinctive features of Zirkonzahn’s new M2 Dual Double Teleskoper milling unit! The machine is equipped with fully automatic 5+1 axis simultaneous milling technology and with two separate milling chambers enabling sequential wet and dry processing of common soft and hard dental material without in-between cleaning. The highlight in terms of flexibility is the extra-large Teleskoper Orbit (Ø 125 mm): in combination with special interchangeable holders, it allows the processing of material discs with Ø 95 mm, Ø 98 mm, Ø 106 mm or even Ø 125 mm, as well as small blanks for single crowns, glass-ceramic and RawAbutments® blanks. Discs can be removed and reinserted back into the orbit at exactly the same position with high precision in micron range, which is particularly useful for adjusting the friction of telescopic jobs and for the two-stage fabrication of immediate restorations in case of implant-supported prostheses (Double Milling technique). The particularly stable double bearing suspension and the new, more powerful and compact spindle make the milling unit fully vibrationresistant, for high-precision milling of threaded channels in hard metals.

The machine is part of Zirkonzahn’s M2 milling unit comfort line, which includes five different machine types. According to the model, the milling units are equipped with one or two milling chambers and with the extra-large Teleskoper Orbit.

On its stand, Zirkonzahn will be showing the M2 Dual Double Teleskoper machine live in action, along with the S900 scanner, the Face Hunter 3D facial scanner and the Prettau® zirconia line – including the latest Dispersive® zirconia varieties provided with natural colour gradient for an aesthetic, anatomical design.

The Zirkonzahn employees on the stand (DT Alexander Lichtmannegger and Business Development Manager Jacqueline Ffrench) will be happy to discuss any queries and/or any doubts you might have.
