First, you’ll need four jars (save money and re-use any old jam or sauce jars!)

To make...

Boil the pasta (or rice) until al dente, add the peas into the pasta water and simmer for a further 2 minutes.

Meanwhile in a bowl, mix the tuna, mayonnaise, yoghurt and chives.

Rinse cold water over the pasta and peas and drain well.

Cut & Keep!

Add equal amounts of the tuna mix to each jar.

Then so the same with the pasta and peas.

Repeat by layering the cherry tomatoes, sweetcorn and orange pepper into each the jar and seal.

Place in the fridge to cool until you’re ready to eat!

The sun is shining (mostly) and if this year has taught us anything, it’s that we are extremely lucky to live in such a wonderful area like Hampshire - surrounded by parks, woodlands, and beaches.

This summer, people are making the most of the surroundings by organising picnics, sports days, beach days and more.

That’s why this month our two recipe’s feature a refreshing, non-alcoholic fizz for all of the family to enjoy and layered rainbow salad pots, perfect on a summers day out.

Start by cutting the peaches in half, remove the pip and put one half of one peach to the side. Chop the other three halves into roughly 2cm pieces.

In a saucepan, on a low heat, add the chunks of peach, lime juice and caster sugar. Cook for 5-7 mins, stirring occasionally until soft.

Remove the mix from the heat and add it to a blender, then blend until smooth.

Pour into a jug and place in the fridge to cool (1 hour).

Thinly slice the remaining peach half and put two slices into each serving glass.

Add a few raspberries to each glass and evenly divide the peach puree into each glass.

Add crushed ice, mineral or sparkling water and garnish with mint.

The Drive-in is a brand-new event being held at Goodwood Motor Circuit, just outside Chichester. With the much love race days now cancelled or postponed, Goodwood has created this immersive drive-in experience which adheres with social distancing guidelines.

In partnership with Secret Cinema and HäagenDazs ice-cream, there will be screenings of our favourite classics, Rom-Coms, horrors and comedy’s all summer as well as interactive pre-screening performances, delicious American diner-style food and luxury icecream delivered to your car!

The event has become a huge success since its opening night on 5th July and in keeping with true to British motorsport spirit, has seen many classical cars park up filled with families dressed in period-appropriate outfits to enjoy the evening’s entertainment.

Once parked in your allocated bay, you will receive a JBL portable speaker to use in your car during the screening, which has been sanitised for your use. Hot and cold food, as well as soft and alcoholic beverages will be available to order online at each drive-through event and available for pre-order too and will be delivered to your car throughout the film.

Goodwood has said the event has been created to bring a much-needed dose of fun into our lives and allow us all to come together again, even while we’re apart. Toy Story, The Hunger Games, Moulin Rouge, Star Wars, Reservoir Dogs, Pretty Woman and American Psycho are just a few of the many films that are set to be shown. The screenings are held every day until the 31st August 2020 and prices start from £50 a ticket per car, with a maximum of five people (NHS Staff get a 50% discount on tickets subject to availability).

The number of incidents in June this year was double the normal average, with one of them needing great skill to rescue three crew from a boat in breaking waves The average number of incidents in June over the past five years is 9, but this year we had 18 with more in mid-week than usual probably due to the fine weather and many workers not at work or working at home. One man had to be pulled out from the mud and a number of swimmers have been caught out by the strong currents in the harbour mouth despite signs saying its dangerous.

Three young men in a small yacht ran aground off W Wittering Beach and got ashore as the tide dropped. The Selsey Coastguards secured the boat but later, as the tide came in the crew returned and went aboard. Before long however they found themselves in breaking waves and called for help. Both lifeboats went to the casualty and put a crew member aboard but it was too dangerous to try to take the men off. A tow was established and the yacht was taken to safety (pictured). The crew were new to sailing and had no lifejackets or other safety equipment and promised to get some before going out again.
